  • This paper presented a linear motion accuracy by using two-dimensional probe with the master block and the square for NC machine tools. This measuring system could be measured motion error due to numerical control system. The results of measurement and simulation for motion error were similar, and so, this system had enough accuracy to measure a linear motion accuracy for NC machine tools. The experimental results are as follows. 1. This measuring system could be measured motion error due to mumerical control system. 2. The results of measurement and simulation for motion error were similar. 3. This measuring system had enough accuracy to measure a linear motion accuracy for NC machine tools.

  • 절삭가공을 주제로 하는 생산 시스템에서는 생산의 원활화, 가공능률의 향상, 원가의 저감을 목적으로 지속적인 연구가 수행되어오고 있다. 기계공업의 발전에 따라 많은 분야에서 자동화를 이룩할 정도로 기술이 진보되고 정밀가공이 행하여지는데 따라서 정밀도의 향상, 가공표면의 양질화를 위한 절삭조건의 개선이 요구되고 있는 한편, 특히 이러한 내용을 만족시키기 위해 근래에는 수치제어 또는 전용 공작기계가 채용되면서 CIM 시스템이 구축되고, 나아가 생산시스템의 우인화, FA 시스템화를 이룩하기 위한 목표로 기계가공의 전 분야가 급속하게 발전하고 있다.

  • In this article, recent trends of technology in design of CNC system for machine tools which has increased in number and applications by needs for FA(Factory Automation), save of labor in various industries, are described. These technology improvements in CNC system take place especially in the field of performance, reliability, compactness, price, etc. From these technology improvements, the theme of "performance improvements of CNC system" are selected and mostly described in this article. Also, the major features of a CNC system product of our company and its characteristics in system design are briefly described.described.

  • This paper introduces a friction compensation fuzzy logic controller, which utilizes a rule-based approach. The paper explains the algorithm of the proposed controller and compares it with a conventional PID controller in simulations and experiments. For the experiments, the two control algorithms were implemented on a 3-axis milling machine in contour milling. These simulation and experimental analyses show that the proposed fuzzy logic controller has superior performance over conventional PID controllers In terms of part contour accuracy.

  • A recursive parameter estimation scheme utilizing the variance perturbation method is applied to the workpiece deflection model during CNC turning process, in order to improve the cylindricity of slender workpiece. It features that it is based on exponentially weighted recursive least squares method with post-process measurement of finish surfaces at two locations and it does not require a priori knowledge on the time varying deflection model parameter. The measurements of finish surfaces by using two proximity sensors mounted face to face enable one to identify the straightness, guide-way, run-out eccentricity errors. Preliminary cutting tests show that the straightness error of the finish surface due to workpiece deflection during cutting is most dominant. Identifying the errors and recursive updating the parameter, the off-line control is carried out to compensate the workpiece deflection error, through single pass cutting. Experimental results show that the proposed method is superior to the conventional multi-pass cutting and the direct compensation control in cutting accuracy and efficiency.

  • 생산이나 제작공정에서 작업자를 필요로 하지 않는 자동화에 대한 관심은 주로 인플레이션 (Inflation), 피고용자에 대한 국가의 가종규제및 급속한 임금의 상승과 같은 경제적인 측면에 서의 입력으로부터 시작되었으며 이때는 주로 전기-기계(Electromechanical) 리레이를 사용한 기계적인 조작, 제품의 이송, 조립 및 조절등을 자동화는 정도에 지나지 않았다. 이후-간단한 공정뿐만 아니라 복잡한 공정에서의 자동화의 필요성과 각종산업분야에 있어서의 자동화의 경 향으로 요동화자체가 복잡성을 띰에 따라 자동화 자체에 대한 효과적인 운영과 적절한 통제방 법의 출현을 필요로 하게 되었다. 예로서 각종 수치제어공작기계의 출현과 사용으로 이들을 적 절한 방법으로 관할하고 조정하기 위해서 자동화에 대한 컴퓨터의 응용문제가 일기 시작했다. 또한 급속한 컴퓨터 산업과 기술의 발달과 플랙시블 소프트웨어(Flexible Software)의 개발이 컴퓨터의 자동화 응용에 큰 역할을 하게 되었다. 특히 우주, 항공산업과 기술의 발달과정에서 컴퓨터를 산업분야에 응용함으로서 이를 바탕으로 늘래 수년간 컴퓨터의 자동화 응용에 관한 분야의 연구가 활발히 진행되었다. 더욱이 요즘과 같이 에너지 부족시대에 있어서 자칫하면 에 너지의 한비를 수반할 수도 있는 자동화를 효과적으로 통제할 수 있는 능력을 갖춘 컴퓨터 사 용을 필요로 하고 있다.

  • In this paper, a new adaptive cross-coupling control (CCC) algorithm with an improved contour error model is proposed to maintain contouring precision in high-speed nonlinear contour machining. The proposed method utilizes variable controller gains based on the instantaneous curvature of a contour and the feedrate command. The proposed method is evaluated and compared with the conventional CCC for nonlinear contouring motion through computer simulations. The simulation results show that the proposed CCC improves the contouring accuracy more effectively than the existing method.

  • The high efficient and cooling system is very important to the control panels of electrical distributors, and Industrial automated system including computer. Also, it can be used widely in various industrial systems such as industrial robots, numerically controlled machining center, and so on. The cooling method which flowing gasses were forced to circulate by compulsion was adapted in this study. then development of counter flow type of cooling system for effective panel cooling. In the present study, fin assembly was developed for this cooling system. As results, the developed system has the improvements of cooling performances and radiant heat ratio. Its increasing of airflow mass is about 20%, and radiation rate of heating is twice or more as high as the conventional system.

  • Chemical and mechanical properties of workpieces and tools are important factors for selecting machining parameters in machining process planning. As there is no universal rule representing the machinability defined by metal removal rate, the selection of machining parameters still requires experience-oriented methods. In this paper, a new approach is presented to develop mathematical models for generating optimum machinability in turning processes based on chemical and mechanical properties of workpieces. Neural-Network methodology is introduced to identify mathematical models for machinability. It is confirmed by simulations that the proposed methodology can be used for developing numerical controllers with adaptive control performance.

  • The paper introduces the system AUTO-CUT for the automatic generation of NC tapes for wire-cut EDM(Electrodischarge Machining) parts. The information input to the system is the description of the part geometries, the tool motions and the cutting conditions etc. The system generates CLDATA and machine control data. Also dynamic simulation of tool motions can be performed on the screen.
