  • 고효율 유도전동기는 일반 유도전동기의 발생 손실을 절감시킨 것으로 적은 소비전력으로 에너지를 절약하고, 운전비용이 낮아서 단기간에 초기 설비투자 비용회수가 가능하고, 온도상승이 크지 않아 전동기 수명을 연장시킬 수 있다. 이에 포스코아에서는 이제까지의 경험을 바탕으로 전기 연구원과 협력하여 고효율 유도전동기 개발에 나섰다. 본 논문에서는 고효율 유도전동기 소형모터금형개발에 관하여 연구하였다.

  • 인명이나 물적 재산에 많은 손실을 가져주는 기계설비 및 구조물의 파괴현상에 대한 연구는 재해 원인을 분석하고 안전대책을 수립하기 위한 측면에서 대단히 중요하며, 지금까지 많은 연구가 행하여져 오호 있다 프랙탈기하학에 대한 연구는 Mandelbrot/sup l)/에 의하여 제안되어 20년 정도의 짧은 기간임에도 불구하고 여러 분야의 자연현상을 모델화하기 위하여 다양하게 발표가 되고 있다. 프랙탈 특성은 자연현상의 불규칙한 변화를 정량적으로 나타내기 위한 프랙탈차원으로 평가된다 프랙탈차원은 파면 및 균열의 불규칙성을 정량화함으로써 균열수명을 보다 더 정확히 예측하는데 적용될 수 있다.(중략)

  • LED교통신호등은 기존 전구식 신호등과 달리 필라맨트 발열부가 없고, 전구식에 사용하는 착색렌즈 사용이 없어 이에 따른 빛 손실이 매우 적으며, 전구식 신호등에 비해 90% 정도의 전력이 절약된다. 또 특정 파장대의 단색광을 발광하며, 소자의 특성상 전원 공급과 동시에 빛을 발광한다. 그러면서 긴 수명으로 인하여 유지보수비용의 절감이 이루어지고, 구조적으로 매우 견고한 특성을 가지고 있다. (중략)

  • LED는 소비전력이 적고, 수명이 길어 LCD Backlight 용 광원으로 주목받고 있다. 현재 휴대전화기용 LCD에 많이 사용되고 있는 소형 LED Backlight의 경우 입광부에 LED의 개수가 육안으로 확인 가능할 정도의 Hot Spot이 존재한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 Reflector를 사용하여 광의 손실을 줄이고 도광판의 입광부에 산란 패턴을 설계하여 적용함으로써 도광판 입광부에서 122.7%의 휘도 상승효과와 73.4%의 휘도 균일도를 얻을 수 있었으며 이로 인해 Hot Spot을 감소시킬 수 있었다.

  • For energy-efficiency in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), when a sensor node detects events, the sensing period for collecting the detailed information is likely to be short. The lifetime of WSNs decreases because communication modules are used excessively on a specific sensor node. To solve this problem, the TARP decentralized network packets to neighbor nodes. It considered the average data transmission rate as well as the data distribution. However, since the existing scheme did not consider the energy consumption of a node in WSNs, its network lifetime is reduced. The proposed scheme considers the remaining amount of energy and the transmission rate on a single node in fitness evaluation. Since the proposed scheme performs an efficient congestion control it extends the network lifetime. The simulation result shows that our scheme enhances the data fairness and improves the network lifetime by about 27% on average over the existing scheme.

Fatigue Life Analysis for Solder Joint of Optical Thin Film Filter Device (다층 박막 광학 필터 디바이스의 패키징시 솔더 조인트의 피로파괴 수명 해석)

  • Plastic and creep deformations of a solder joint on thermal cycle play an important role in the reliability of optical telecommunication components. Solder joint strain is increased with the thermal cycle time and it causes mis-alignments and power loss in the optical component. Furthermore, the component can be failed since the deformation exceed the limitation of the fatigue life. We applied the finite element analysis method to solve the problem of the solder joint reliability on thermal cycle. Plastic and creep deformations are calculated by the finite element method. And, the fatigue lire is predicted by using creep-fatigue prediction models with calculated strains. The temperature conditon of the analysis was referred from the Telcordia reliability schedule (-40 to 75). Also, the three ramp renditions, 1/min, 10/min and 50/min, and dwelling time were considered to analyze the differences of results.

  • Since sensor node has a limited energy supply in a wireless sensor network, it is very important to maximize the network lifetime through energy-efficient routing. Thus, many routing protocols have been developed for wireless sensor networks and can be classified into flat and hierarchical routing protocols. Recent researches focus on hierarchical routing scheme and LEACH is a representative hierarchical routing protocol. In this paper, we investigated the problems of the LEACH and proposed a novel energy efficient routing scheme, called ENTER(ENergy efficient Two-tiEr Routing protocol), to resolve the problem. ENTER reduces an energy consumption and increases a network lifetime by organizing clusters by the same distributed algerian as in the LEACH and establishing paths among cluster-heads to transmit the aggregated data to the sink node. We compared the performance of the ENTER with the LEACH through simulation and showed that the ENTER could enhance the network lifetime by utilizing the resources more efficiently.

  • Acceptance level random vibration and life firing test for development model of 1 N-class monopropellant thruster have been performed. From the results of random vibration, the natural frequency of the dual thurst module composed of 1 N-class development model thrusters was higher than the part level requirement(>100 Hz) and the structural robustness was verified. Thrust decrease of steady sate was below 7% and thrust instability was within ${\pm}5%$ in the life firing test using over 20 kg propellant throughput. The computerized tomography for catalyst bed showed a less than 7% of catalyst loss and it revealed the design appropriateness of the current thruster development model.

  • Efficient routing protocols designed for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) can be extended and applied to Internet of Things (IoT) data routing, as IoT can be considered to be an extension from WSN. When the size of the data in IoT is often bigger than in conventional WSNs, existing cluster routing protocol such as LEACH may cause high data loss rate due to its incomplete load balancing. We present an enhanced LEACH-based protocol which can minimize the data loss which is an important performance measure in IoT. In our proposed protocol, the base station estimates the location of nodes by the trilateration technique to make sure optimal number of cluster heads and members in a deterministic manner. We evaluate our proposed protocol via computer simulations in terms of data loss rate and average network lifetime.

  • Manual type manifold gauge has been used for charging the refrigerant in the refrigeration systems. In this case, the refrigerant is released to the ambient during the hose-switching period. :he objectives of this study are to develop a novel automatic refrigerant charging system, and to quantify the effect of the automatic systems on the reduction of the non-condensable gas and the contamination of the compressor oil. The automatic charging system makes the pressure test, vacuum test, and refrigerant charging work very simple and easy because the charging hose does not have to be switched many times. It is found that the amount of water in the SiO$_2$and the compressor oil reduces to l/4 times of that for the manual type manifold gauge and the refrigerant is not released to the ambient at all when the automatic charging system is adopted.
