  • The changes in the 4th industrial revolution era are not limited to specific sectors, but affect all sectors of industry. Thus all companies are required to respond effectively to changes. Some companies response by adopting cutting-edge ICT and some companies improve the organizational structure, or enhance the competence of individual employees. This study is based on the assumption that the responses to the change in the 4th industrial revolution era should not be uniform, and that the response strategies and priorities should vary according to the characteristics of the companies. The purpose of this study is to suggest both different response strategies and the priority of the responding factors(areas) to small and medium-sized enterprises. Data were collected through the semi-Delphi method. As a result of data analysis, the priorities of the medium-sized enterprises were as follows: introduction of IT-strengthening the competence of the individuals - establishing technology infrastructure-improving organizational structure - efficiency of work - improving organizational culture. While the priorities of the response factors(area) of the small-sized companies were as follows: strengthening the competence of the individuals - efficiency of work - introduction of IT - establishing technology infrastructure - improving organizational structure - improving organizational culture.

  • '채석(quarrying)'산업은 노천광산에서 광물을 캐내는 작업을 모두 포함하는 광범위한 산업을 의미한다. 1900년대에 들어오면서 채석작업에 홈연소기(channel burner)을 이용한 불꽃절개법(flame cutting)이 이용하여 근로자의 먼지 노출이 많이 감소하였다. 채석작업으로 인한 주 된 건강문제는 먼지, 소음, 진동 노출이며, 노천작업장으로 작업환경이 개방되어 있어 환경측정 및 관리가 불가능하므로 개별근로자의 먼지와 소음 노출 측정 및 예방이 중요하다. 본 연구는 미국의 일개 채석회사의 근로자 건강관리사업을 평가하였다. 연구자료는 저자가 현장 방문을 통하여 구한 자료와 연구대상 회사의 안전관리자의 의견 및 미국 산업안전보건국 전산자료를 이용하였다. 채석사업장에서 이루어지는 작업은 크게 채석작업과 실내에서 이루어지는 가공작업 및 운반과 보관이며, 미국 산업안전보건국(OSHA)의 표준산업분류(SIC)에서 1411(채석업)과 3281(채석가공업)에 해당한다<표 1>. 연구 대상 사업장에서 이루어지는 산업보건프로그램은 먼지 노출 예방을 위해 석재 채취시 물분사법(water jet quarrying)과 국소환기법을 사용하고 소음 노출 예방을 위해 귀마개를 사용하며 사고 예방을 위하여 안전모와 철모, 보안경, 안전조끼, 보호장갑, 안전끈(harness)을 착용하였다. 평가 결과로 나온 연구 대상 사업장에서 적용하여야 할 산업보건 프로그램은 첫째, 먼지 노출로 인한 건강문제를 예방하기 위하여 근로자 개별 노출 측정을 하고, 둘째 실내가공작업장의 근로자를 대상으로 한 먼지와 소음 노출 측정 및 환경측정이 필요하며, 셋째 안전관리를 위해 채석장에 안전표지판을 설치하여야 하며, 실내가공 작업장의 자동이동시스템을 작업별로 채색하여 식별을 용이하게 하여야 하겠다. 또한 이 연구 결과를 영세사업장의 산업간호프로그램인 'Clean 3D'사업에서 적용하여 우리나라 채석사업장 근로자 건강관리를 발전시켜야 하겠다.

  • This study suggests the direction of management theory education in business administration under the university-linked program of Korean work and study in parallel policy. As a social science, business education is essentially to cultivate people of talent capable of making the right decisions in the social phenomenon (business practices) rather than educate skills for solving a specific issue. At the same time, the parallel system is aimed at cultivating talented people who can work practically in the real field. Therefore, practical education and theoretical education should be linked organically, and the theoretical education should be layered. Also, management education should be guaranteed to be timely and cultivate fusion thinking. Based on this background, this study is expected to contribute to the upgrading of the parallel system and education level in the future by reviewing the curriculum of the business administration department of domestic universities.

An Analysis on Organizational Effectiveness and Survey on the Factors of Satisfaction/Dissatisfaction of Learning Workers' Perception in Degree Apprenticeship (일학습병행제 학위연계형 학습근로자의 조직유효성 인식분석과 만족/불만족요인 실태조사)

  • This study investigated the perception of the learning-workers' organizational effectiveness. They participate in the degree-linked work-learning parallel system. As a result, the turnover intention and job performance were higher than those of general office workers, and organizational commitment was lower. In addition, the higher scholastic year and grades, the higher job satisfaction. the higher grades, the lower burnout. specially the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders showed higher turnover intentions than the first grader. The results of the survey of (dis)satisfaction factors of learning workers also show that OJT management in the field should be strengthened rather than OFF-JT education in universities. This paper suggests that companies participating in the work-learning parallel system need higher-level management in aspects such as educational supports, personnel management, and OJT management as well as competency development of learning-workers. It shows that supplementary measures are needed for learning time and learner management of participating companies.

  • This study analyzes the performance of flipped learning, an offline class method conducted in a degree-linked work-learning parallel system. Training in the work-study parallel system, which is conducted as part of job competency improvement, has thoroughly adhered to the offline method, but in line with COVID-19, unlike before, it is changing in the direction of using the online method more actively. However, educational methods such as flipped learning are not new because the degree-linked operation is applied to the academic system and education method of universities and is practically the same form as general university education. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the educational performance and complementary points of flipped learning, which has recently been expanded in the degree-linked work-study parallel system, considering the characteristics of this system, in which classes are held only on weekends. As a result of statistical analysis based on the survey, some of the outcomes of flipped learning have been confirmed, and in order to increase the performances, it is necessary to continuously seek out specific measures to encourage learning and expand communication between instructors and students.

