Analysis of Temperature Distribution and slip in Rapid Thermal Processing (급속 열처리시 실리콘 웨이퍼의 온도분포와 슬립 현상의 해석)

  • A numerical solution of temperature and thermally induced stress in a wafer during rapid thermal processing (R.T.P) is obtained, and an analysis of onset and propagation of slip is performed and compared with experiment. In order to calculate temperature distribution of a wafer in R.T.P system, heat conduction equation that incorporated with radiative and convective heat transfer model is solved, and the solution of the equation is calculated numerically using alternating direction implicit (A.D.I) method. In dealing with radiative heat transfer, a partially transparent body that absorbs the radiation energy is assumed and this transparent body undergoes multiple internal reflections and absorptions. Two dimensional (assuming plane stress) thermoelastic constitutive equation is used to calculate thermal stress induced in a wafer and finite element method is employed to solve the equation numerically. The stress resolved in the slip directions on the slip planes of silicon is compared with the yield stress of silicon in order to predict the slip. The result of the analysis shows that the wafer temperature at which slip occurs is affected by the heating rate of the R.T.P system. It is observed that once slip occurs in the wafer, the slip grows.

  • 광디스크 미디어 저장기기에 있어서 음악과 영상을 재생하는 광디스크 플레이어의 기구부품 중 턴테이블은 디스크를 장착, 고정하여 디스크에 기록된 신호를 재생케 하는 광디스크 메커니즘의 중요기능 부품이다. 특히 별도의 클램퍼 없이 턴테이블에 부설된 탄지력만으로 디스크를 장착, 고정하는 슬림형 플레이어에서 스핀들 모터의 회전 시 턴테이블에 장학된 광디스크의 슬립은 재생에러를 야기한다. 스피닝 회전속도가 증가할수록 디스크의 슬립을 방지하기 위해서는 디스크와 턴테이블의 증가된 마찰력이 요구된다.(중략)

  • A sensorless vector control of an induction motor provides a good performance in the middle and high speed region. However, in the low speed region, it is very difficult to implement the sensorless vector controller because the feeding voltage measured by the motor is very low. In this paper, we designed the sensorless vector controller of an induction motor using the estimate of the slip frequency. To verify the performance of the proposed controller, an experiment has been performed.

  • A gerotor is used in power-steering units (PSUs) as well as in hydraulic motors or pumps. The inner rotor is developed on the basis of the shape of the outer rotor tooth, which normally has one arc. The method of generating inner rotor on the basis of a generalized shape of outer rotor is analyzed with a view to improve PSU characteristics. An arc-shaped outer rotor with two curvatures was used in the analysis; design parameters such as the shape and curvature of the inner rotor, the flow rate of the gerotor, the position of contact point, and slip velocity are calculated, and these results are shown. This analysis enables us to develop a new design of compact PSUs.

Non-linear Dynamic Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Slabs Subjected to Explosive Loading Using an Orthotropic Concrete Constitutive Model (이등방성 콘크리트 모델을 이용한 폭발하중을 받는 철근콘크리트 슬래브의 비선형 동적해석)

  • An improved numerical model for non-linear analysis of reinforced concrete (RC) slabs subjected to blast loading is proposed. This approach considers a strain rate dependent orthotropic constitutive model that directly determines the stress state using the stress-strain relation acquired from the data obtained using the biaxial strength envelope. Moreover, the bond-slip between concrete and reinforcing steel is gradually enlarged after the occurrence of cracks and is concentrated in the plastic hinge region. The bond-slip model is introduced to consider the crack direction of the concrete under a biaxial stress state. Correlation studies between the numerical analysis and the experimental results were performed to evaluate the analytical model. The results show that the proposed model can effectively be used in dynamic analyses of reinforced concrete slab members subjected to explosive loading. Moreover, it was determined that it is important to consider biaxial behavior in the material model and the bond-slip effect.

