Effect of Die Geometry on Expansion of Corn Flour Extrudate (사출구 구조에 따른 옥수수가루 압출성형물의 팽화특성)

  • The objective of this study was to determine the effect of die geometry on expansion index of extruded corn flour. Water solubility index, water absorption index and specific mechanical energy (SME) input were analyzed to observe the relationship with die geometry. The feed moisture content was 20 and 25%. Die dimensions were tapered angle (57, 95o) and length/diameter (L/D) ratio of die land (0.67, 1.67 and 2.67). The SME input was the highest at 20% moisture content and 2.23E-10 m3 die constant. The sectional and volumetric expansion indices at 20% moisture were increased with increase in die constant. However, die constant did not influence sectional expansion index of corn flour extrudate at 25% moisture content. The extruded corn flour at 25% moisture content had higher longitudinal expansion index than those of extruded corn flour at 20% moisture content. Sectional expansion and longitudinal expansion index were negatively correlated. The water absorption index and water solubility index were not affected with the die constant.

Germinability and Physiological Properties of Maize Seeds Affected by Matriconditioning (Matriconditioning에 의한 옥수수 종자 활력증진과 생리적 특성변화)

  • To observe the effects of seed matriconditioning on the emergence, plumule growth, and seed physiological properties of normal and aged seeds of three corn(Zea mays L.) genotypes (dent, sugary, and shrunken-2), normal and artificially aged seeds were matriconditioned at 50, 75, 100, and 125% moisture contents of vermiculite at $25^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours and the germinability was examined at $25^{\circ}C$ and in cold test (7 days at 1$0^{\circ}C$followed by $25^{\circ}C$). Emergence rate, emergence speed, and plumule growth were smaller in the order of dent>sugary>shrunken-2. Matriconditioning did not affect the emergence rate of normal dent and sugary seeds, while it enhanced emergence speed and plumule growth. In contrast, the emergence rate, emergence speed, and plumule growth of normal shrunken-2 and aged seeds of all genotypes were enhanced as the moisture content of vermiculite increased up to 125% both at $25^{\circ}C$ and in cold test. Matriconditioning promoted $\alpha$-amylase activity and DNA and soluble protein contents, while it reduced the leakage of total sugars and electrolytes from the seeds when soaked in water.

Quality Characteristics of Topokki Garaedduk with Different Moisture Ratios (가수량을 달리한 떡볶이용 가래떡의 품질특성)

  • The objective of this study was to evaluate the qualities of $Topokki$ $Garaedduk$ by different moisture ratios (rice flour : water=1:0.3, 1:0.4, 1:0.5). $Topokki$ $Garaedduk$ was investigated in terms of its moisture, texture, and sensory properties. The moisture content of $Topokki$ $Garaedduk$ was increased. The hardness, chewiness, and cohesiveness of $Topokki$ $Garaedduk$ significantly decreased with increased moisture ratios, however springiness and adhesiveness were not significantly changed. Water absorption of $Topokki$ $Garaedduk$ was increased and solid content showed no significant differences with increasing moisture ratio. A sensory evaluation showed that the moistness of $Topokki$ $Garaedduk$ increased, while hardness, and springiness decreased with increasing moisture ratios. The overall acceptability of $Topokki$ $Garaedduk$ at the 1:0.4 ratio of rice flour : water scored highest at 6.92 among the samples (p<0.05). The correlation coefficient between sensory moistness and moisture content was significantly increased ($R^2$=0.91). As a result of this study, $Topokki$ $Garaedduk$ with an additional 40% moisture content (rice flour : water=1:0.4) had the most suitable quality properties.

  • In this study we derived steady-state relationships between surface saturation area and subsurface outflow, and between surface saturation area and soil moisture storage through numerical experiments with Richards equation on a hillslope. Numerical experiments analyzed the sensitivity of topographic and soil hydraulic properties on steady-state relationships between surface saturation area and subsurface outflow. And the power law for the extent of surface saturation area was determined as a function of subsurface outflow or soil moisture storage.

