Research on the Difference in the influences upon consumers' Response Recoveries of Reward Method in the dissatisfaction Situation - Focusing on the Moderating Effects of Reward Timing and Reward Intensity - (불만족 상황에서의 보상방식이 소비자의 반응회복에 미치는 영향의 차이에 관한 연구 - 보상시기와 보상강도의 조절효과를 중심으로 -)

  • An effect of reward program related to promotional activity has the limitation of being concentrated on a short-term performance or of inducing temporary re-purchase. Accordingly, this study verified the influence of reward method upon consumers' response recovery centering on interactive effects of reward timing and reward intensity, in order to expand a research of dissatisfaction situation. As for the objective of this study, first, the aim is to verify the difference in the influence of economic, non-economic, and combined rewards, which are reward methods of dissatisfaction situation, upon consumers' cognitive response recovery and emotional response recovery. Second, the aim is to confirm a moderating role of reward timing and reward intensity in the effect of consumers' response recovery according to reward methods. To design a research, the perfect factor design between subjects in 3X2X2 was used. As a result of major research, first, there was a difference in the influence upon consumers' response recovery depending on reward methods. Second, the influence of reward method upon consumers' response recovery had a difference depending on reward timing. Third, the influence of reward method upon consumers' response recovery had a difference depending on reward intensity. Consumers' response recovery level was confirmed to have the greatest influence in the combined reward. This study has a significance in newly applying the reward timing, in the dissatisfaction situation which is addressed in the general reward program. Through this study, the aim was to support the empirically analytical results of prior researches and to expand its role in several angles.

  • This study is to learn if and how company-consumer identification in regard of Chinese consumers influences the consumers' behavioral responses with their evaluation on Korean products. To be learned also is differential influences on company-consumer identification generated by two different factors of corporate image, which are corporate ability and corporate social responsibility, through Structural Equation Modeling. The results obtained by actual analysis are as follows. First, both corporate ability and corporate social responsibility turn out to be positively influential on company-consumer identification. Second, the company-consumer identification as to the Korean companies displayed by Chinese consumers induces positive influences on Korean products, which in turn induces positive influences on Chinese consumers' behavioral responses. These results suggest that in the future the Korean companies already settled in China not only need to enhance corporate ability but also have to give efforts on corporate social responsibility in order to improve their continuous and long-term relationship with Chinese consumers.

  • This study examines primarily the effects of perceived risk and scarcity massage on consumers in CATV homeshopping. For consumers, the perceived risk is the cause of delaying purchase decision in CATV Homeshopping while scarcity message in the Ad facilitate purchasing intention in the CATV homeshopping. And another important characteristic of consumer which exerts impact on the response of consumer to the Ad and the product is the frequency of purchasing experience. Thus the purpose of this study is to test the effect of 3 factors on consumer's response to homeshopping Ad and product: one is perceived risk, another is scarcity message and the third is consumer's difference in purchasing. And these are defined as independent variables. The responses of the consumer, the dependent variables of this test are measured in three dimensions; 1) the purchasing intention of the product, 2) the attitude toward the Ad, and 3) the attitude toward product of the consumer. 110 housewives are sampled and assigned to 4 experimental groups. All the groups first watched a video-taped homeshopping Ad messages, and then filled up their responses on the administered questionnaire. The results of this study shows as follows: 1) Perceived risk has negative effect to consumer response. 2) Scarcity message has positive effect to consumers response. 3) But especially perceived risk has negative effect to high frequency purchasing experience group. 4) Scarcity message has also negative effect to high frequency purchasing experience group. 5) The interaction effect of perceived risk and scarcity message is most prominent to the consumers of high frequent purchasing experience.

  • This paper tried to analyse the factors influencing consumer trust and the relationships between cause variables and results in Internet Shopping Mall. In order to do so, this paper tried to analyse the trust factors in TV Home Shopping as well as Internet Shopping Mall in terms of cyber markets both. There found six factors : perceived factor before purchasing, perceived factor after purchasing, perceived and emotional factors in the course of purchasing, positive and negative emotional factors after purchasing. These factors are correlated with Internet shopping variables and we can measure how Internet shopping variables can affect trust to the shopping mall. We can compare the trust factors of TV home shopping with those of Internet shopping mall and then we can activate Internet Shopping Mall. More implications of this study and further researches should be discussed in the future research.

