A Study of Hands-Free Car Kit Design Development according to the Consumer′s Purchasing Need (소비자 구매요구에 따른 차량용 핸즈프리 디자인 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Product design has direct effects on sales, exciting consumer's interest in purchasing. With the draft bill of Road Traffic Law passing the National Assembly, drivers have been entirely prohibited by the law from using a cell phone while driving since June 30, 2001, As a result, the demand for and the sales of hands-free Kit products for vehicles have been skyrocketing, and more and more of them have been introduced in the market and competing each other in sales. In these situations, the study attempted to present a case study showing the whole process of product design by a small company, which intended to gain an advantage over the competitors in the sector of hands-free products for vehicles with differentiated design. The product whose design development process was presented in the study has many characteristics. Among them it is the most remarkable in removing the connection between the cell phone terminal and the stationary hands-free product. The study was aimed to increase the investment value of design by helping understand that the ultimate goal of technology is commercialization and that how great the role of design is from the beginning to the final stage of product development. It also emphasized the point that one of the goals of design development should lie in providing a more accurate perception of the importance of design to the industry, by establishing a design process throughout the whole stages of product development including initiation, designing and commercialization.

Analysis of Foreign Customers' Price Sensitivity on Korean Traditional Restaurants Using Price Sensitivity Measurement (외국인의 한식당에 대한 가격민감성 분석)

  • The purposes of this study were (1) to analyze price sensitivity, (2) to define the range of acceptable prices for each foreign segment, and (3) to provide a price model for Korean traditional restaurants. From October to November, 2006, a total of 781 foreigners responded to individual surveys. Statistical analyses on the survey data were performed using descriptive statistics and Price Sensitivity Measurement (PSM). Major findings from the study are as follows: First, the ranges of the acceptable prices were $98$\sim$$130 for fine dining/gourmet restaurants, $70$\sim$$90 for theme/ambience restaurants, $40$\sim$$60 for popular/family restaurants, and $18$\sim$$30 for convenience/fast food restaurants. Second, the convenience/fast food restaurants showed the highest price sensitivity. Third, a low stress level and wide range of the acceptable price were observed for the fine dining/gourmet restaurants, suggesting that the price sensitivity of the fine dining/gourmet restaurants was quite low. Finally, the price sensitivity indicated by the Japanese was higher than by the other groups. In consequence, the research findings suggest that the managers of the Korean traditional restaurants should strategically plan prices by understanding different customers' price sensitivity within and between customer segments. Through additional research, marketers can compare perceptions of specific brands, the competition, and variations within a product line.

