  • 20세기 초반과 중반에 걸쳐 전세계를 전쟁의 참화로 몰아 넣었던 1,2차의 세계 대전은 그 역사적 성격규정을 어떻게 논의하든간에 약육강식의 인위적 폐단을 지양하고 무모한 전쟁으로부터 인류를 보호해야 한다는 더 큰 공통의 명제 앞에 누구도 반론없이 순종했다. 하지만 20세기 말까지 적어도 지역적인 분쟁은 있었지만 국가대 국가간의 그리고 여러 국가가 편을 갈라 싸우는 전쟁을 회피하는데 성공했다.

A Study on Wedding Feast Dishes in Gare Dogam Euigwae (1866, 1906) (가례도감의궤(嘉禮都監儀軌)에 나타난 조선왕조궁중가례상(朝鮮王朝宮中嘉禮床)차림고(考) -1866년(年) 고종(高宗) 명성후(明成后), 1906(年) 순종(純宗) 순종비(純奈妃) 가예동뢰연(嘉禮同牢宴)-)

  • To analyze wedding feast dishes of king and royal prince of Chosun Dynasty (1866, 1906), the author studied historic book Gare Dogam Euigwae, in which the wedding feast dishes of King and Prince in Chosun Dynasty were described. The results obtained from the study were as follows, 1. Dish materials used for wedding ceremony in the year of 1866 was same as that of the year 1749. 2. Dish materials used for wedding ceremony in the year of 1906 was quit different that of the year 1749. 3. Dish materials used for main table(연상(宴床)), second table(좌협상(左挾床)), third table(우협상(右挾床)), and fourth table(면협상(面挾床)) was the same as that of from the year 1651 till 1906. 4. Dish materials used for a small round table(초미(初味)), another table(이미(二味)), and the other table(삼미(三味)) was the same as that of from the year 1749 till 1906. 5. A large boiled beef(대선(大膳)) and a small boiled beef(소선(小膳)) were in the year 1819 and 1906.

Culture Collection of Marine Microalgae (해양 미세조류의 배양수집)

  • The cultivation of marine microalgae as a live feed is essential for the seedling production of marine animals. It has some technical problems. Of these, the isolation and maintenance of the pure strains of microalgae from the nature are difficult for general mariculturists and researchers. To meet these problems, it needs to establish the culture collection of the microalgae in order to supply the strains to the demanders. In this research, 80 strains of microalgae were isolated from the coastal water of Korea by the methods of capillary pipette, plating on agar and dillution. A culture collection was established in the Department of Aquaculture, National Fisheries University of Pusan. The 117 strains of the microalgae maintained in the culture collection will be supplied to the demanders without any difficulties.

  • Micro pillar structure was investigated for the energy havesting applications. The micro pillar structures were investigated to find proper size of pillars. In this experiments, the aspect ratio between the height and diameter were changed to extract maximum peizoelectric coefficient. We proposed the idea and model for the energy harvesting systems based on the micro-pillar structure.

  • This paper presents an analytical investigation pertaining to the elastic buckling behavior of pultruded fiber reinforced plastic equal-leg angle members under concentric axial compression. The elastic local and global buckling (flexural, torsional, and flexural-torsional) analyses are conducted, respectively, and the analytical results are compared with the existing experimental results. The differences were more than 10%, and the experimental results were higher than the analytical results.

  • This paper presents the results of an elastic buckling analysis of isosceles trapezoidal orthotropic plate. In this study, all edges of plate are assumed to be simply supported and the difference of the applied loads are assumed to be taken out by shear of constant intensity along the sloping sides. For the buckling analysis, collocation method is employed. Finite element analysis is also conducted and the results are compared with theoretical ones.

  • The problem considered is the buckling of a rectangular orthotropic plate, tapered in thickness in a direction parallel to two sides and compressed in that direction. Curves are presented showing the variation of buckling stress coefficient with the special loads. The type of thickness variation is exponential. While this paper is presented how to design for an efficient orthotropic plate taper from physical consideration.

  • This paper presents the analytical investigation pertaining to the local buckling behavior of orthotropic channel section compression members stiffened with unsymmetric stiffeners at its free edges. In the analysis, tile edge stiffener is modeled as a beam element or a plate element. The result of both cases is presented in graphical form so that the effects of edge stiffeners on the local buckling strength of edge stiffened channel section member can be found.
