  • 과거와 달리 현재는 소비에 대한 인식이 바뀌어 상품을 공급받는 소비가 아닌 이미지와 가치를 중시하는 차별화된 소비를 원한다. 따라서 고객의 주목을 끌어 판매를 유도하는 매장 쇼윈도우 디스플레이의 중요성이 높아졌다. 쇼윈도우 디스플레이에 있어서 오브제(object)는 제품의 가치를 향상시킬 수 있는 수단이자 방법으로 시각적 매체이다. 이러한 오브제 연출 기법을 살펴보기 위해 구상적 매체와 추상적 매체로 구분하여 패션 플래그쉽스토어 사례를 분석하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 오브제 연출 기법의 적극적인 도입으로 과거의 획일화된 디스플레이 연출에서 탈피하여 제품의 가치 증진과 소비자와 유대관계를 맺고 시선을 유도할 수 있는 차별화된 패션 플래그쉽스토어 쇼윈도우 디스플레이로 거듭나는 것에 의의를 둔다. 또한 디스플레이 쇼윈도우의 효과적인 시각전달과 새로운 디자인의 개성화를 추구하고자 한다.

Structural Relationship among Service Value, Brand Image, and Patients Revisits in Regional Public Hospitals in Korea (지방의료원 의료소비자의 서비스가치, 브랜드이미지, 재이용의도 간 관계)

  • The study was performed to measure structural relationship among service value, brand image, and royalty of patients in regional public hospitals in Korea. Based on the analysis, the study aims to establish strategic direction of the regional public hospitals. Through a review of related literatures, measurement variables were identified, and a path model was developed for the study. Five regional public hospitals were chosen, and questionnaire has been collected from 387 outpatients and 358 inpatients. The study found that service value has a positive direct effect on brand image, and brand image has a positive direct effect on loyalty. Based on the findings, it is desirable for the regional public hospitals should mange the issues with lower level of perception and those with bigger effect, and establish low pricing strategy with improving the quality of service they provide.

Means-End Chain Approach to Understand Consumer Motivation Towards Convenience Meat Products: Focus on New York City in US Market (수단-목적 사슬 이론을 적용한 소비자의 육류 편의제품에 대한 가치 측정: 미국 뉴욕 지역을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze how consumers make links between convenience meat products and self-relevant consequences and value. Surveys on convenience meat product consumption patterns and hard laddering based on means-end chain theory were conducted from April 21 to April 25, 2014 and targeted 200 consumers in the US. The most preferred cooking method of convenience meat product was roast (25.9%) and the most common information medium was suggestions by friends and parents (37.1%). The main as well as desired places of purchasing were both the supermarket (33.6% and 27.3%, respectively). The most preferred promotion method was free sample events (38.5%). From analyzing means-end chains of convenience meat products, the most dominant value chain was 'taste (A)'-'good taste (C)'-'feel good (V)'. These results show that consumption of convenience meat products will increase when consumer expectations of taste and satisfaction are met. Further, results of the value measurement provide information on consumer satisfaction and needs and can be applied to set marketing strategies for Korean style convenience meat products.

  • This study explores the issues of "eco-friendly consumption" through online media posts, and aims to identify changes in it. Total 6,812 blog posts on Naver, that included the words "eco-friendly consumption" and "eco-friendly lifestyle," published between 2005 and 2020, in five-year intervals, were analyzed. The results illustrated that consumption issues began with the identification of the causes of environmental problems however, "eco-friendly consumption" gradually gained importance, until it developed into preparing standards and alternatives for proper "eco-friendly consumption." In 2020, "eco-friendly consumption" values and ideal consumption practices were expanded into social movements. However, there is relatively little discussion on controlled and modest spending. Therefore, for the future direction of "eco-friendly consumption," it is necessary to thoroughly examine and highlight the agenda of controlled and modest living from a higher perspective.

  • Senior business has been paid attention due to rapid global aging and baby boomers turning 60. However, senior business is not successful as expected because of a lack of understanding of consumers and small size of Korean domestic market. Understanding of senior consumers and overseas markets and providing attractive product and service contents needs to overcome the current challenges. Therefore, this study explores and compares consumers of different generation and different countries. We employ consumption value theory and analyze which consumption values are perceived strongly by each four group(Korean consumers in their 20s, Korean their consumers in 50s, Chinese consumers in their 20s, and Chinese consumers in their 50s). We conducted online survey to compare consumption values among samples of consumers in two countries: Korea and China. There are forty survey instruments in twelve consumption values. The results can be used to develop a strategy for planning, developing, distributing, and promoting product and service contents which consumers, in particular baby boomers, have a strong intention to purchase it.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the women consumers' pursued clothing images and consumption values according to the value system. The data was obtained from questionnaires filled out by 305 women living in Seoul and Gyung-gi. For data analysis, factor analysis, cronbach's alpha, ANOVA and cluster analysis were used. The results of this study were as follows: First, value, pursued clothing images and clothing consumption values were consisted of various factors. Second, women's values influenced on the pursued clothing images and clothing consumption values. Third, according to value factors, women classified into four groups, And they showed different pursued clothing images and consumption values. Also they were differentiated with shopping frequency and age. Therefore, value system was the important factor which can suggest the women's pursued clothing images and consumption values and marketer should know the value system of targeting consumers.

