  • Purpose: Kimura's disease is an uncommon benign lymphoproliferative inflammatory disorder with an unknown etiology. The recurrence rate after surgical excision is relatively high and renal involvement is its only systemic manifestation. The condition mainly involves the head and neck, and peripheral involvement is extremely rare. Materials and Methods: We encountered the case of a 28-year-old man who had a non-tender mass with mild brownish skin color changes and pruritus around the medial side of the distal arm and elbow. Results: The peripheral blood investigation revealed peripheral eosinophilia and elevated serum IgE levels. Magnetic resonance imaging showed an isointensity signal relative to the muscle on the T1-weighted images and hyperintensity signal relative to the muscle on the T2-weighted images. Conclusion: A marginal resection of the lesion was performed and there was no recurrence at 2 years postoperatively.

The itching, which has correlation with the heart, is the deficiency symptom(虛症). It is generated when the lung-metal(肺金) is infected by the fire pathogen(火邪) and developed to depression(鬱), because of the heart fire flaming upward of circuit year(歲火太過). The treatment is to make metal depression scatter(金鬱泄之). 2. The itching occurs between the dermis(膚) and the epidermis(皮). 3. The itching generates when the excess of yang exuberance(熱盛極) precede the transmission of the wind-heats(風熱), the wind-cold(風寒), and the wind-dampness(風濕). It causes the blood deficiency(血虛) and the blood stasis(血瘀) because of the skin dryness. 4. The itching usually generates during summer, causes the body fever(身熱) and the dermis pain(膚痛). When it becomes worse, it causes generalized itching and vesicles at the whole body(浸淫). 5. The itching is related to the spirit(魄), which works in unconsciousness and the movement of defense qi(衛氣) in night.

  • Introduction This study reports case series of Soyangin patients with coldness in hands and feet using Sasang constitutional medicine approach. This study suggests a value of using constitutional medicine indicators as both prognostic and diagnostic tools. Methods Among patients who visited an outpatient clinic, 7 patients were selected based on the criteria. These selected patients were exclusively treated with herbal medicine and monitored every 2 to 4 weeks retrospectively. Results The average treatment period was 8 weeks. Patients with a favorable pattern showed the improvement within 8 weeks, while those with an unfavorable pattern required more time. Discussion This study confirms the significance of Sasang constitutional medicine approach in Soyangin exterior cold syndrome with coldness in hands and feet. It also validates the current coldness in hands and feet as meaningful diagnostic indicator of Soyangin exterior cold syndrome. Furthermore, it highlights the value of original symptoms as prognostic tools.

When he was rechecked at 14th day after fourth being administered, scabies and ear mites wasn't seen. The dermatological signs, pruritus, papules were remarkably decreased and only slight scales were observed. After treatment of scabies and ear mites, the clavamox and koto-conazole was administered for cocci and Malassezia spp, respectively, for 1 week and topical therapy was initiated. with sebolytic and chlorhexidine shampoo once a week for 3 weeks. Two months later skin lesions were normal dermatologically and the hair was fully recovered.
