The Effect of Self-consciousness and Materialism on Compulsive Buying and Conspicuous Consumption of American Female College Students (자의식과 물질주의가 미국 여대생의 충동구매와 과시소비성향에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 미국 여대생의 자의식, 물질주의성향, 충동구매와 과시적 소비성향간의 관계에 관하여 조사하는데 있다. 상징적 자기완성이론을 이론적 근거로 하여 가설을 설계하였으며, 설문지 조사법을 이용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 편의표본추출법을 적용하여 미국 중서부지역의 한 대학교의 여대생 315명을 연구대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, 최종적으로 296명의 응답을 연구결과분석에 이용하였다. Stepwise 회귀분석을 통한 분석 결과 공적 자의식은 물질주의성향과 충동구매성향 및 과시소비성향에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 사적 자의식은 과시소비성향에 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 단순회귀분석을 통한 분석 결과 물질주의성향과 충동구매성향 및 과시적 소비 성향 간에 정적인 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 자의식, 물질주의성향, 충동구매와 과시소비 성향간의 관계 메커니즘을 증명해 보임으로써, 사회 심리학적 소비자 행동연구에 이론적 틀을 제시하였다. 또한, 본 연구결과는 미국 여대생을 표적 시장으로 하는 기업이 표적소비자의 소비행동과 심리를 이해하는데 중요한 자료로 이용될 것으로 기대된다.

Consumer Consciousness Toward Well-being Trend and Well-being Behaviors (웰빙트랜드에 대한 소비자의식 및 웰빙행동)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the well-being behaviors and the consciousness toward well-being trend. The well-being behaviors were composed of 4 dimensions such as regular exercise, purchase the organic agricultural products, use of the air cleaner, and diet for health. The consumer consciousness toward well-being trend was composed of 3 factors such as the marketing criticism, the pursuit of mental richness and orientation for rural life. Especially, the differences of well-being behavior and consumer consciousness toward well-being trend according to socio-demographic variables. The main results were as follows: 1. The well-being trend was extended every consumer, but consumers were not after well-being trends or goods. In addition to consumers thought that well-being trend was stoked by marketers. 2. The well-being behaviors and consumer consciousness were statistically different among groups by the socio-demographic variables.

A Study on Consumer Consciousness and Purchasing Tendency on Pet Fashion Products(Dog Clothes) (펫패션 제품(반려견 옷)에 대한 소비자의식 및 구매성향에 관한 연구)

  • This paper aimed to provide the basic data on consumers' awareness, behavioral patterns, and purchase methods for pet fashion(dog clothes). Research was conducted in April 2023 among 183 college students from universities in the Gyeonggi-do region. The analysis results are presented below. When asked if they think clothes are a daily necessity for dogs, 74.3% recognized clothes as a daily necessity for dogs. The biggest purpose of clothing for dogs was 'physical health (prevention of cold/heat, etc.)' with 60.1%. 96.7% of the respondents were very positive about the development prospects for the pet fashion industry. 46.4% of the subjects were currently living with a dog, and 30.6% of the subjects have lived with a dog for 'less than 1-3 years'. 93.0% of college students who live with a dog own dog clothes. As for the dog's clothing style, T-shirt styles without a slit were the most common at 33.6%. 81.0% of companion dog owners were found to dress their dogs when going out, and the most common reason was 'physical health (prevention of cold/heat, etc.)' at 76.6%. When purchasing dog clothes, 72.2% of the subjects considered 'fitting with the dog/convenience', and 27.8% were 'focusing on the companion's taste'. As for how to purchase dog clothes, 39.2% chose 'store visits and online purchases', 34.2% chose 'store visits and purchases', and 26.6% chose 'online purchases'. As for the most considered part when purchasing clothes for dogs, 51.9% identified 'design' and 39.2% identified 'material'. 80.7% of respondents said they would increase the purchase of dog clothes in the future.

  • The purpose of this study is clarify consumer problem on the basis of understanding consumer behavior, that is, to make explicit the effect of economic levels and educational background upon consumer consciousness and consumption behavior. The data in this study is from a survey in 1973 by means of a questionnaire of the opinions of 200 housewives of Seoul. The ${\chi}^2$(Chi-Squire) was applied for the statistical analysis of the data and following results were found. Generally consumers lack understanding of economic matters and satisfactory consciousness on matters of consumption life. And there is significant difference among the class on several matters. That is, the lower economic level and educational background are, the lower the understanding of economic matters and consciousness of satisfaction are. So the consumer education must be carried out for lower class of economic level and educational background. And in the present awakening of salers and makers is needed for consumers.