  • Information is the most important rather then wealth in the information age. According to propagation of the information by new media, this era is called communication innovation age. And away of thought and life style as well as a society system are changing. Propagation by newspaper and TV as well as new media makes new view on value of consumers, and they recognize propensity to consume as needs from emotion rather than economical value. Changes of thoughts make lots of innovation:from one side, modern design to multi-meanimg design, from consuming of products to consuming of the image, from outer object to inner object, from consuming by mass to consuming individually by fashion. It means the possibilities that a meaning could be interpreted variously. Sign is a configuration for communication with discourse, which is the communication between meaning maker and meaning solver. In this study, various expression of sign in advertising were divided into direct expression and metaphoritical expression which was analysed deeply because it was recoquized as proper expression methed in postmodem design.

The Effect of Paid YouTube Channel Membership Motivation on Usage Satisfaction and Continuance Intention: Based on Consumption Value Theory (유료 유튜브 채널멤버십 이용동기가 이용만족과 지속이용의도에 미치는 영향: 소비가치이론을 기반으로)

  • YouTube exhibits a hybrid personality, incorporating traits of both over-the-top (OTT) and personal broadcasting platforms. However, limited research has investigated these hybrid characteristics, particularly in the context of paid YouTube channel memberships. Therefore, building upon consumption value theory and prior literature, this study examines the influence of consumption value factors associated with paid YouTube channel memberships on usage satisfaction and continuance intention. Specifically, the study identifies four perceived consumption value factors (functional, social, emotional, and epistemic values) within the paid YouTube channel membership context and assesses their impact on usage satisfaction and continuance intention. Additionally, the study explores the moderating role of conditional value (the experience of watching live streams on paid YouTube channels) in these relationships. Data was collected via an online survey from Korean adults who subscribed to multiple paid YouTube channel memberships, resulting in 274 responses. The proposed hypotheses were tested using structural equation modeling (SEM). The SEM results indicate that all four consumption value factors significantly influence usage satisfaction, with usage satisfaction in turn positively affecting continuance intention. Furthermore, the study reveals that conditional value moderates the relationships between functional/emotional values and usage satisfaction, as well as between usage satisfaction and continuance intention. This study is the first to focus on YouTube channel paid memberships, which encompass characteristics from both OTT and personal broadcasting platforms. It is anticipated that this research will offer insights to personal broadcasters and stakeholders regarding the motivational factors that impact user satisfaction and encourage subscriptions to channel memberships.

The Study For a New Positioning Strategy For the Performance Arts (공연예술 수요개발 촉진을 위한 포지셔닝(Positioning) 전략 제안)

  • The Supply side of performance arts has been pretty much developed since the establishment of ARCO. The development level of the demand side, however, was much lower than that of supply side. This unbalance make it difficult to achieve the goal and to complete the mission of ARCO's assistant to the performance arts. Unlike the existing research for solving this problem, this study suggests the positioning strategy of a new value of performance arts for solving this problem. This positioning is, instead of meeting the experiential and symbolic needs, targeting the functional needs to solve the life problems to be faced with aging, for example, the problems from education, human relationship and health. The new positioning will make the demand for the performance arts belong to the top priority group in the expenditure list of consumers because the perceived concept of performance arts will be changed from the "Wants" consumption to "Should be" consumption like a expenditure of private education for children and that of health problems. Therefore, this new positioning is surely expected that the development of new demand from the new position is pretty much higher than that of present positioning. This study also suggests practical strategies, PR and cross functional management system for the implementation of this new positioning.

  • 학생은 미래뿐만 아니라 현재의 소비자로서 합리적인 의사결정을 통한 소비문화가 요구된다. 하지만 학생의 소비문화와 학교의 소비교육, 가정교육은 문제점을 안고 있다. 학생들은 물건의 필요성이나 용도, 금전상황, 가정상황 등을 전체적으로 고려하여 구매하기보다는 비계획적이고, 즉흥적이다. 학교에서는 교사들이 학생의 소비행위를 한 눈에 파악하여 교육적으로 피드백하기가 쉽지 않다. 가정에서는 학생들의 소비행위에 대한 의사소통의 길이 부족하다. 이에 본 연구는 소비의사결정 5단계와 Decision-Tree의 교육적인 면을 고려하여 합리적 소비 의사결정을 위한 6단계(문제정의, 정보탐색, 대안평가, 가치확립, 구매경험, 구매평가)를 새롭게 제안하고, 소비교실, 용돈 의사결정, 설문모듈을 통해 6단계를 체험하는 시스템을 설계하였다. 제안한 모델은 교사와 학생, 학부모 모두가 참여하여 학생의 계획적이고 합리적인 소비 의사결정 능력을 신장시키는데 도움을 줄 것이다.
