In this study, the effects of blast furnance slag cement and frost-resistant accelerator on shrinkage properties and shrinkage properties of mortar were examined. As a result, the addition of the frost-resistant accelerator to both OPC and BB has a small effect on the flash properties of mortar and the compressive strength increases from the early ages. In addition, when a frost-resistant accelerator is used in excess of the standard usage amount, it is necessary to examine the relationship of the expansion behavior at the early age, especially, between the compressive strength development and the expansion property. And it was confirmed that the addition of the frost-resistant accelerator tended to increase the shrinkage of mortar using the OPC and BB. With the addition of the frost-resistant accelerator, the amount of pores with a diameter of under the 30nm, especially, the amount of pores with a diameter of 20 to 30nm and the amount of pores with an ink-bottle decrease, and the shrinkage increases. And it is considered that a change in the amount this range of pores has a large effect on the shrinkage property.

In this study, recently it is urgently required that demolition waste concrete has to be recycled on the construction because urban development is accelerated and redevelopment project is rapidly expanded, production quantity of construction and demolition waste concrete is being increased. As a results of drying shrinkage test under restrained and unrestrained condition, although workability and mechanical properites of concrete using HQRS were similar to that of concrete using natural sand, there were a great difference in deformation characteristic of dry shrinkage according to replacement ratio of HQRS. And, it makes sure that use of HQRS instead of partial nature sand was effective because drying shrinkage of concrete using 30 volume percentage of HQRS was smaller than that using only natural sand. Therefore, it is the objective of this study to provide the fundamental data about the re-application as an analysis of the drying shrinkage characteristics of concrete using HQRS and it is able to creta a high value-added by using HQRS.
In this study, fundamental properties such as fresh and hardened performance of concrete mix(specification : 25-24-18) added fluorine-silicate hybrid based crack reducing agent(FS) were measured. Addition of FS ranged from 0.5% to 2.0% at intervals 0.5% based on cement weight. Adequate dosage(0.5%) of FS derived from basic properties measurements applied and compared resistance for shrinkage crack. The permeability of concrete in the absence(24-S-0.0) and presence(24-S-0.5) of evaluated at a mock-up sized concrete. Concrete added FS improved resistance for shrinkage crack and consequently crack number, length and area decreased to $50{\sim}74.4%$ compared non-added. As well, by the addition of FS, the resistance for permeability and penetration depth to concrete surface region increased 67% and 40%, respectively. Therefore it was confirmed that shrinkage crack resistance and permeability of concrete could be improved by the addition of FS.