  • Information of the lateral velocity and the sideslip angle in a vehicle is very useful in many active vehicle safety applications such as yaw stability control and rollover prevention. Because cost-effective sensors to measure the lateral velocity and the sideslip angle are not available, reliable algorithms to estimation them are necessary. In this paper, a sliding mode observer is designed to estimate the lateral velocity. The side slip angle is estimated using the recursive least square with the disturbance observer and the pseudo integral. The estimated parameters from the combined estimation method are updated recursively to minimize the discrepancy between the model and the physical plant, and any possible effects caused by disturbances. The performance of the proposed monitoring system is evaluated through simulations and experiments.

  • Wall slip models are essential to the study of nonequilibrium gas transport in rarefied and microscale condition that can be found in gas flows associated with aerospace vehicle, propulsion system, and MEMS. The Maxwell slip model has been used for this type of problem, but it has difficulty in defining the so-called accommodation coefficient and has not been very effective in numerical implementation. In the present study, on the basis of Langmuir's theory of the adsorption of gases on metals, a physical slip model is developed. The concept of the accommodation coefficient and the difference of gas particles are clearly explained in the new model. It turned out that the Langmuir model recovers the Maxwell model in the first-order approximation. The new models are also applied to various situations including internal flow in a microchannel. Issues of validation of models are treated by comparing analytic results with experiment.

Fabrication of Y-TZP/Ce-TZP Multilayer Composites Using Slip Casting(I) (슬립주입에 의한 Y-TZP/Ce-TZP 다층복합체의 제조(I))

  • 3Y-TZP, 12Ce-TZP 및 3Y-TZP, 12Ce-TZP 현탁액의 제타포텐셜과 겉보기점도의 측정으로부터 슬립주입공정에 의한 다층복합체의 제조조건을 조사하였다. 아울러 다층복합체의 소결밀도, 미세구조, 결정상에 미치는 열처리의 영향을 검토하였다. 3Y-TZP와 12Ce-TZP 현탁액의 등전점을 pH 8부근이었으나 3Y-TZP/12Ce-TZP의 등전점은 pH8.6이었다. 현탁액은 전단속도의 증가와 더불어 점도가 감소하는 의가소성유동을 나타내었다. 15 및 20vol% 고체함량을 갖는 3Y-TZP와 3Y-TZP/12Ce-TZP 현탁액은 소량(0.3wt%)의 유기해교제의 첨가만으로 슬립주입에 적당한 유동성을 보유하였으나, 12Ce-TZP의 경우는 점도를 감소시키기 위하여 부가적인 전해질이 필요하였다. 이론밀도의 98% 이상을 보유하고 0.3~$2.2\mu\textrm{m}$의 입경을 갖는 치밀한 다층복합체가$ 1500^{\circ}C$ 소결로 얻어졌다.

  • A new slip power recovery system applying a switch mode converter to the rotor circuit of the wound rotor induction machine is proposed and investigated in this paper. With the analysis of the steady-state performances of the proposed system, it can be shown that the speed can be controlled by the duty ratio of the converter switch and the several characteristics of a conventional system can be also improved. In particular, the low power factor and the harmonic components in the line current, which are the main disadvantages of the conventional system, is significantly improved, and linear speed regulation can be obtained. Theoretical and experimental results are presented and illustrated to demonstrate the satisfactory working of the proposed system.

  • 본 논문은 슬립 주파수형 벡터제어에 기초하여 인버터 구동 교류 서보전동기 속도제어 시스템을 구성하고 광범위한 속도제어 방법에 대하여 나타내었다. 구동 시스템은 16비트 CPU(V50)을 이용한 디지털 제어기와 전동기 구동 전원으로 순시전류 추종방식 인버터(Current Source Inverter)로 구성된다. 실제 300[W] 유도전동기의 저속에서 속도 변동(진동)이 발생하는 원인을 해석하기 위해서 회로 동작을 소프트웨어와 하드웨어적으로 조사한다. 시뮬레이션을 하여 저속에서 속도변동 원인을 구명하고 그 대책에 대하여 나타내었다.
