  • Products companies, which manufactures finished goods with modular parts, will expect that the proper parts should be delivered to assembly line not only just in time (JIT) but also just in sequence (JIS) and also expect that faulty goods will not be produced due to the delivery of wrong parts. In order to satisfy the above requirements, recently Smart Pallet based Parts Delivery system (SPPD) was proposed. SPPD system can overcome the drawback of bar code based part delivery system in which much time for checking proper and in sequence parts is wasted due to labors' working in hand as well as the drawback of RFID based part delivery system in which recognition distance of RFID is very limited. In the paper, a PDA system is proposed and further implemented to maximize the efficiency of SPPD's operation as well as to manage the limited power of smart pallets efficiently.

  • This paper is a study on modeling of an NFC antenna to be inserted into a steel pallet for conveying selected good products through a vision system to a threaded screw from CNC equipment. The CNC equipment used here incorporates the information communication technology (ICT) corresponding to the Internet of Things (IoT), and the smart factory system technology that produces information by exchanging information freely in two directions by connecting the POP corresponding to the service Internet is evolved Equipment. Therefore, it is possible to collect position information on the threaded workpiece by applying NFC antenna designed considering iron pallet used for material management so as to grasp estimated completion time and actual production amount according to production instruction from existing analog type equipment to POP monitoring system And investigated its characteristics.

  • In order to improve the productivity and the yield at assembling line of finished goods' manufacturers, it is necessary that the fabricated parts are supplied to the assembly line not only just in time (JIT) but also just in sequence (JIS). Parts that are not delivered just in time can cause assembly line to be delayed, and parts that are not delivered just in sequence can cause assembly line to be halted or defected products. For JIT and JIS implementation, in the paper we propose the smart pallet based just-in-sequence parts delivery system in which RFID and USN technologies are converged. Compared with the bar-code based just-in-sequence parts delivery system, the proposed system can reduce unnecessary time for confirming parts' type and sequence and unnecessary cost by bar-code labeling and sequence data' documenting. The proposed system also can overcome the drawbacks of the RFID based just-in-sequence parts delivery system such as transmission range limit and difficulties of confirming parts' type and sequence in real time. Finally, we show the implementation of the proposed system, and its practicality.
