Results found the evaluation of bi-national products according to purchase routes showed that consumers in offline stores were more favorable than consumers in online stores. In comparison with product categories, necessities were more positive than luxury goods. On the other hand, according to consumer's personal characteristics, consumers with promotion focus tendency perceived brand preference more highly than consumers with preference focus tendency. This study looked at recall competency as a necessary factor for active recall participation by consumers. And identify the components of the recall competency and identify the recall competence factors that influence recall experience. To this end, we examined the recall experience and recall capacity of 1,626 adult consumers in Korea. As a result, five factors of recall participation will, recall related skill, recall policy recognition, subjective knowledge and objective knowledge were derived. As a result of comparing recall competencies among recall experience and non-recall experience, there were statistically significant differences in all competency factors. Recall related skill and subjective knowledge competency were significant factors for recall experience. In order to improve the effectiveness of the recall system, it is important to improve the recall information and increase access to information retrieval in order to increase the recall participation rate by strengthening the recall capacity of consumers.

  • Innovation of genomics technology has recently been extended to Direct To Consumer Genetic Test (DTC-GT) which consumers purchase without requesting the service on medical institutes. In 2016, Korea has introduced the DTC-GT but the market size is small comparing to global market. This study analyzes consumers' purchase intentions and purposes and their influential factors based on 2018 consumer survey. According to the results of binominal and multinominal logistic regression, knowledge after purchase, attitude on medical care benefit, health status are statistically significant on purchase intentions. Purchase purposes are different on age group and related on medical care rather than health care. These results imply that DTC-GT is needed to improve consumer satisfaction, re-purchase and effective care service. This paper is expected to contribute on strategic directions for the new DTC-GT product development.

  • Both industrial interest and academic research are increasingly focusing on the need to institute a business environment whereby Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assumes a major role. It is suggested that four kinds of responsibilities constitute total CSR: economic, legal, ethical, and philanthropic responsibilities. Consumers tend to obtain positive perceptions toward the companies which collectively or partially fulfill these responsibilities. Moreover, the company image transfer process is the influence of consumer attitudes toward certain brands on overall evaluation of the company. To understand the image transfer process, we examine the influence of CSR level evaluation on overall brand evaluation in China, where active competitions among global brands exist.
