  • Recently, industrialization of sports is consisting rapidly as social part of sports is magnified by diffusion of domestic sports market and sport consumer's increase. Sports sponsorship has property of a communication policy too and contributes to climb general communication effect of corporation. The purpose of this study is that we are to review relationship among the sports sponsorship, product attitude and purchase Intention. The results of research hypotheses are that sports players, events sponsorship have effect on product attitude except teams sponsorship, then product attitude has an effect on purchase intention.

  • This study is aimed at providing basic data necessary for promoting consumption of professional sports licensing in the industry through service quality. Specifically, the current study examines the effects of service quality and licensing product intentions on professional sports and evaluates the moderating identity. For this study, we distributed a total of 480 questionnaires to those sampled through non-probability sampling from people living in small and medium cities including Seoul. Collected data were coded and entered into the computer, and statistically processed using SPSS Statistics 18 The results were as follow: First, service quality of professional sports significantly effect on licensing product intentions, but identity could not effect on licensing product intentions. Second, Identity as a moderating variable has significantly positive effect on the relationship between star player of service quality and Licensing Product Intentions. In conclusion, the companies that participate as title sponsors in professional sports were proven to promotion their licensing product intentions, as identified with sports fans through service quality of professional sports such as record, attractiveness, star player and locally affiliated.

  • This study was conducted to identify the negative effects of sports sponsorships on consumer attitudes towards sports celebrities and the products advertised by them. The results of this study verified the main effects of sports celebrities' responsibility level on consumer attitudes toward the sports celebrity and his/her products in cases of negative incidents. Furthermore, the moderating roles of sports celebrities' response strategies were identified. Data were collected from 135 undergraduate students in the Republic of Korea using a questionnaire. The data from nine participants were discarded because of disingenuous answers to the questionnaire; thus, the final sample consisted of 126 participants. Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) of the obtained data revealed that a sports celebrity's responsibility level has negative effects on consumer attitude toward the sports celebrity and the product. The moderating effects of the sports celebrity's response strategies were also significant.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the change of Korean image, product image, purchase intention and revisiting intention according to winning at the global sport event. The intercollegiate students attending in Korea were selected for the sample of this study. The data were analyzed through t-test, Regression Analysis, Reliability Analysis, Frequency Analysis, Confirmatory Factor Analysis using SPSS 12.0. The conclusions of this research are following; First, there would be significant differences of factors - the Korean image, product image, purchase intention and revisit intention - before and after the global sport events. Second, there would be significant differences of factors before and after the global sport events due to the event involvements.

Effect of Social Media Engagement of Sports Advertisement on Product Trust and Purchase Intention

  • The purpose of this study is to present supporting data that can suggest a direction for sports advertisement strategy on social media by investigating how differences in social media engagement of sports advertisement affect users' product trust and purchase intention. To achieve this purpose, a total of 810 questionnaires, which were completed by sports-related college students engaged in social media activities using a method for writing a self-evaluation report, were collected, and 765 questionnaires were used as final valid samples after excluding 45 insincerely completed copies. For data processing, analyses of frequency, factor, reliability, correlation, and multiple regression were conducted using the Window SPSS (ver. 23.0) statistical program to draw the following conclusions. First, the social media engagement of the sports advertisement had a significant effect on the trust of the advertised products. Second, the social media engagement of the sports advertisement had a significant effect on the purchase intention of the advertised products. Third, the product trust acquired through the sports advertisement had a significant effect on the purchase intention.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the change of Korean image, product image, purchase intention and revisit intention after successful results in the global sport event. A group of intercollegiate students were selected using the purposive sampling method for the study. Statistical methods were used for enhancing validity and reliability for this paper such as t-test, regression analysis, reliability analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. The statistical package programs for this research were SPSS(ver. 12.0) and AMOS (ver. 7.0). The conclusion of this research were; (1) There are significant differences in factors such as Korean image, product image, purchase intention and revisit intention before and after the global sport events. (2) There are significant differences in factors before and after the global sport events when two groups were separated in terms of event involvements.

The Relationship between Consumption Value of Sports Products, Upward Comparison Propensity, and Post-Purchase Happiness in Adolescence

  • This paper aims to investigate the relationship between consumption value of sports products, upward consumption propensity, and post-purchase happiness among adolescents. The subjects of the study were extracted from adolescents in Chungcheong-do by convenience sampling method, and 257 people were used in the final analysis. Statistical methods were frequency analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The research results are as follows. First, social value and exploratory value, which are sub-factors of consumption value, were shown to have a significant effect on upward consumption propensity, but functional value and self-value were found to be statistically insignificant. Second, social value, self-value, and functional value, which are sub-factors of consumption value, had a significant effect on post-purchase happiness, but exploratory value was found to be statistically insignificant. Third, the upward comparison propensity was found to have a significant effect on post-purchase happiness.

Analysis on the Effects of Sports Sponsorship by Brand Type of Pyeong Chang Winter Olympic Official Sponsors' (평창 동계올림픽 공식후원사의 브랜드 유형에 따른 스폰서효과 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of sport sponsorship on the advertising effectiveness by distinguishing products of high sponsorship products from low sponsorship products. For this study, 450 samples who directly spectated their game were selected using convenience sampling method, finally 426 data were used except data which didn't respond or trustlessly responded. Data was collected through questionnaires. Data was analyzed through PASW 19.0 version frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, independent sample t-test analysis, one-way ANOVA analysis paired sample t-test analysis was performed. All tests were performed using a .05 significance level. The results are as follows. First, This is the Result of T-test between brand effectiveness and gender. There is a non difference between male and female. Second, The results showed that there was statistically significant difference between the low perception perceived quality and low perceived sponsor familiarity according to current level of Education. Thirdly, This is the Result of T-test between low involvement perceptual quality, low sponsor friendly image and high involvement perceptual quality, high sponsor friendly image. There is a difference.