Consumer Consciousness toward Market Opening and Consumer Education Policy (개방화에 대한 소비자의식과 소비자교육정책)

  • The purpose of this was to identify the level of adolescent consumers' knowledge consumer attitudes and consumer needs toward market opening and to investigate the influencing variables Data have been collected through questonnaires with 929 middle school high school university students residents of Seoul The major findings are : 1) The average score of consumer knowledge about market opening was 5.26 on the scale of 1-10 2) Consumer attitudes toward market opening were some positive and differed significantly according to grade sex foreign travel experience economic status comsumer knowledge about market opening. 3) The level of consumer education needs was so high and consumer education needs differed significantly according to grade sex consumer knowledge and consumer attitudes toward market opening. 4) Adolescent consumer needs for government consumer business role were so high and the business role was considered most important.

가전제품용 센서의 인텔리전트화

  • 가전제품은 최근 수년 사이에 급격한 사회정세의 변화와 더불어 소비자의식에 대폭적인 변혁을 가져온 가운데 적절한 가격의 납득이 가는 진짜상품이 요구되는 추세이다. 한편 가전제품에서의 센서(Sensor)기술은, 참으로 성능쇄신의 요소기술을 담당하는 중요한 기술로 센서 그 자체의 고도화$\cdot$다양화에 더하여 마이크로 프로세서를 주체로 하는 지적인 신호처리에 의한 기능과 성능의 향상이 눈부신 바 있으며, 이 두 수레바퀴에 의하여 가전제품용 센서의 인텔리전트시스템이 구성되고 있다. 본고에서는 후자의 신호처리에 의한 인텔리전트화 기술을 지적제어 처리로 간주하여, 센싱 기술에서의 지적제어처리의 자리매김과 구체적인 가전품에서의 응용 예로서 세탁기에 지적제어처리를 탑재하여 기능 향상을 도모한 개발사례를 중심으로 그 개요를 소개한다. 최근의 개발사례로서 세탁기, 에어컨, 냉장고, 청소기 등에 퍼지제어나 뉴럴네트워크, 또한 비선형 처리 등의 응용 예를 표로서 나타내었다. 특히 세탁기에서는 모터의 회전수를 검출하는 회전센서출력의 처리에 의해 다음의 두가지 센싱시스템을 개발하였다. (1) 부하량 검지 시스템 무단계 부하량 검출을 실현하여 검출오차를 약 1/3로 저감시킴과 동시에 에너지 절약(물$\cdot$세제$\cdot$시간)을 도모한다. (2) 언밸런스 건지 시스템 속도감속 성분량 추출에 의한 검출정도 향상과 현행센서 삭제에 의한 코스트 저감을 이룬다.

The Research on the Consumer Consciousness and the Actual Condition of Shape Retention Finished Clothing (의류제품의 형태안정가공에 관한 실태 및 소비자의식)

  • The aims of this research were to suppose the basic data to the producer for more useful manufactures production. 700 pieces of questionnaire were made and 552 pieces of questionnaire were used for this study. The results of this research are as follows ; Many consumers feel uncomfortable to using the unfinished clothing and by the point we could expect the shape retention finish has great possibilities. Just half percent of the people knew about the shape retention finish. So the producer have to do more advertisement for the shape retention finishing and functions. Generally the consumers are satisfied with the shape retention finished clothing.

Clothing Purchase Behavior of Adolescents by the Consumer Awareness (청소년의 소비자 의식과 의복구매행동)

  • To investigate the consumer awareness and clothing purchase behavior of adolescents, questionnaire was administered to 639 middle and high school students in Daegu. The results were as follows. 1. The consumer awareness of adolescents was analyzed to 4 factors. consciousness of right. consumer information, brand-orientedness and responsibility. Respondents were clustered into three groups : utility-oriented group, brand-oriented group, and consumerism-oriented group. 2. Respondents bought their clothes at specialty stores primarily. They used ´products´, ´family's or friends advices´, and ´purchase experiences´ as information sources. The important criteria for selecting clothes were ´design´, ´price´, and ´suitability´ for oneself. Dissatisfactions after purchasing clothes were with ´price´, ´service´, ´sewing´, and ´size´. The complaining behaviors which respondents did mainly were ´telling friends about dissatisfaction with their purchased clothes´, ´asking for change dissatisfying products or asking for refund´ and ´asking for mending´. 3. Information sources were categorized into 3 factors: ´neutral information source´, ´personal information source´ and ´commercial information source´. Criteria for selecting clothes were factor-analyzed into ´harmony´, ´fashion´ and ´management of clothes´. ´The factors of dissatisfactions with purchased clothes were ´appearance´, ´quality´ and ´service´. 4. The differences by the consumer awareness in clothing purchase behaviors among consumer groups : In information sources. criteria for selecting clothes, complaining behaviors. purchasing places. three consumer groups were different significantly.
