  • Most of measurement sensors used for maintenance are continuously exposed to various environmental factors such as transportation and rainfall, so the possibility of breakage increases gradually. The maintenance measurement sensor of domestic subway tunnel shows an average of 14.2% to 14.8% of loss rate after about 5 to 6 years from installation, and it shows a sensor loss rate of about 13.9% in case of foreign countries. As a result, it can be seen that an average of 15% of maintenance measurement sensors at home and abroad cannot send measuring values after 5~6 years. In order to continuously collect accurate data, measurement data must be recovered by performing repair or replacement of the sensor, but some lost measurement sensors are buried after installation. So, there are many difficulties in repairing sensors, including cost and time. Therefore, in this paper, we propose lost measurement sensor data estimation technology based on data trend analysis using adjacent sensors.

  • In this study, the total loss and damage ratio of maintenance monitoring which is installed and operated in the domestic and foreign tunnel structure is researched and analyzed for estimating the loss and damage ratio of maintenance monitoring sensor of subway tunnel. The total loss and damage ratio at the elapsed time of 5-6 years after installation is 14.2% in the Seoul metro line no.5,6 and 7, 14.8% in the section 1 of the Seoul metro line no.9, 13.9% in the Channel tunnel of England and all of them are close to 15%. Therefore, it is reasonable to reflect that the total loss and damage ratio of maintenance monitoring sensor of subway tunnel is estimated provisionally 15% on design, and hence the study of the loss and damage ratio with the number of elapsed years in long-term by the measurement category will be needed.

  • Purpose: This paper investigates and analyzes the loss and damage ratio of maintenance monitoring sensor in metropolitan and high speed railroad tunnel in Korea and abroad. Method: After 5~6 years from the installation, the maintenance monitoring sensor on metropolitan transit tunnels showed the loss and damage ratio from 14.2% to 14.8% in Seoul metro line no. 5, 6, 7, 9, and 13.9% in UK channel tunnel. Based on the result, 15% is thought to be a proper set for the elapsed years, which is 5 years from the installation. Results: The maintenance monitoring sensor on high speed railroad tunnels showed the loss and damage ratio of 60.9% in Ho-Nam high speed railroad on 1 stage after 3 ~ 5 years from the installation, which was approximately 4 times as high as that of Seoul metro line no. 5, 6, 7, 9. Conclusion: Kyung-Bu high speed railroad on 2 stage, after 8~10 years from the installation, showed the loss and damage ratio of 66.8%. Based on the result, it can be inferred that the loss and damage ratio increases drastically after 5~10 years from the installation. Therefore, it is necessary to study on the loss and damage ratio of long term elapsed years, especially more than 10 years from the installation.
