Vibration Control of Working Booms on Articulated Bridge Inspection Robots (교량검사 굴절로봇 작업붐의 진동제어)

  • A robot crane truck is developed by the Bridge Inspection Robot Development Interface(BRIDI) for an automated and/or teleoperated bridge inspection. This crane truck looks similar to the conventional bucket crane, but is much smaller in size and light-weight. At the end of the telescoping boom which is 12m long, a robot platform is mounted which allows the operator to scan the bridge structure under the deck trough the camera. Boom vibration induced by wind and deck movement can cause serious problems in this scanning system. This paper presents a control system to mitigate such vibration of the robot boom. In the proposed control system, an actuator is installed at the end of the working boom. This control system is studied using a mathematical model analysis with LQ control algorithm and a scaled model test in the laboratory. The study indicates that the proposed system is efficient for the vibration control of the robot booms, thereby demonstrating its immediate applicability in the field.

Numerical Study About Flow Control Using Blending Gurney Flap with Jet Flap (Gurney플랩과 제트 플랩을 혼용한 유동제어 기법에 관한 수치적 연구)

  • The flow control effect of blending Gurney flap with jet flap for flow around an NACA 0012 airfoil was numerically investigated through parameter variation of each flow control mechanism on unstructured meshes. The aerodynamic force and moment variations due to flow control were examined, and the results were compared between the blending control and each individual flow control. The results showed that the blending control required less energy input to achieve the same level of lift increment than that of the jet flap, and at the same time alleviated drag increment caused by introducing the Gurney flap.

A Study on the Control of Solitary Waves by Resonator (공진장치에 의한 고립파의 제어에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, 3-dimensional hydraulic model experiment and 3-dimensional numerical analysis were carried out to review the control performance on the solitary waves by attaching the resonator suggested in this study to the openings of the existing rectangular harbors and breakwaters placed in a straight line. In the numerical analysis, TWOPM-3D of 3-D one-field Model for immiscible TWO-Phase flows method using 3-dimensional numerical wave tank was applied, and the validity of the numerical analysis method was verified through comparative analysis between hydraulic experimental results and numerical analysis results. In addition, the effectiveness of the resonator was identified as a result of review on the control performance to control solitary waves of the resonance devices through comparison with cases where the resonators are attached or not.

가전제품의 제조와 관련된 열공학 문제

  • 가전제품의 제조와 관련된 열공학문제를 몇가지 예를 들어 검토하여 보았다. 제품은 강도가 커야 하고 설계공차 내에 들어야 하는 등의 조건을 만족함과 아울러, 그의 생산공정은 가급적으로 쉬워야 하고 재료를 절감할 수 있어야 한다. 제조공정 중의 열공학적인 과정이 제품 구조내의 열응력분포를 결정지우므로 열전달과정의 세심한 제어가 필요하다. 근래에 들어 컴퓨터의 발달로 열전달과정의 수치해석이 제조장비의 설계와 제조과정의 최적제어의 보조수단으로 등장하고 있다. 실제의 문제에서는 대부분 삼차원형상을 가지고 있고, 시스템을 고려하여야 하므로 여러 가지 현상이 연계되어 있다. 그러므로 수치계산에는 여전히 종래의 실험기법에 의한 실험식들과 여러 가지 축적된 경험의 도움을 필요로 한다. 이러한 측면에서 볼 때, 종래의 실험식, 경험식, 물성치, 기존의 수치해석의 결과 등을 컴퓨터에 데이터베이스(data base)화하여 소위 전문가 시 스템(expert system)을 구축하는 편이 단순히 공정의 극히 일부분 현상들을 수치해석하는 작업 보다 선행되어야 함이 바람직할 수 있다. 또한, 가전제품의 제조에는 열공학 또는 열전달현상에만 따로 주의를 기울이지 말고, 재질의 선택, 그의 유변학(rheology), 구조내의 균열문제 등을 연계 하여 고려하여야 한다.

  • Recently, the thrust vector control using a secondary flow injection which is accomplished by injecting a secondary flow into the supersonic exhaust flow through hole in the wall of the propulsion nozzle has been attention in the applications of the rocket propulsion system. In the present study, 3-dimensional compressible, Navier-Stokes equation to understand the SITVC(Secondary Injection Thrust Vector Control) flow field. The computational results are validated with previous experimental data available. The computational results are visualized detailed structure of shock wave induced by secondary flow and deflected supersonic jets.

Pressure Control Law of Gas Generator Considering Combustion Volume Change (연소공간 변화를 보상하는 가스발생기 압력 제어기법)

  • A pressure control law to regulate pressure of gas generator is suggested. To design a model based control law, the governing equation which consists of Robert and conservation equation is built and verified through the ground burning test. PID and nonlinear adaptive control laws are designed to analyze the loop response characteristics under the system which has varying eigen properties arisen from combustion volume change. It is suggested that new approach, gain scheduling design, is required to overcome the defects identified from numerical simulation results of the two control laws. The newly suggested scheme shows good control performance even under disturbances and measurement noise.

  • The object of this study is to develope a program with proposed numerical techniques for an optimal seismic control of structures using active tendon systems. Ricatti closed-loop algorithm has been applied to control the active tendon systems with time-delay problem. The optimal control is formulated as an optimization problem which is finding optimal weighting matrices by minimizing the quadratic performance index by SUMT. In order to find the optimal location of active tendons in structures, controllability index has been introduced. From numerical examples, the current optimal control technique with optimal location of tendons was suitable to control the seismic response of structures.

  • 본 논문에서는 풍하중을 받는 구조물의 응답을 보다 적극적으로 저감시킴으로써 구조물의 안정성과 사용성을 개선하기위한 능동제어 알고리즘을 송도 자유무역 지구에 건설중인 포스코건설 사옥에 수치해석을 통해 적용하여 그 효과를 검증하였다. 수치해석에 의한 시뮬레이션 결과를 보면 최대 제어력이 제한이 된 비선형 제어기가 LQR 제어기와 등등한 제어효과를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 제어력의 측면에서 본다면 비선형 제어기법이 더욱 유리한 것을 알 수 있다. 또한, 본 연구에서는 구조물과 질량형 제진장치의 상호작용을 고려하여 통합적으로 제진효과를 해석하고, 이를 바탕으로 제진장치를 설계할 수 있는 소프트웨어를 개발하였다. 구조물의 모드정보에 기초한 축소모델을 구축하고 제진장치의 설계 및 제진성능 평가를 수행하고 사용성을 평가하게 된다. 전체 소프트웨어는 질량형 제진장치의 설계프로그램과 질량형 제진장치의 종류별 대안설계결과를 등가감쇠비로 표현하여 비교평가하는 두 개의 모듈로 이루어져 있으며 전자는 비제어구조물 해석 모듈 및 TMD, TLD, TLCD, AMD를 대상으로 해석 및 설계를 수행하는 총 5개의 하부 모듈로 구성된다. 본 소프트웨어를 현재 TLCD가 설치되어 있는 인천 송도 국제업무지구의 주상복합건물에 적용하여 TMD, TLD, TLCD, AMD의 대안설계를 실시하였다.
