현대(現代)패션에 나타난 스포티즘의 유형(類型)과 미적(美的) 특성(特性) (The Types and Aesthetic Characteristics in the Sportism Expressed in Modern Fashion)

  • This study focuses on the sportism expressed in the modern fashion. Many factors attribute to the advent of sportism such as rapid development and cultural changes toward sports, increase in leisure time, new fashion materials resulting from new technologies, youth culture and postmodernism. Designers gazing into the future are inspired by the details and functionality of clothing for snow boarding, skiing, rock-climbing and fitness. While the sportswear is the term whith stemmed from the need for functionally in sports, the Sportism is the style inspired by the formative elements, that is, the details, the silhouette, and the colors of the sportswear. New technologies for sports, the powerful influence of youthful culture, and the celebritizations of the sports stars made the sports look more popular. It can be categorized into three aesthetic values, i.e., the functional sportism, the street sportism, and the futuristic sportism. The functional sportism is expressed with the details of function, simplicity, and no useless ornament, the street sportism with fun, androgynous and unisex mode and the image of hip-hop look and traditional look, the futuristic sportism with new high tech fabrics and cyber style. The characters of these are a sence of unisex, sensualness, ostentation, renovation.

국내 패션에 나타난 스포티즘에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Sportism in Domestic Fashion)

  • This study is to review, in the social and cultural context, the main causes for the sportism that prevails in modern fashion, and to analyze the typical expressions in the domestic fashion. Many factors attribute to the advent of sportism such as rapid development and cultural changes toward sports, increase in leisure time and abundant opportunities, new fashion materials resulting from new technologies, emerging youth culture and increasing preference for such culture, and the postmodernism. With this background, sportism, which has been appearing in the domestic fashion, falls into 5 categories as follows based on the type of its expression. “Urban Street Sportism” is affected by the new sports culture of urban young people, which is characterized such that body line is disregarded with over-sized garment in layered style without considering T.P.O. concept. “Romantic Sportism” applies colors, fabrics and details of romantic images to sporty items, or culminates the feminine and elegant sportism by using the sporty fabrics and details along with romantic items. “Vintage Sportism” is characterized by its well-refined, high quality expression of naturally worn for long time, which is affected by the postmodernism. “Urban Utility Sportism,” which is developed with such design factors as fabrics, styles, details and colors with emphasis on their utility and functionality, explicitly accommodates the changed modern life styles particularly in urban areas. Lastly, the military image, which was developed during the Iraq War along with simultaneous anti-war activities, and the peace messages, which deliver the mankind's hope for the world peace and social wellness, formulate the “Military Sportism”.

패션 이미지 융합 어휘를 통한 로맨틱 스포티즘 특성 분석 -2010년 S/S부터 2016년 S/S까지- (A Study of Romantic Sportism Style by the Fusion Vocabulary of Fashion Image -Focusing on Trends from 2010 S/S to 2016 S/S-)

  • This study reveals the aesthetic characteristics and formative characteristics of the converged images of romantic sportism by analyzing how sportism fashion and romantic images fuse together. As for research methods, this study examines the aesthetic and formative characteristics of sportism fashion and the aesthetic and formative characteristics of romantic styles after grasping the basic concept and background based on a literature study of romantic and sportism fashion. As for an empirical study, the styles of sportism fashion pictures of romantic images collected from 2010 S/S to 2016 S/S from www.vogue.com were analyzed. The study results showed that there are 4 aesthetic characteristics of romantic sportism in modern fashion that included 'non-oriented form visibility', 'non-boundary sensibility', 'multi-sense blend', and 'non-formal mixed usage'. The formative characteristics based on these aesthetic characteristics are also derived in accordance with design factors as well as analyzed through representative pictures.

하이브리드에 의한 패션의 스포티즘 연구 (Sportism in Fashion Generated from Hybrid)

  • Sportism is continuously expressed in every season in a different theme and established as a Mega-Trend of the early 21 th century fashion. This study was conducted to research the social and cultural sources of the sportism expressed in the early 21th century fashion. This study focused on hybrid as one of the post-modem phenomena. By analysing social and cultural sources of the sportism, three aspects were found; first, many different fashion trends are coincides in post-modem society, which is possible and accelerated by hybrid each other. Second, the complicated and competitive society urge the people to review the past and the originality. Third, youth-oriented and individualistic lifestyle was brought by the development of the technology and economic surplus. Hybrid of the TPO was analysed which made the sportism mega-trend. 'Formal wear was mixed with casual wear, casual wear with active sportswear, hi-fashion with street fashion, and hi-fashion influenced formal and casual wear again'. The sportism prevalent in 21th century fashion can be explained by this system of hybrid. Results of the analysis in this study can be categorized into four aesthetic values based on hybrid of the styles, which are glamorous sportism, romantic sportism, minimal sportism, and heritage sportism.