In this study, quantitative analysis on effect of hydration heat and autogenous shrinkage of concrete using BFS was studied. Especially, it analyze section data statistically which hydration heat and autogenous shrinkage rise, and it appeared the correlation of hydration heat and autogenous shrinkage as well as quantitative coefficients of the main properties. As a result, the section which hydration heat and autogenous shrinkage of BFS-50 rise rapidly is delayed than OPC, but the slope of hydration heat and autogenous shrinkage in that section appeared similar shape in each mixing. Finally it will be possible to control the amount of autogenous shrinkage because hydration heating velocity and autogenous shrinking velocity are decreased by using BFS.
In the past decades there has been a growth of interest in the use of stellate ganglion block (SGB) as part of the diagnosis and therapy for the disease of the head, neck and upper extremities. For the evaluation of changes in hemodynamics and temperature of the affected extremity after the SGB, unilateral SGB (either right or left) was performed by local injection of 10 ml of 1% lidocaine without epinephrine in 45 patients (right side SGB: 25, left side SGB: 20) with various diseases. Systolic and diastolic blood pressure, pulse rate and skin temperature of the ipsilateral hand were studied before and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 minutes after the block. The results were as follows: 1) Changes of blood pressure: Systolic and distolic blood pressure after either right or left side SGB showed no statistically significant change. 2) Changes of pulse rate: While the left side SGB showed a mild decrease without statistical significance, the right side SGB showed a statistically significant decrease at 30 and 60 minutes after the block (p<0.05). 3) Changes of skin temperature of the blocked hand: Either side SGB produced a gradual increase in temperature with time and showed statistical significance from 10 minutes in the left side block (p<0.01), and a from 10 minutes after the block in the right side (p<0.01). Both sides SGB showed a maximal increase at 30 minutes after the block and a small decrease at 60 minutes after the block compared to the 30 minutes value. 4) Despite the successful SGB. 4 of 45 patients failed to produce a significant increase in skin temperature on the affected upper extremity. In conclusion, unilateral SGB with 1% lidocaine at the 6th cervical vertebral level is a safe method for use on an outpatient basis, and an increase in skin temperature in the affected upper extremity is necessary to confirm the successful therapeutic effect on disease of the upper extremity.
The aim of this study was to investigate the fundamental properties of pyroclastic flow deposit (PFD), and evaluate the fresh and strength properties of concrete mixed with PFD by indoor tests. The fresh properties, strength properties, shrinkage properties, and durability of the concrete mixed with PFD were also evaluated by outdoor plant tests. the harmful alkali-silica reaction did not occur by mixing concrete with PFD. ages. Moreover, no difficulty was found to be associated with concrete manufacture in the plant because no change in air contents and noticeable slump loss occurred by mixing concrete with PFD. The strength properties, shrinkage properties, and durability of the concrete mixed with PFD were also compared with those of normal concrete. With a suitable temperature control and curing method of concrete, the concrete mixed with PFD is considered to be useful in the construction material field.
We had undertaken a stellate ganglion block everyday for the treatment of a classic migraine patient who is a twenty seven a year old male. He had experienced a very severe and frequent attack two or three times a month for several years. after ten times of stellate ganglion block, a headache attack occurred mildly. Seventeen times of stellate ganglion block were undertaken totally. Now he feels better. The intensity and the frequency of headache attack are markedly decreased. The pathophysiology and theraphy of classic migraine are unclear. The mechanism of stellate ganglion block for classic migraine treatment is also unknown. However, we think the stellate ganglion block contributes the improvement of hypothalamic blood flow, the recovery of homeostasis, and the weakening of sympathetic overactivity.

In a range of forms, such as latex, water-soluble polymer, liquid resin, and monomer, polymer dispersions have been widely used in the construction industry as cement modifiers because of their excellent properties, such as acid-resistance, water-proofness, and good ductility in mortar and concrete. Polymer cement slurry (polymer-modified slurry) is made of cement and polymer dispersions, with a high polymer-cement ratio of 50% or more. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the water permeability and drying shrinkage of polymer cement mortar (polymer-modified mortar) and cement concrete coated by polymer cement slurry. The polymer cement mortar and cement concrete are prepared with various polymer types, polymer-cement ratios and curing methods, and are tested for water permeability, drying shrinkage and strength. The test results showed thatthe weight of permeable water of polymer cement mortar decreases with an increase in the polymer-cement ratio, reaching a minimum at the polymer-cement ratio of 20%. In particular, the weight of permeable water of St/BA-modified mortar with a polymer-cement ratio of 20% coated with St/BA-modified slurry is about 1/55 that of unmodified mortar. The EVA- and St/BA-modified slurries coated on cement concrete have about 4 or 5 times higher drying shrinkage compared to cement concrete. The strength of polymer cement mortars tends to increase with a higher polymer-cement ratio, and is considerably higher than that of unmodified mortar. It is thus concluded that polymer cement mortars coated by polymer cement slurry are effective for industrial application, and have superior properties such as waterproofness and strengths, compared with conventional cement mortar.

It is very important to experimentally evaluate concrete behavior at elevated temperature because aggregates make up approximately 80 percent of volume in concrete. In this study, an experiment to evaluate mechanical properties of normal weight and light weight concrete of 60 MPa was conducted. Based on loading level of 0, 20 and 40 percent, the tests of 28 days compressive strength, elastic modulus, thermal strain, total strain, and transient creep using ${\phi}100{\times}200mm$ cylindrical specimens at elevated temperature were performed. Then, the results were compared with CEB (Committes Euro-international du Beton) model code. The results showed that thermal strain of light weight concrete was smaller than normal weight concrete. Also, the results showed that compressive strength of light concrete at $700^{\circ}C$ was higher than normal weight concrete and CEB code, similar to that obtained at ambient temperature. Transient creep developed from loading at a critical temperature of $500^{\circ}C$ caused the concrete strains to change from expansion to compression. The transient creep test result showed that internal force was high when the ratio of shrinkage between concrete and aggregate was more influential than thermal expansion.
