Hydrostatic pressure in the center of wire drawing and extrusion of viscoplastic material (점소성 재료의 인발과 변형역 중심에서의 정수압에 관한 연구)

  • 1,200.deg.C에서의 단조철은 점소성을 나타내며 인발과 압출시 변형영역이 구형수렴형태가 됨을 실험을 통하여 나타난다. 이 변형역 모델로부터 평형방정식을 사용하여 평균 압출 및 인발응력과 정수압을 계산해 낸다. 평균 압출 및 임발응력은 상계 해석 방법에 의한 결과와 비교하여 본 연구의 해석방법의 유효성을 타진하고 정수압은 다른 연구자들의 결과와 비교 검토되며 특히 냉간가공의 경우와 비교 검토 된다. 그 외에 마찰계수, 급형각도와 단면감소율의 영향에 대해서도 논의 된다.

  • The chassis of T.V, cassette, radio and telephone are made up thin-iron plates that makes a lot of female screws to assemble various parts. Then makes hole in the iron plate and forming female screws of burring face after the burring. Female screws forming in thin-iron plate is very difficult working then rolled forming process use of plastic deformation instead of cut forming. In this study goals are solve the trouble problem of industrial field and develop new model tap for prevent chips.

  • There exists a certain functional relation between Vickers hardness and flow stress in the strain-hardened material. Using this relation, the Vickers hardness values in the strain-hardened material can be converted into the flow stress values in good approximation. Therefore, the information about the flow stress distribution in the material can be easily acquired through a forming experiment. That makes it possible to simulate the process state for a critical moment of cold forging under the given boundary conditions very quickly without calculating the foregoing history of the actual deformation from the beginning.

  • Finite element simulation with experimental analysis of Taguchi's orthogonal array was carried out to know the effects of material and forming parameters on the cup earing and skewness. It was revealed that the planar anisotropy was the most influencing factor in the cup ear formation whereas blank holding force and material properties such as strength and thickness deviation at the coil edge had a relatively high effect on the cup skewness.

  • The restraining characteristics for the single square drawbead are discussed. The drawbead restraining forces adn maximum strains by the various drawing angles are measured experimentally. During this procedure , the drawing angles are varied from 0$^{\circ}C$ to 60$^{\circ}C$. Also, the wide range of experimental data of the drawing forces and maximum strains for the various drawbead dimensions, dimensions, clearances and blank holding forces are preseted.

  • During sheet metal forming on a double-action press, drawbeads on the blankholder supply a restraining force which controls the flow of metal into the die. The sheet formability can be improved by the optimum drawbeads installation when the punch enters into the die opening. Experiments on the various drawbeads, circular, step, double circular, and circular-step drawbead, have been performed under various working conditions.

  • Vickers hardness is defined as indenting force per unit area indented by a pyramid-shaped diamond at the hardness test. It is well known that Vickers hardness has a direct relation with the flow stress of the strain-hardened material. This relation was theoretically investigated and the result was summerized in a form of algebraic equation in the last paper. In the present paper and experimental validation of this theoretical relation is given along with mathematical formulas for conversion of Vickers hardness into the flow stress in the strain-hardened material for practical use.

  • In this paper the bending collapse characteristics of 60 series Al rectangular tubes were studied with a pure bending collapse test rig which could apply the pure bending moment, there occured three kinds of bending collapse modes - local buckling, delayed buckling, tensile failure - depending on the b/t(width/thickness) ratio and material properties. Experiment results are compared with the results of finite element method.

  • To investigate the behavior of platic deformation inaxisymmetric hot extrusion through square dies, the physical modelling with the plasticine as a model material is carried out at the room temperature. Some mechanical properties of the model material are determined by compression and ring compression tests. Visioplasticity method using experimetal grid distortion is introduced to anlayze the plastic flow, strain rate and strain distribution.

  • Theoretical and experimental drawing characteristics for the step drawbead are discussed. The drawbead restraining forces and strains by the varous drawing angles are measured experimentally. Also, during the blank holding process, the strain distributions of upper and lower skins of specimens are analysed by the 2-D rigid-plastic F.E.M And the drawbead restraining forces and strain distributions for the drawn specimens by the drawing length are obtained by experiment.