  • 현대사회는 지속적 성장과 물질적 풍요, 기술발전 등으로 인한 생활 패턴의 변화와 함께 사회, 경제적으로도 많은 변화를 겪고 있다. 과학문명의 발달과 사회변화에 따라 여가선용과 건강증진의 수단으로 스포츠가 크게 부각되고 있으며 스포츠를 즐기는 특정 집단의 한계가 사라지면서 연령과 성별에 관계없이 많은 사람들이 즐기게 되었다. 또한 웰 빙(Well Being)을 추구하는 경향으로 운동을 통해 건강을 지키려는 트렌드와 자신만의 시간을 만끽하고자 하는 라이프 스타일이 확산되어 각종 스포츠와 레져 산업이 각광받고 있다.

일상복 겸용의 애슬레저 바이크 웨어 디자인 개발 연구 (Design development of athleisure bike wear to be a casual daily wear)

  • Sportswear transforms itself into a new fashion item to satisfy desires for beauty in addition to having functionality and movability for sports activities. Sportswear is not in fashion just temporarily but comes in various forms along with sociocultural phenomenon that put emphasis on well-being and leisure. This research aims to study the needs of the bikers who ride bicycles or cycles has become a popular outdoor activity, and give suggestions for high functional sports design that can satisfy the needs of the highly demanding taste of athletes. To understand the design development direction and design preference, practical consumer needs were derived through a survey analysis on bike wear purchasing satisfaction and actual wearing state by bike riders. For consumer needs analysis, focus group interview, in-depth interview and questionnaire method were used. Based on analysis of those researches, athleisure bike wears appropriate for urban sports activities were categorized into sports, life, fitness and leisure 4 styles for athleisure bike wear design development. It is believed that this study will contribute to in the category expansion of sports wear market and satisfy the consumer demands for functional and specialized casual bike wears as well as fashion factors optimized to life style of modern people.

남성복 컬렉션에 표현된 이미지 스타일 분석 - 2001년 S/S ~ 2010년 F/W 파리컬렉션을 중심으로 - (The analysis of the image style expressed in men's fashion collection - focusing on Paris' collection from 2001 S/S to 2010 F/W -)

  • In modern society, men are selecting dress based on physical features as well as individual taste. Through this concern with appearance, new descriptive words have appeared from time to time. Therefore this study aimed to analyze the type of image style expressed in the Paris Men's Fashion Collection during the period of 2001 S/S collections~2010 F/W collections. This study used Frequency and Chi-square tests through SPSS 12.0 program for the analysis of a total of the 1,357 materials shown from nine designers. The results were as follows. As a result of examining the image style according to chronology and season by frequency and the tendency of design works by chi-square test, in the tendency of the image style by chronology, the style emphasizing a sexy and manly appearance is preferred through the tendency that Homme Fataleism has been continually released in foreign men's fashion collections for about ten years. In the tendency of the image style by season, the image style of the Homme Fataleism was highly published in SS and FW season except for SS in 2004 and 2008. In the tendency of design works by chronology and season, the H-silhouette was highly preferred for about a decade. In color, the light brown group was frequently used until 2008 while gray has mainly been of use since 2009.

이소재 복합 ATY사를 이용한 PET Base 가방지용 직물 개발 (The Development of Bag-fabrics with Using ATY Composite Yarn)

  • 가방지 중에서 고급 브랜드의 핸드백은 근래의 세계적인 경기불황에서도 꾸준한 소비층을 형성하면서 매출 상승을 유도하고 있는데, 기존 40~50대 시니어들을 위한 전통적인 레자 또는 자카드 문양직물의 고유한 디자인 뿐만 아니라 20~30대의 젊은 층을 위한 다양한 칼라의 프린팅 문양 직물도 많이 개발되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 잠재권축사와 고강력PET를 이용하여 이소재 복합 ATY를 제조하고 제직 및 날염을 통해 다양한 프린팅 문양을 발현할 수 있는 가방지용 직물 개발에 관한 것이다. 최근의 캐주얼 및 힙합룩은 물론, 베이직 정장 차림까지 트렌디한 우븐 백이 코디 아이템 1호로 떠오르고 있는데, 가방용 브랜드 중"레스포색"과 "키플링" 등이 급상승 기류를 타며 국내에 빠르게 정착하고 있으며 수입 브랜드인 경전상사의 "롱샴"도 폴딩백으로 인기를 누리고 있다. 핫 이슈인 스포티즘을 떠올리지 않더라도 최근의 변화는 소비자의 니즈를 적극 수용하려는 패션잡화 업체들의 움직임을 대변하고 있으며, 직물형태의 백이 합리적인 가격에서나 가볍고 편리한 실용적인 부분 모두 소비자의 니즈를 채워주기에 충분하고, 트렌드가 부각된 가방일수록 시즌에 따라 스피디하게 구매가 이뤄지고 있다는 장점이 있어서, 최신 트렌드의 디자인과 재료 효과를 극대화한 제품이 다수 선보이고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 다양한 트렌드 디자인의 문양 발현을 위한 직물을 위해 PET Base의 잠재권축사와 PET 고강력사를 사용하였는데, 이때 사용되는 잠재권사는 Effect사로써 온도, Air압 등의 공정요소 제어를 통해 Soft한 touch을 위한 잔루프를 발현하도록 하였으며, PET 고강력사는 Core사로 사용함으로써 잠재권축사의 강도를 보강하여 가방지로써 요구되는 강력을 가질 수 있도록 하였다.
