Spreading sequence play an important role in wireless communications, such as in a CDMA(code division multiple access) communication system and multi-carrier spectrum communication system. Spreading sequences with low cross-correlation, in a direct-sequence spread spectrum communication system, help to minimize multiple access interference and to increase security degree of system. Analysis of cross-correlations between the sequences is a necessary process to design sequences. However it require lots of computing time for analysis of cross-correlations between sequences. In this paper we propose a method which is possible to compute effectively cross-correlation using subfield in the process of practical computation of cross-correlation between nonlinear binary sequences.

We investigate optimal and suboptimal decision rules for parallel code acquisition in chip asynchronous direct-sequence spread-spectrum systems. The conventional decision rule for parallel acquisition is to choose the largest correlator output of a receiver. However, such a scheme is optimum only for chip synchronous models. In this paper, an optimal decision rule is derived based on the maximum-likehood criterion for chip asynchronous models. A simpler suboptimal decision rule is also discussed. The performance of the optimum and suboptimum decision rules is compared to that of the conventional decision rule. Numerical results show that, for chip asynchronous models, both the optimal and suboptimal decision rules outperform the conventional decision rule.

In this paper, using the binary (N,M,L,1) low correlation zone(LCZ) sequence set with specific property, we propose the construction method of a quaternary LCZ sequence set with parameters (2N,2M,L,2). The binary LCZ sequence using this method must have period $N{\equiv}3$ mod 4, balance property, and specific correlation property. The proposed method is modified from the construction method of binary LCZ sequence set by using binary LCZ sequence with specific condition proposed by Kim, Jang, No, and Chung[4].

Spreading sequence is used for spreading spectrum in CDMA. For the purpose of minimizing multiple access interference and expanding linear span of the sequences, it is desirable to use such sequences with low correlation and high linear span. To obtain large family size and high linear span, the values of the correlation function of the sequences is more complex. In this paper, we propose the extended Zeng sequences with large family size and high linear span and analyze the correlation of the sequences.

This paper designed a smartphone application with sequence problems which users can improve their learning ability and this application is implemented as serious game which is designed for the special purposes of education with entertainment and game-like fun at anytime and anywhere during the spare time. Also to prove learning effects through sequence of number application under ubiquitous environment which is popular these days, the proposed serious game which has various types of sequence questions is implemented based on the iphone and android environments. User characteristics and learning effects which are based on game record of proposed application are analyzed according to socio-demographic characteristics.

The frequency-hopping sequence is a type of user-specific code that has been used in various ways in military communication, Bluetooth, and ultra-wideband communications. In a practical communication environment, a frequency-hopping sequence with an alphabet and a length suitable for the number of available frequencies and transmission period is required. Therefore, the design of the frequency-hopping sequence having various parameters is a very important problem in frequency-hopping spread-spectrum communication. To this end, this paper explores a method of synthesizing a sequence of a new length through the synthesis of existing frequency-hopping sequences. As a result, it is possible to present the possibility of frequency-hopping sequences applicable to various environments of communications.

구연산이 첨가된 0.01 M의 $\beta$-인산칼슘 용액을 수열처리 하여 휘스커 상 수산화아파타이트를 합성할 때 수열처리 온도 및 시간이 휘스커의 생성에 미치는 영향을 관찰하였다. 용액을 30$0^{\circ}C$에서 5시간 수열처리 할 때 c축으로 약 60-80$\mu\textrm{m}$까지 성장하고 비교적 순수한 휘스커를 얻을 수 있었으며 이렇게 합성된 수산화아파타이트 휘스커를 수산화아파타이트 시멘트에 1-2 wt% 첨가하였을 때 그 경화체의 직경인장강도는 약 4-6배까지 증가하였다.

The design of PN(Pseudo Noise) sequences with good cross-correlation properties is important for many research areas in communication systems. In this paper we propose new family of binary sequences $S^r=\{Tr_1^m\{[Tr_m^n(a{\alpha}^t+{\alpha}^{dt})]^r\}{\mid}a{\in}GF(2^n),\;0{\leq}t<2^n-1\}$ composed of Gold-like sequences and find the value of cross-correlation function when $d=2^{n-1}(3{\cdot}2^m-1)$, where n=2k, gcd(r, $2^m-1$)=1. Also we analyze the linear span of $S^r$ for some special r. Proposed sequences are extension of Gold-like sequences and GMW-sequences.

In this paper, we have designed a teaching unit for the learning mathematising of secondary pre-service teachers by exploring generalized fibonacci sequences. First, we have found useful formulas for general terms of generalized fibonacci sequences which are expressed as combinatoric notations. Second, by using these formulas and CAS graphing calculator, we can help secondary pre-service teachers to conjecture and discuss the limit of the sequence given by the rations of two adjacent terms of an m-step fibonacci sequence. These processes can remind secondary pre-service teachers of a series of some mathematical principles.

In this paper we investigate several properties and characteristics of the generalized Fibonacci sequence $\{g_n\}$={a, b, a+b, a+2b, 2a+3b, 3a+5b,...}. This concept is a generalization of the famous Fibonacci sequence. In particular we find the identities of sums and the nth term $g_n$ in detail. Also we find the generalizations of the Catalan's identity and A. Tagiuri's identity about the Fibonacci sequence, and investigate the relation between $g_n$ and Pascal's triangle, and how fast $g_n$ increases. Furthermore, we show that $g_n$ and $g_{n+1}$ are relatively prime if a b are relatively prime, and that the sequence $\{\frac{g_{n+1}}{g_n}\}$ of the ratios of consecutive terms converges to the golden ratio $\frac{1+\sqrt5}2$.
