Spectrum Sensing Method of Cognitive Network applying Energy Harvesting (에너지 하베스팅이 적용된 스펙트럼 감지 방안)

  • In this paper, we propose energy harvesting apply to spectrum sensing. In this case, we can be spectrum sensing without consume energy. Algorithms of sensing and harvesting are determine active or idle of primary network, Compares with the threshold energy and the amount of energy that is harvested by energy harvesting scheme. If the secondary network want to send a message while the primary network is active, secondary users will change frequency to use the spectrum. Further, if the secondary network has not message, it will continues harvest energy. Therefore, spectrum sensing applied the energy harvesting method, energy of secondary network is remove waste and charge energy. So, efficiency and utilization of cognitive network can be increase.

  • This paper proposes an image system that can efficiently measure the spectral reflectance of a scene using RGB cameras and LED light sources. Multispectral imaging system is composed of LED controllers, LED clusters and RGB cameras. It captures full-spectral images at real-time. The system adopts a simple, empirical linear model to estimate the full spectral reflectance at each pixel. Since the model is linear, the reconstruction is efficient and stable. We estimated the spectral reflectance of various scenes using the system and showed the effectiveness of the proposed system.

  • A reactor vibration monitoring has been performed using neutron noise obtained from excore detectors for the safety operation, Traditionally, the spectral estimator based on Fourier analysis has been widely used in the noise analysis of the reactor system. If the bias is too severe, the resolution would not be adequate for a given application. One major motivation for the current interests in the parametric approach to spectral estimation is the apparent higher resolution achievable with these modern techniques. In considering an unbias, a consistency, an efficency, and a minimum lower bound of the statictic estimation, an AR model is appropriate for noise spectral estimation with sharp peaks but not deep valley. In order to select an appropriate model order, the lag value of autocorrleaton function is applied. Burg method to trace the vibration mode of RPV internal is the most sucuessful.

  • Hyperspectral remote sensing data contain plenty of information about objects, which makes object classification more precise. In this paper, we proposed a new spectral similarity measure, called Spectral Mutual Information (SMI) for hyperspectral image classification problem. It is derived from the concept of mutual information arising in information theory and can be used to measure the statistical dependency between spectra. SMI views each pixel spectrum as a random variable and classifies image by measuring the similarity between two spectra form analogy mutual information. The proposed SMI was tested to evaluate its effectiveness. The evaluation was done by comparing the results of preexisting classification method (SAM, SSV). The evaluation results showed the proposed approach has a good potential in the classification of hyperspectral images.

  • 최근 비효율 적인 주파수 사용을 극복하기 위한 인지 접속 시스템 및 인지 접속 시스템 구현을 위한 스펙트럼 센싱 기술연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다수의 이차 사용자가 협력하여 우선 사용자를 감지하는 협력 스펙트럼 센싱기술에서 m-bit 결합을 사용하는 시스템의 성능을 닫힌 형태로 분석한다. 또한 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통하여 시스템 성능 분석의 유효성을 확인하도록 하며, bit 수에 따른 성능 변화를 확인한다.

Spectral Efficiency Evaluation of Coordinated Multi-point Systems Based on System Level Simulations (멀티 포인트 시스템에서 시스템 레벨 시뮬레이션에 기반을 둔 스펙트럼 효율성 검증)

  • In this paper, so as to improve spectral efficiency for cell-boundary users, we introduce a coordinated multi-point (CoMP) system, which is one of inter-cell cooperative transmission strategies studied in 3GPP long-term evolution-advanced (LTE-A) systems, and develop a system-level simulator to evaluate performance. To identify performance improvement of the system with inter-cell cooperative transmission, we select a 3GPP LTE system as a reference, which shows the highest performance among the existing mobile communication systems, and conduct a performance comparison. System-level simulation is performed based on widely-used OPNET tool. We implement modules including central unit (CU), CoMP eNodeB (CeNB), user equipment (UE), and multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel model, while designing the inter-cell cooperative transmission system. Under WINNER wireless channel model and international telecommunication union (ITU) network model environments, we then evaluate the performance of edge users who belong to the lower 5% in terms of spectral efficiency. It is finally shown that throughput of the proposed CoMP system gets improved up to 2.5 times compared to that of the 3GPP LTE reference system.

  • Spectrum sensing is a critical functionality of Cognitive Radio(CR) systems and the CR systems can be applied to RF energy harvesting systems to improve an energy harvesting rate. There are number of spectrum sensing techniques. One of techniques is energy detection. Energy detection is the simplest detection method and is the most commonly used. But, energy detection has a hidden terminal problem in real wireless communication, because of secondary user (SU) can be affected by frequency fading and shadowing. Cooperative spectrum sensing can solve this problem using spatial diversity of SUs. But it has a problem of increasing data by processing multiple secondary. So, we propose the system model using adaptive spectrum sensing algorithm and system model is simulated. This algorithm chooses sensing method between single energy sensing and cooperative energy according to the received signal's Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) from Primary User (PU). The simulation result shows that adaptive spectrum sensing has an efficiency and improvement in CR systems.

  • 유체-구조물 상호작용 효과를 고려하여, 실린더형 수중 구조물의 유한요소 모델을 상용 전산코드를 사용하여 작성하고 동적하중에 대한 응답해석을 수행하였다. 구조 유한요소에 부착되는 유체 유한요소로 인하여 발생하는 요소행렬의 비대칭성으로 인하여, 일반적으로 사용되는 유한요소 해석 전산코드로 유체-구조물 상호작용 모델에 대한 응답스펙트럼해석을 수행하는 것은 불가능하다. 이 문제의 해결을 위하여, 등가 비 유체-구조물 상호작용 모델을 구성하고, 등가비 유체-구조물 상호작용 모델에 대한 응답스펙트럼 해석 및 조화가진 응답해석 결과를 이용하여 유체-구조물 상호작용 모델의 스펙트럼 가진에 대한 동적 응답을 계산할 수 있는 효율적인 방법을 제시하였다.

  • In modem wireless communication it has been regarded as a important problem for the spectrum efficiency to utilize the limited frequency-resource efficiently. In addition, the system architecture has bun designed for low cost, low power consumption and ultra-lightweight. In this paper, we directly modulated the BCPFSK with a superior spectrum efficiency using the DDS and applied the direct conversion to the system architecture. Finally, we designed a transceiver which has the 433 MHz BCPFSK output and evaluated the system performance.

  • Vector autoregressive (VAR) models in high dimension suffer from noisy estimates, unstable predictions and hard interpretation. Consequently, the sparse vector autoregressive (sVAR) model, which forces many small coefficients in VAR to exactly zero, has been suggested and proven effective for the modeling of high dimensional time series data. This paper studies coupling measures to select non-zero coefficients in sVAR. The basic idea based on the simulation study reveals that removing the effect of other variables greatly improves the performance of coupling measures. sVAR model coefficients are asymmetric; therefore, asymmetric coupling measures such as Granger causality improve computational costs. We propose two asymmetric coupling measures, filtered-cross-correlation and filtered-Granger-causality, based on the filtered residuals series. Our proposed coupling measures are proven adequate for heavy-tailed and high order sVAR models in the simulation study.