  • 본 논문은 스마트그리드 환경에서 경제성 기반의 수요반응 효율을 얻기 위한 EMS 알고리즘 개발에 관한 것이다. EMS 시스템은 전력의 정확한 비용을 소비자에게 노출시킴으로써 전력 사용에 대한 소비자의 사용 패턴을 변화시키고 더 나아가 전력 자원을 효율적으로 배분하고자 한다. 경제성 수요반응은 전기요금의 시간대별 차등 책정을 특징으로 하며 개발된 EMS시스템은 RTP요금제를 바탕으로 실시간(RealTime), 양방향(Two-way), 상시(Economic)측면에서 전력회사와 소비자 모두에게 효율적인 인프라와 서비스를 제공하고자 개발되었다. 본 논문은 AMI기반 제주 수요반응 사업 과제로 개발된 EMS 시스템이며, 주택용(HEMS), 상가용(SMES), 빌딩용(BEMS)로 나누어 전력 소비자에 따른 EMS 알고리즘을 제시하고자 한다.

Identifying Consumer Response Factors in Live Commerce : Based on Consumer-Generated Text Data (라이브 커머스에서의 소비자 반응 요인 도출 : 소비자 생성 텍스트 데이터를 기반으로)

  • In this study, we collected data from live commerce streaming. Streamimg data were then categorized based on the degree of chatting activation, with the distribution of text responses generated by consumers analyzed. From a total of 2,282 streaming data on NAVER Shopping Live -which has the largest share in the domestic live commerce market- we selected 200 streaming data with the most active viewer responses and finally chose the streams that had steep increase or decrease in viewer responses. We synthesized variables from the existing literature on live commerce viewing intentions and participation motivations to create a table of variables for the purpose of the study. Then we applied them with events in the broadcast. Through this study, we identified which components of the broadcast stimulate the variables of consumer response found in previous studies, moreover, we empirically identified the motivations of consumers to participate in live commerce through data.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine consumers' responses to mobile payment services by using a text-mining technique focusing on Samsung Pay as it is used in both online and offline transactions. We conducted text frequency analysis, text clustering analysis, and text network analysis using R programming. The major findings are as follows. First, the most frequently used key words referenced the brand names of the mobile devices, the replacement of traditional wallets and unique functions of Samsung Pay. Second, there was a clear split between positive and negative responses at the macro level. Third, replacement of traditional wallets played a great role in the positive responses and continuous use of mobile payment services. This study provides in-depth understanding of consumer responses toward mobile payment services. It also offers practical implications that may help mobile payment marketers correspond to consumer values and expectations, thus increasing consumer satisfaction.

Effects of Advertising Strategies in Corporate YouTube Channels on Consumer Responses: Focusing on Vlogs (기업의 유튜브 채널에서 활용된 광고 전략이 소비자 반응에 미치는 영향: 브이로그(Vlog)를 중심으로)

  • This study attends to the phenomenon of major domestic corporations advertising their respective brands on official YouTube channels, reflecting the increasing importance of YouTube as a medium for marketing communication. One hundred vlogs of corporations with an official YouTube channel were content analyzed and their banded content attributes, advertising model's characteristics, advertising appeals, creative strategy, and consumer responses were investigated. Results show that the vlogs of employees were generally formulated with information on their colleagues' tasks and interviews. Findings also demonstrate that the characteristics of the model featured in vlogs had the most significant effects on consumer responses. Amongst the creative strategies, the user image had positive effects. However, branded content characteristics and advertising appeal types were found to have relatively weak effects. This research offers a theoretical understanding of the factors that influence consumer responses to the new type of advertising, corporate vlogs, in terms of branded content characteristics and advertising strategies. From a strategic point, it is anticipated that the reinforcement of user image and the utilization of an attractive model will produce positive responses from consumers.
