Tx/Rx Bi-Directional Focusing by Using Multi-Element Defocusing Method in Ultrasonic Imaging System (초음파 영상시스템에서 다수 소자의 역 초점화 방법을 이용한 송수신 양방향 빔집속)

  • 본 논문에서는 다수의 변환자 소자를 사용해서 빔을 역 초점화하는 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 64개의 소자를 사용해서 한 개의 소자에서 얻은 것과 거의 동일한 모양의 구면파를 얻을 수 있다. 이렇게 얻은 구면파는 합성집속에서 영상의 신호 대 잡음비를 높이는데 사용된다. 실험에서 제안된 방법은 영상의 해상도를 저하시키지 않고 신호대 잡음비를 크게 향상시킬 수 있음을 보여주었다. 특히 제안된 방법은 기존의 역초점화 방법에 의해 우수한 잡음 특성을 갖는다. 여기서 영상은 송수신의 양방향 빔집속에 의해서 얻었다.

Design and Fabrication of an L-Band Digital TR Module for Radar (레이다용 L대역 디지털 송수신모듈 설계 및 제작)

  • Active array radar is evolving into digital active array radar. Digital active array radar has many advantages for making several simultaneous radar beams from the digital receive data of each element. A digital-type transceiver(TR) module is suitable for this goal in radar. In this work, the design results of an L-band digital TR module are presented to verify the possibility of fabrication for a digital active array antenna. This L-band digital TR module consists of a gallium-nitride-type HPA to achieve a more than 350-W peak output power and one-chip transceivers that include a digital waveform generator and analog digital converter. The receiving gain was 47 dB, the noise figure was less than 2 dB, and the final output type of the four channel receiving paths was one optic signal.

  • This study describes the design and implementation of TRM(Transmit and Receiver Module) for detection for targets of small RCS(Radar Cross Section). Through the pre-simulation analysis of radar system about RF, the main specifications of TRM are verified. After the fabrication of TRM, the main characteristics such as the maximum output, noise figure, spurious were confirmed. In the future, the radar system test will be carried out by assembling TRMs, antenna radiator, and the transceiver that generates and receivers the radar waveform reflected.

  • In this paper, an integrated and small Ka-band transceiver module has been developed for measuring distance at the radar systems. Oscillator of cavity type, The MMIC such as VCO, power amplifier, LNA, and mixer, and passive components are integrated on carriers and these are assembled in the transceiver module directly. The test result shows the output power of 21dBm and the noise figure of 5dB using developed transceiver module. Using developed FMCW transceiver module. We can measure the 60m range target by detecting the beat frequency and distinguish both earth and sky using radiometer signal. So we defined that the integrated module using MMIC had a good performance for the radar and radiometer at Ka-band.

  • The existing USB connection type of the clip-type pulsmeter equipped with a Hall sensor and a permanent magnet does not have any error or malfunction to measure the pulse wave. The property of the wireless networking system communicating the pulse wave data through the wireless LAN communication by combination USB with Ethernet and Ethernet to Wi-Fi converting system instead of existing USB connection method was investigated. There are exited that the patient needs to stay at close site of the desktop PC without USB connector and the wireless transfer and receiver networking system has pulse wave measurement SW to receive the pulse wave data. Thus it is expected that the study becomes helpful to measure and transfer the exact pulse wave of the patient in a comfortable pose at close range.

  • 낮은 도핑의 silicon은 광통신에서 사용하는 1.3 및 1.55 um의 광파장 영역에서 0.01dB/cm 이하의 낮은 흡수 손실을 가짐으로 인해, core 층으로 silicon을 사용하며 상부 및 하부 cladding 층으로 SiO$_2$와 같은 유전체 박막 구조를 갖는 SOI (Silicon on Insulator)를 사용한 수동광소자에 대한 연구가 1990년대부터 진행되고 있다. 또한 silicon의 특성상 SOI는strain에 의한 영향이 낮고, 광학적 비등방성이 적어서 polymer 및 silica를 이용한 광소자에 비해 편광의존도가 낮은 광소자를 구현할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 현재까지 연구되어온 SOI 수동광소자의 연구결과는 TE/TM 편광차에 따른 채널분리도가 약 0.04nm, 누화특성이 23dB 인 8채널 AWG의 연구결과가 있었으며, 스위칭시간 < 1msec, 소광비 17 dB의 광결합기와 마하젠더가 혼합된 광변조기 및 Bookham사에서 개발한 RX/TX 양방향 송수신 광모듈에 적용된 1.3/l.55 um 파장선택적 분리기, Silicon-CMOS 증폭기와 집적화된 4channel 광다중 수신기등에 대한 연구결과가 있었다.   • In this paper, as a study of the simple visible light communication(VLC) with LED light, the visible light communication system that are made up with the $3{\times}3$ white LED array for visible light transmission, various photodiodes for visible light reception, and a non-carrier NRZ-OOK modulation scheme is designed and implemented to have a 115.2 kbps data speed at 2.5 m distance between transmitter and receiver. For the performance analysis of the developed VLC system, the maximum distance between VLC transmitter and receiver on the conditions of various transmission speeds, the number of LED array, or the various kind of LED and photodiode is obtained, and various performances are analyzed by experiments.

  • The data rate for transmission through fiber-optic cables has increased to 400 Gbps in single-wavelength channels. However, speeds up to 1 Tbps are required now to meet the ever-increasing bandwidth demand driven by the diverse requirements of contemporary applications for high-quality on-demand video streaming, cloud services, various social media, and emerging 5G-enabled applications. Because the data rates of the per-channel optical interfaces depend strongly on the operational speed of the optoelectronic devices used in optical transceivers, ultrahigh-speed photonic devices and components, and eventually, chip-level transmitter and receiver technologies, are essentially required to realize futuristic optical transceivers with data rates of 1 Tbps and beyond. In this paper, we review the recent progress achieved in high-speed optoelectronic devices, such as laser diodes, optical modulators, photodiodes, and the transmitter-receiver optical subassembly for optical transceivers in data centers and in metro/long-haul transmission.
