The Technique of Scheduling for dynamic data transmission in MOST GATEWAY System (MOST GATEWAY 시스템에서 효율적 데이터 전송을 위한 스케줄링 기법에 관한 연구)

  • In our previous research, we proposed a MOST GATEWAY system for organically connected to the network MOST150 and MOST 25 and a simulation design method for performance analysis of Scheduling Algorithm in MOST GATEWAY system. Therefore in this paper, we use CANoe.MOST simulator in order to analyze the performance and propose a algorithm design method for Performance analysis according to number of queues by applying existing scheduling algorithms. Finally, we present an improvement scheme of the efficiency and scalability.

  • 웹을 사용하는 사용자들의 급속도로 증가하는 서비스 요청을 신속하고 저렴한 비용으로 처리하기 위한 대응책으로, LAN 환경의 웹 서버 클러스터 구조가 각광을 받고 있다. 높은 가용성 및 확장성을 보장하는 웹 서비스를 제공하기 위해 많은 부하의 서비스 요구를 여러 서버에게 효과적으로 나누어 처리할 수 있어야 하며, 따라서 서비스 요청 패킷을 고르게 분배할 수 있는 합리적인 스케줄링 기법을 필요로 한다. ONE-IP 스케줄링 기법은 이더넷의 브로드케스트 메시지에 의해 스케줄링이 분산되도록 하는 전략을 사용함으로써, 클러스터에 유입되는 패킷의 집중화로 인해 발생할 수 있는 병목 현상(bottleneck)과 치명적인 오류(Single-point of Failure) 문제를 효과적으로 해결하였다. 그러나, 서비스를 요청하는 패킷의 발신지 주소만을 이용하는 단순한 패킷 스케줄링을 사용하기 때문에 클러스터를 구성하는 서버들 간의 부하 불균형을 가중시키며, 결과적으로 클러스터의 효율성을 저하시키는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 RR ONE-IP 기법을 제안하였다. 제안한 기법은 서버에 할당되는 부하간에 불균형이 발생하는 문제점을 해결하기 위해 TCP 연결 단위의 스케줄링 전략을 사용하였으며, 서버의 부하 정보를 이용하지 않는 RR 스케줄링 기법을 도입함으로써, ONE-IP 기법의 장점을 그대로 유지하면서 보다 나은 부하의 균등한 분배로 시스템의 처리 능력을 향상시키도록 하였다. 또한, 실험을 수행한 결과 제안한 기법이 기존의 기법에 비해 평균 3.84%의 시스템의 성능 향상을 보였으며, 과부하 발생율에서는 평균 23.5%의 감소를 가져왔음을 보였다.우 단어 인식률이 43.21%인 반면 표제어간 음운변화 현상을 반영한 1-Best 사전의 경우 48.99%, Multi 사전의 경우 50.19%로 인식률이 5~6%정도 향상되었음을 볼 수 있었고, 수작업에 의한 표준발음사전의 단어 인식률 45.90% 보다도 약 3~4% 좋은 성능을 보였다.으로서 hemicellulose구조가 polyuronic acid의 형태인 것으로 사료된다. 추출획분의 구성단당은 여러 곡물연구의 보고와 유사하게 glucose, arabinose, xylose 함량이 대체로 높게 나타났다. 점미가 수가용성분에서 goucose대비 용출함량이 고르게 나타나는 경향을 보였고 흑미는 알칼리가용분에서 glucose가 상당량(0.68%) 포함되고 있음을 보여주었고 arabinose(0.68%), xylose(0.05%)도 다른 종류에 비해서 다량 함유한 것으로 나타났다. 흑미는 총식이섬유 함량이 높고 pectic substances, hemicellulose, uronic acid 함량이 높아서 콜레스테롤 저하 등의 효과가 기대되며 고섬유식품으로서 조리 특성 연구가 필요한 것으로 사료된다.리하였다. 얻어진 소견(所見)은 다음과 같았다. 1. 모년령(母年齡), 임신회수(姙娠回數), 임신기간(姙娠其間), 출산시체중등(出産時體重等)의 제요인(諸要因)은 주산기사망(周産基死亡)에 대(對)하여 통계적(統計的)으로 유의(有意)한 영향을 미치고 있어 $25{\sim}29$세(歲)의 연령군에서, 2번째 임신과 2번째의 출산에서 그리고 만삭의 임신 기간에, 출산시체중(出産時體重) $3.50{\sim}3.99kg$사이의 아이에서 그 주산기사망률(周産基死亡率)

  • The vehicle network such as CAN, MOST, Ethernet has different protocols. In the case of Ethernet data, when data is transmitted from Ethernet to MOST150, it cannot be treated by Ethernet channel of MOST150, leading to data loss and transmission delays. Thus, this thesis proposes vehicle integration GATEWAY, which can form a network by organically connecting the Ethernet and MOST150 networks and minimize the delay and data losses caused by the differences in bandwidth.

Efficient Scheduling of Soft Aperiodic Tasks Using Surplus Slack Time (잉여 여유시간을 이용한 연성 비주기 태스크들의 효율적인 스케줄링)

  • In a real-time system with both hard real-time periodic tasks and soft real-time aperiodic tasks, it is important to guarantee the deadlines of each periodic task as well as obtain fast response time for each aperiodic task. This paper proposes Enhanced Total Bandwidth Server (ETBS) with possibly shorter response time than Total Bandwidth Server (TBS), which is efficient and widely used for servicing aperiodic tasks. For uniprocessor system using Earliest Deadline First (EDF) scheduling algorithm, ETBS assigns an on-line deadline to each aperiodic task considering a surplus slack time which gained for every unit execution time of periodic job. The proposed method can fully utilize the processor while meeting all the deadlines of periodic tasks. We show that the proposed ETBS provides better response time of aperiodic tasks than TBS theoretically, but has the same computational complexity as TBS, O(1). Simulation results show that the response time of aperiodic tasks with ETBS are shorter than one with TBS.