  • 두산은 2001년에 <산> 소주 제품으로 소주시장에 진입하였지만, 2002년도에 6.7%였던 <산> 소주의 시장 점유율이 2004년도 들어서서 5.4% 로 하락하였고, 선호도 역시 매우 낮은 수준으로 조사되어, 원인분석과 함께 새로운 소주에 대한 개발 필요성이 대두되었다. 당시 두산은 시장 선도 브랜드인 <참이슬>의 충성 고객층은 감소하면서 비호감 고객층이 증가하는 등 소주에 대한 고객의 욕구가 변화하고 있다는 시장조사 결과에서 성공의 기회를 엿볼 수 있었다. 그리고 1인당 알코올 소비량은 감소하였으나 소주의 소비량은 연간 70병으로 일정한 소비를 나타나고 있었기 때문에, 소주시장의 매력도는 아직 충분히 존재한다고 판단하였다. 그리하여 두산이 목표로 삼을 표적시장 선정을 위한 시장조사를 대대적으로 시작하였는데, 소주 음용 조사에서 30~40대의 남성들은 소비량이 감소하는 반면 여성들의 소주 소비량은 전 연령대에 걸쳐 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 여기에서 두산은 새로운 소주시장에 대한 신제품 개발의 기회를 발견하고, 신제품 개발 프로젝트에 착수하게 되었다. 이를 위해 먼저 소주 트렌드의 변화와 소비자들의 라이프 스타일을 살펴보고, 이를 통해 '웰빙'을 신제품의 주요가치로 결정하게 된다. 이후 시장 세분화 조사를 통해 다량음용자(heavy user)가 많은 품질 중시 시장과 도수 및 숙취 중시 시장에 진입하기로 한다. 그 다음 소주에 대한 소비자들의 불만족 요인이 무엇인지 살펴보고 이를 해결하기 위한 대안들을 탐색한다. 그 결과 '목 넘김이 부드럽고, 몸의 산성화를 중화시키며, 숙취 해소'에 뛰어난 '알칼리수'를 신제품의 주원료로 사용한 <처음처럼>을 개발하게 된다. 소주의 주요 속성별 선호도 조사를 실시한 결과, 모든 속성에서 <처음처럼>이 경쟁사 제품보다 뛰어난 것으로 나타나 두산은 <처음처럼>을 시장에 출시하게 되었다. <처음처럼>은 24~35세를 목표 고객으로 설정하고, 유흥업소가 밀집한 중심상권을 집중적으로 공략하였다. 이를 위해 저가 정책을 실시하여 유통업체의 마진을 높였으며, 다양한 광고, 촉진 전략을 통해서 소비자 인지도를 향상시켰다. 그 결과 수도권 및 전국 지역에서 지속적으로 시장점유율이 증가하였으며, 소비자들에게 <참이슬>과 차별화된 이미지를 구축하게 되었다. <처음처럼>이 성공적으로 시장에 진입할 수 있었던 이유로는 알칼리수 사용, 감성적 브랜드명 채택, 차별화된 마케팅 전략 구사, 그리고 조직원의 강력한 성공 의지 등을 들 수 있다. 소주 시장의 독보적 존재였던 <참이슬>과의 경쟁에서 이루어진 결과라는 점에서 <처음처럼>의 사례는 많은 기업들에게 시사점을 제공할 수 있다. 하지만 현재 '대중성'이나 '친근감'같은 이미지가 <참이슬>에 비해 상대적으로 낮고, <참이슬 fresh>의 출시로 인해 목표 고객인 20대가 이탈되는 문제는 앞으로 <처음처럼>이 극복해야 할 과제이다. 이를 위해 <처음처럼>은 무엇보다 '웰빙 소주'로서의 이미지를 확고히 하기 위한 마케팅 전략을 실행하여야 할 것이다.

  • The change from people's work-centered values to their leisure-centered values leads into the change in their life styles. In the circumstance, people's participation into sports activities seems to be an important means to improve their quality of life. Along with the change of the times, more people take part in water leisure sports including kayak. As a result, people's needs for various designs of water leisure goods are on the rise. In this sense, it is necessary to come up with strategies to actively respond to such a change. In this paper, we proposed a user decision-making support system for designing kayaks for leisure. Based on the previous studies and literatures and a questionnaire survey with consumers, it chose the sensitivity related to design. By conducting factor analysis and evaluation, it drew sensitivity and proposed kayak design layouts in the aspect of customer sensitivity preference. It is expected that the result of this study will be used not only for kayak design, but as a design guide for the equipment of water leisure sports, and will be applied for user-friendly design.

  • Recently, growing up in social and economic development, the lifestyle of Koreans brought many changes in the form of leisure activity and influenced a lot in leisure. In particular, the establishment of the five-day work week increased the leisure time and became popular with family activities. Accordingly, the base of the leisure population expanding, people have an interest in the new way of leisure and the desire is increasing. Camping culture that increasingly take place in the tent camping now is changing into a cultural center to enjoy the camping SUV vehicle. The desire of consumers for the design of the unique exterior and interior caravan increasingly appearing as a major requirement. In this study, we propose a caravan design development strategies to meet the needs of such customers. First analyzes the hypothesis set and to identify the Overview of the caravan, and optimization of use and the problem of the user. Proceed with the design map analysis through classification of the caravan design registered in the KIPO, and proceed to the market research and patented technology to identify and to proceed with the caravan design development strategies for the various products.

  • The boom of housing market lead to build a lot of apartment houses concentrated on the metropolitan area and developing new city in 1980's made 2,000,000 houses. In this time, quality standards could not be satisfied with consumers' desire due to the policy about excessive supply and come from unexpected defects in the complected buildings. In $1980's\~1990's$, It would be performed on the study for defect prevention in apartment houses. It has contributed in no way to the reduction at the rate of the defect outbreak and the solution of consumers' dissatisfaction by flaws. The reason is that the study related defects is not linked and applied by the managing and controlling system, Therefore, the study will be analyzed out defect information occurred on apartment houses of domestic construction and classified by type features. As a result, it will suggest web-based feed-back system for getting systematic information and the practical use.