  • 본 연구에서는 RHESSys (Regional Hydro-Ecologic Simulation System) 모형을 이용하여 산림 유역의 생태수문학적 거동을 평가하고자 한다. 설마천 유역($8.48\;km^2$)을 대상으로 2007~2009년의 관측 일유출량을 이용하여 유출량을 검 보정하였고, 증발산량 및 토양수분은 신뢰할 만한 실측자료를 바탕으로 모형의 보정(2007-2008)및 검증(2009)을 실시하였다. 또한 지구의 탄소순환을 규명할 수 있는 식생의 순광합성량과 총일차생산량에 대한 모형의 검 보정은 Terra 위성의 MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) 센서를 이용한 산출물인 순광합성량과 총일차생산량 자료를 바탕으로 모형의 보정(2007)및 검증(2008)을 실시하였다. 모형의 최적의 수문, 생리생태학, 토양의 매개변수를 선정하여 검증한 결과, 유출량에 대한 Nash-Sutcliffe 모형효율은 0.84, 증발산, 토양수분, 총일차생산량, 순광합성량의 결정계수는 0.49, 0.18, 0.38, 0.93 이었다.

Penetration of Some Humectants into Shark Muscle (상어육(肉)중의 수분유지제(水分維持劑) 침투(浸透))

  • Estimation of the penetration rate of humectants has been considered to be important in effective control of food processing when intermediate moisture food is manufactured by the moist-infusion method. In this study, when shark (Isurus glaucus) muscle was soaked in four common humectants (sucrose, sorbitol, glycerol, and propylene glycol), the equation of their penetration rate was drawn as a function of time using high performance liquid chromatography analysis. Penetration rates increased with soaking temperatures and decreased inversely with molecular weights of humectants. The penetrated amounts for 10% humectant solution reached about equilibrium after soaking for 10 hours and for 30% humectant after soaking for about 7 hours. In consideration with the penetration rate of the sample soaked in 10% humectant and complex solution of each 10% humectant, little difference was found between them. When the sample was soaked in 10% humectant and 30% humectant, it seemed to be able to apply the following regression equation to estimate the penetrated amounts: M = a log (c.t)+ b where M = penetrated amounts; c = concentration of humectant; t= soaking time; a, b = constant and c.t should be within $10^3\;-\;4{\times}10^4$.

An analysis of runoff characteristic by using soil moisture in Sulma basin (설마천 연구지역에서의 토양수분량을 활용한 유출 발생 특성분석)

  • Soil moisture and runoff have very close relationship. Especially the water retention capacity and drainage characteristics of the soil are determined by various factors of the soil. In this study, a total of 40 rainfall events were identified from the entire rainfall events of Sulma basin in 2016 and 2017. For each selected events, the constant-K method was used to separate direct runoff and baseflow from total flow and calculate the runoff coefficient which shows positive exponential curve with Antecedent Soil Moisture (ASM). In addition to that, the threshold of soil moisture was determined at the point where the runoff coefficient starts increasing dramatically. The threshold of soil moisture shows great correlation with runoff and depth to water table. It was founded that not only ASM but also various factors, such as Initial Soil Moisture (ISM), storage capacity of soil and precipitation, affect the results of runoff response. Furthermore, wet condition and dry condition are separated by ASM threshold and the start and peak response are analyzed. And the results show that the response under wet condition occurred more quickly than that of dry condition. In most events occurred in dry condition, factors reached peak in order of soil moisture, depth to water table and runoff. However, in wet condition, they reached peak in order of depth to water table, runoff and soil moisture. These results will help identify the interaction among factors which affect the runoff, and it will help establish the relationship between various soil conditions and runoff.

Quality Characteristics of Sulgidduk Added with Cabbage Powder (양배추 분말을 첨가한 설기떡의 품질 특성)

  • The objective of this study was to evaluate the quality characteristics of Sulgidduk added with cabbage powder. The moisture contents of Sulgidduk added with cabbage powder ranged from 37.2 to 33.7% and were significantly lower than those of the control. As the amount of cabbage powder increased, the L-value was reduced, while the a- and b-values were increased. In terms of textural characteristics, Hardness, Adhesiveness, Springiness, Cohesiveness, Gumminess, and Chewiness decreased with greater concentrations of cabbage powder. Sensory evaluation revealed that the favorite degree of color, flavor and taste received high increasing scores with increasing addition amounts of cabbage powder, while the Chewiness did not differ significantly (p<0.05) among the samples. The moistness found to be highest in the control, while it decreased as the amount of cabbage powder increased. The overall acceptance was highest as (6.00) for the Sulgidduk (CS6) that contained 6% of the cabbage powder. Overall, the results of this study indicate that adding 6% cabbage powder to Sulgidduk was produced the optimal results, and provided good quality characteristics and high overall acceptance.

