Optimum Mix Design for Waste Newsprint Paper Fiber Reinforced Cement Composites (폐지섬유보강 시멘트 복합체의 최적배합비 도출)

  • This research investigates the mixture proportioning of waste newsprint paper fiber for thin-cement product. Waste newsprint paper fibers obtained through shredded mechanically by a dry process. Waste newsprint paper fiber reinforced cement composites was manufacted by slurry-dewatering method. The waste newsprint paper fiber reinforcement conditions (fiber mass fraction, level of substitution of virgin fibers, level of fiber beating) and processing variables (pressed, unpressed) are optimized through experimental studies and statistical analyses based on factorial design of experiments and analyses of variance. The optimized recycled waste newsprint paper fiber reinforced cement composites were technically evaluated. The results are shown to possess acceptable properties and strong potentials of the recycling of waste newsprint paper of the reinforcement of thin-cement products.

  • Recently, dewatering process method of high water content materials that utilize geotextile has many applications in variety fields. It is method of dewatering to solid step through self-weight consolidation process after pour sludge using filtering efficiency and dewatering efficiency. Analyzed application of domestic manufactured geotextile tube that can examine physical characteristics of geotextile tube and filling soil and achieve filtering efficiency and dewatering efficiency. Based on the various laboratory and field test results mixing proportions of water and soil is about 6:4 at least. Polypropylene geotextile is more effective for drainage and dewatering function of geotextile tube application.

Moisture Sensitivity and Aging Effects of Recycled Wastepaper fiber Cement Composites (폐지섬유보강 시멘트 복합체의 수분민감성 및 열화특성)

  • This research investigates the moisture and aging effects of wastepaper fiber-cement composites. Wastepaper fibers is obtained by a dry process. Wastepaper fiber-cement composites was manufactured by the hatscheck process. The effects of moisture and aging on the performance of wastepaper fiber-cement composites were investigated through accelerated laboratory tests simulating the effects of moisture sensitivity and wet-dry cycles as well as freeze-thaw cycles and long-term drying. They were shown to possess acceptable moisture and aging performance compared with virgin fiber cement composites.