Evaluation of VMD Sensibility according to Purchasing Psychological Steps and Weights (구매심리의 단계와 가중치에 따른 VMD 감성평가 -의류브랜드를 중심으로-)

  • To improve VMD technology and suggest the comprehensive evaluation method for VMD, this study investigated and compared two methods of VMD evaluations; expert evaluation and questionnaire to consumers. We analyzed VMD factors of 4 stores with the same brand according to purchasing psychological steps of consumers at the purchasing point. The results are following: Customer Attraction and Purchase Stimulus by VMD showed higher scores in road shop than in department stores, while Put-on Imagination and Comparison Process by VMD showed higher scores in department stores than road shop. Visual Satisfaction and Shop Visit Satisfaction increased the purchasing desire of consumers. High-scored VMD shop evaluated by expert had high score in product purchasing intention of consumers. We found out that questionnaire method to consumers or their response is needed for evaluate VMD of shop in terms of analyze possibility of the related to their purchasing intention.

  • Body sizing of has been recognized as an important element affecting the degree of customer satisfaction in the apparel industry. Recent developments in IT technologies have enabled more studies in custom-made apparel systems that comply with the diverse demands from customers in many countries. Diverse methods to obtain personal physical size are being studied. This study estimates the accuracy by developing the system in which the data of length and girth can be calculated through changing a modeling by comparing the data with circular 3-dimensional physical configuration data. This information was computed from the process (such as the conversion to a standardize image) which utilizes the image capture of 2-dimensional three sides (front, side, and rear), contour tracing, and key-node selection and by realizing it in the real world.

  • Having been speed development of information delivery using the mobile phone, it is generalization. The Mobile has one of the importance for their information searcher as tool. 호박의 함량 및 추출시간에 따른 추출물의 품질특성변화

  • 호박은 다른 과채류에 비해 기후조건에 대한 적용범위가 넓고, 한국의 기후 풍토하에서 잠재생산 가능성이 대단히 높은 작목의 하나로 간주되고 있으며, 다른 박과 채소보다 병이 심하지 않고 약재를 살포할 필요가 거의 없으므로 무공해 식품으로도 그 가치가 높은 것으로 평가되고 있다. 최근 국민 식생활 패턴이 고급화 됨에 따라 건강을 중요시하는 소비자가 급증하면서 약품이 아닌 식품으로 인체의 조절기능에 초점이 맞춘 다양한 기능성 식품이 생산되고 있는 실정이며, 이 중 녹황색 채소류의 항산화, 항암효과가 알려지고 있어 늙은 호박을 이용한 새로운 형태의 가공제품은 향후 소비자의 구매욕구를 충동하기에 충분할 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 이러한 호박을 이용하여 가공제품을 생산하기 위한 기초자료로서 추출조건에 따른 품질변화를 모니터링하고자 하였다. 호박의 전처리의 경우 박피유무에 큰 차이가 없으므로 공정단계를 최소화하기 위해 박피를 하지 않고 사용하였으며, 파쇄의 형태는 깍둑썰기(4$\times$4$\times$4㎤)를 하여 추출조건에 사용하였다. 추출온도의 경우 호박자체의 색을 유지하는데 효율적인 95$^{\circ}C$에서 행하였다. 시료에 대한 용매비 및 추출시간에 따른 품질의 변화가 많으므로 시료에 대한 용매비(10, 20, 30, 40 50g/100$m\ell$) 및 추출시간(1, 2, 3, 4, 5 hr)에 따른 중심합성실험계획으로 추출하였다. 추출조건에 따른 추출물에 대하여 수율, 당도, 갈색도 및 탁도를 측정하여 시료에 대한 용매비 및 추출시간에 따른 반응표면분석을 실시하였다. 영향도를 분석한 결과 수율은 추출시간에 영향을 많이 받는 것으로 나타났으며, 총당 및 갈색도는 시료에 대한 용매비에 영향을 많이 받으며 탁도의 경우 두 조건 모두에 영향을 받은 것으로 나타났다. 수율에 대한 최적 추출조건은 호박량 10.03% 및 추출시간 2.89hr일 때 가장 높은 수율로 예측이 되었으며, 갈색도의 경우 호박량 15.21% 및 추출시간 1.65hr에서 최소로 나타났다.