상이한 삼림생태계에서의 토층분화 특성과 변화에 따른 수분 이동 특성

  • 경기도 퇴촌에 위치한 경희대학교 연습림내의 경사도와 수종을 달리하는 3개의 서로 다른 임반에서 등고선을 따라 지표면의 토층분화를 조사하였고 이에 따른 수분침투특성을 조사하였다. 3개의 임반은 낙엽송, 잣나무 및 굴참나무의 천연활엽수로 구성되었고 이에 구성 수종에 따라 지표면에 퇴적되는 O, A, B층의 깊이를 달리한다. 토층분화 길이는 3개 임반 모두 경사도가 낮은 하부사면에서 양호하게 발달하였으며 경사도가 높은 산사면이나 수간우가 많은 일부 지역에서는 유거수에 의해 유기물이나 표층토가 유실되어 바로 암반층 또는 풍화층이 나타나는 경향을 보이고 있다. 그러나 잣나무 임반의 경우 밀식 수간에 의해 유기물퇴적층과 A층의 발달이 다른 낙엽송이나 굴참나무 임반보다 토층 발달 깊이가 약 2배 이상으로 깊게 발달되었다. 그리고 조사된 임반의 하부사면의 경우 A층의 발달이 약 35cm부터 약 60cm에 이르고 있으나 토성을 구성하는 요소 중 직경 2mm 이상의 자갈에 토양입자들이 전체 토양의 40%정도를 차지하고 있다. 이러한 토층분화 특성을 달리하는 임반에서의 수분 이동특성은 퇴적된 유기물의 두께가 깊으면 깊을수록 수분침투율은 낮아지는 반면 포면 유거수량은 증가하는 경향을 보여주고 있다. 그리고 지표면, 유기물 퇴적층 아래, 지표면으로부터 30cm 아래에 설치된 Lysimeter를 이용하여 조사된 침출수의 분포는 전체를 100으로 환산시 지표면은 약 55%, 유기물퇴적층 아래는 30%, 그라고 30cm의 위치에서는 나머지 15%정도의 침출수가 포집되었다. 따라서 본 실험의 결과를 살펴보았을 때 지표 층에 존재하는 유기물이 전체 수분이동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었다.양 실험 결과, 서식지에서 조사된 결과인 잎과 줄기에서 Pb$\alpha$ 추정시에는 SeaWiFS 위성과 관련된 global algorithms 중에서 490nm와 555nm의 복합밴드를 포함하는 OC2 알고리즘(ocean color chlorophyll 2 algorithm)을 사용하는 것이 OC2 series 및 OC4 알고리즘보다 좋은 추정 값을 도출할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.환경에서는 5일에서 7월에 주로 이 충체의 유충이 발육되고 전파되는 것으로 추측되었다.러 가지 방법들을 적극 적용하여 금후 검토해볼 필요가 있을 것이다.잡은 전혀 삭과가 형성되지 않았다. 이 결과는 종간 교잡종을 자방친으로 하고 그 자방친의 화분친을 사용할 때만 교잡이 이루어지고 있음을 나타내고 있다. 따라서 여교잡을 통한 종간잡종 품종육성 활용방안을 금후 적극 확대 검토해야 할 것이다하였다.함을 보이고 있다.X> , ZnCl$_{3}$$^{-}$같은

Development of a Grid-based Daily Watershed Runoff Model and the Evaluation of Its Applicability (분포형 유역 일유출 모형의 개발 및 적용성 검토)

  • This study is to develop a grid-based daily runoff model considering seasonal vegetation canopy condition. The model simulates the temporal and spatial variation of runoff components (surface, interflow, and baseflow), evapotranspiration (ET) and soil moisture contents of each grid element. The model is composed of three main modules of runoff, ET, and soil moisture. The total runoff was simulated by using soil water storage capacity of the day, and was allocated by introducing recession curves of each runoff component. The ET was calculated by Penman-Monteith method considering MODIS leaf area index (LAI). The daily soil moisture was routed by soil water balance equation. The model was evaluated for 930 $km^2$ Yongdam watershed. The model uses 1 km spatial data on landuse, soil, boundary, MODIS LAI. The daily weather data was built using IDW method (2000-2008). Model calibration was carried out to compare with the observed streamflow at the watershed outlet. The Nash-Sutcliffe model efficiency was 0.78~0.93. The watershed soil moisture was sensitive to precipitation and soil texture, consequently affected the streamflow, and the evapotranspiration responded to landuse type.