Low-Latency Beacon Scheduling Algorithms for Vehicular Safety Communications (차량간 안전 통신에서 짧은 지연시간을 보장하는 비콘 스케줄링 알고리즘)

  • The safety applications based on the IEEE 802.11p, periodically transmit the safety-related information to all surrounding vehicles with high reliability and a strict timeline. However, due to the high vehicle mobility, dynamic network topology and limited network resource, the fixed beacon scheduling scheme excess delay and packet loss due to the channel contention and network congestion. With this motivation, we propose a novel beacon scheduling algorithm referred to as spatial-aware(SA) beacon scheduling based on the spatial context information, dynamically rescheduling the beaconing rate like a TDMA channel access scheme. The proposed SA beacon scheduling algorithm was evaluated using different highway traffic scenarios with both a realistic channel model and 802.11p model in our simulation. The simulation results showed that the performance of our proposed algorithm was better than the fixed scheduling in terms of throughput, channel access delay, and channel load. Also, our proposed algorithm is satisfy the requirements of vehicular safety application.

The Coexistence Solution using Transmission Schedule and User's Position Information in Cognitive Radio Networks (전송 스케줄 및 사용자 위치 정보를 이용한 무선 인지 네트워크의 동일 주파수 대역 공존 방안)

  • In cognitive radio networks, a secondary user opportunistically accesses an empty channel based on periodic sensing results for avoiding possible interference to the primary users. However, local sensing does not guarantee the full protection of the primary users because hidden primary receivers may exist within the interference range of the secondary transmitter. To protect primary systems and simultaneously to maximize utilization of the secondary users, we need to derive carefully designed coexistence solutions for various network scenarios. In this paper, we propose coexistence conditions without any harmful interference in accordance with the uplink/downlink schedule and user position. We have classified the coexistence conditions into four different scenario cases depending on the provided information to the secondary network basestations. Computer simulation results demonstrated that the proposed method can be applied to the real cognitive radio system to improve the communication probability of CR devices.

A Power-Aware Scheduling Algorithm with Voltage Transition Overhead (전압 변경 오버헤드를 고려한 전력 관리 알고리즘)

  • As portable devices are used widely, power management algorithm is essential to extend battery use time on small-sized battery power. Although many methods have been proposed, they assumed the voltage transition overhead was negligible or was considered partially. However, the voltage transition overhead might not guarantee to schedule real-time tasks in portable multimedia systems. This paper proposes the adaptive power-aware algorithm to minimize the power consumption by considering the voltage transition overhead. It selects only a few discrete frequencies from the whole frequencies of a system and adjusts the interval between two consecutive frequencies based on the system utilization to reduce the number of frequency change. This algorithm saves the power consumption about 10 to 25 percent compared to a CC RT-DVS method and a frequency-smoothing method.

  • In this paper, we Propose an efficient scheduler well suited for the next-generation wireless networks that can support multimedia traffic having various requirements. The scheduler is designed to provide each of multimedia classes with differentiated services. In particular, the scheduler is intended to maximize throughput and minimize packet loss ratio. To apply the scheduler, we suppose that the wireless network is based on TDD/CDMA system The scheduler assigns a packet in a dedicated uplink-slot to the user within a frame to operate scheduling of packets transmitted by the users belonging to the specific class in an efficient manner. Such a manner also enables the scheduler to meet different QoS requirements. The paper also includes performance comparison with other schemes and analysis of the proposed scheduling algorithm by using simulation. We also analyze the proposed scheme by using simulation. The simulation compares the proposed scheduling algerian with previously proposed schemes in terms of the performance.

  • In recent years, the driver needs the convenience of their vehicles and that there is an increasing requirement. Many researches have been mainly focused on MOST Networks to provide quality of multimedia service. The MOST network to support different bandwidth(MOST 25, MOST 50, MOST 150) should consist of a heterogeneous network. So the networks to used different protocols required gateway for receive and transmit information. The method to used gateway has problems occured loss of a packet by a lot of delay. In our previous research, we proposed a MOST GATEWAY system for organically connected to the network MOST150 and MOST 25. Therefore in this paper, we propose a simulation design Method of dynamic gateway system for MOST GATEWAY Performance Analysis in MOST25 and MOST150 Networks.

  • 높은 데이터 전송률과 넓은 전송 대역을 제공할 수 있도록 표준화 된 시스템인 IEEE 802.16d[1]시스템에서는 여러 가지 서비스 클래스들을 이용하여 QoS를 보장해 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다. 그러나, 효율적인 QoS를 제공하기 위해서는 스케줄링에 필요한 factor들을 적절하게 설정해야 하며, 시스템의 환경에 맞도록 변경해야 한다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.16d 시스템을 simulator (NS-2) [2]에 구현하고, IEEE 802.16f [3]에서 표준화한 MIB과 QoS를 고려한 MIB (Q-MAN MIB)을 구현하여 IEEE 802.16d 시스템과 연동하도록 구축한 네트워크 관리 시스템인 Q-MAN을 소개한다. Q-MAN 네트워크 관리 시스템을 통해 IEEE 802.16d 시스템의 QoS 제공 상태에 대한 모니터링이 가능하고, 스케줄링에 필요한 설정 값을 동적으로 변경이 가능하기 때문에 IEEE 802.16d 시스템의 효율을 극대화 시킬 수 있다.