The Effect of Customer Experience on Export Performance in Overseas Marketing of SMEs: Moderating Effects of the Personal Contacts and Agility (중소기업의 해외마케팅에서 고객경험이 수출성과에 미치는 영향: 인적접촉과 민첩성의 조절효과)

  • As the digital era accelerates, traditional perspectives have limitations in explaining the success or failure of export performance. The purpose of this study is to analyze new factors affecting export performance from the perspective of customer experience, which has emerged as an important factor in securing a competitive advantage and generating organizational performance. After deriving hypotheses based on literature review and discussion, a research model is designed in which three factors of customer experience such as understanding customer's objectives, customer value creation capability, and customer journey management are the antecedents, and export performance is the dependent variable. This model also includes organizational agility and personal contact as the moderating variables. To verify the hypotheses, multiple regression analysis was conducted on the collected data drawn from 198 SME exporters. According to the analysis results, it was found that all three antecedents positively affected export performance. In particular, the organizational agility and personal contact were confirmed to have a moderating effect that creates better export performance by interacting with customer value creation capability. The theoretical significance of this study is to find that effective customer experience management can be a key factor in creating export performance. The results suggest that checking the overall customer journey, exporters should select and intervene to intensively manage key touch points that can have a decisive impact on the quality of customer experience. At the end of the paper, practical implications to be considered in creating export performance through effective customer experience management are presented.

Factors Influencing the Academic Achievement of Student Workers (학습근로자의 학업성취도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to analyze the impact of vocational training received by learning workers through the degree-linked work-study program on their learning outcomes. Specifically, we explore the causal relationship between various factors considered during university degree program admission and selection, and the average GPA (Grade Point Average) after admission. To achieve this, we conducted regression analysis and variance analysis using historical admission data and GPA records of 976 students from three undergraduate programs at a domestic K university that implements the degree-linked work-study model. Additionally, we included company information from publicly available databases that could potentially influence the academic performance of learning workers. Our analysis revealed significant causal relationships across various factors, including the classification of the high school attended, gender, family background, subject-specific grades in high school, duration of employment at the company, and age at the time of admission. Based on these findings, we anticipate that universities operating similar degree programs can enhance their selection procedures for learning workers. Furthermore, the results of this study can serve as foundational data for future policy recommendations related to degree-linked work-study programs.

  • The purpose of this study is to present an alternative improving the efficient and reasonable of the physical distribution system management is influenced by many factors. Therefore, the study depends on the documentary method and survey method to achieve the purpose of this study. The major components of a physical distribution system are refers to as elements, include warehouse·storage system, transportation system, inventory system, physical distribution information system. The factors used in this study are ① factor of product(quality·A/S·added value of product·adaption of product·technical competitive power to other enterprises), ② factor of market(market channel·kinds of customer·physical distribution share), ③ factor of warehouse·storage(warehouse design·size·direction·storage ability·warehouse quality), ④ factor of transportation(promptness·reliability·responsibility·kinds of transportation·cooperation united transportation system·national transportation network), ⑤ factor of packaging (packaging design·material·educating program·pollution degree measure program), ⑥ factor of inventory(ordinary inventory criterion·consistence for inventories record), ⑦ factor of unloaded(unloaded machine·having machine ratio), ⑧ factor of information system (physical distribution quantity analysis·usable computer part), ⑨ factor of physical distribution cost(sales ratio to product) ⑩ factor of physical distribution system(physical distribution center etc). The implication of this study can be summarized as follows: ① In firms that have not adopted a systems integrative approach, physical distribution is a fragmented and often uncoordinated set of activities spread throughout various functions with function having its own set of priorities and measurements. ② The physical distribution is recognized as more an important strategic factor than a simple cost reduction factor, ③ It can be used a strategic competition tool to enterprise.

Capital Structure's Mean-Reversion and Long-Term Equilibrium (자본구조의 평균회귀현상과 장기균형)

  • This paper empirically examines whether firms engage in a dynamic adjustment process toward target capital structure and, whether there is a target capital structure or mean reverting using the partial adjustment model while allowing for costly adjustment. Also we investigate the empirical determinants of optimal target capital structure in long term equilibrium. As a result, our empirical model captures at least several important features of capital structure behavior for Korean listed firms. First, Korean firms pursue target capital structure and also there is mean reverting phenomenon. Second, Non-Chaebol and small firm in adjustment speed is faster than Chaebol and large firm. Third, even capital market restricts the adjustment speed interestingly. Fourth, Korean firms have target behavior according to a degree of observed gap. Fifth, Korean firms close about one-fourth of the gap between their actual and target debt ratios within one year and thence targeting behavior explains far more of the observed changes in capital structure than market timing or pecking order considerations. Sixth, capital market is significant in determining optimal capital structure.

Methods to Introduce Criminal Remedies to Enahnce Effectiveness of Administrative Technology Misappropriation Investigation (기술침해 행정조사의 실효성제고를 위한 분쟁조정 방안 -형사적 구제방안을 중심으로-)

  • Small and medium-sized enterprises ("SMEs") are vulnerable to trade secret misappropriation. Korea's legislation for the protection of SMEs' trade secrets and provision of civil, criminal, and administrative remedies includes the SME Technology Protection Act, the Unfair Competition Prevention Act, the Industrial Technology Protection Act, the Mutually Beneficial Cooperation Act, and the Subcontracting Act. Among these acts, the revised SME Technology Protection Act of 2018 introduced the "administrative technology misappropriation investigation system" to facilitate a rapid resolution of SMEs' technology misappropriation disputes. On September 27, 2021, Korea's Ministry of SMEs announced that it had reached an agreement to resolve the dispute between Hyundai Heavy Industries and Samyeong Machinery through the administrative technology misappropriation investigation system. However, not until 3 years and a few months passed since the introduction of the system could it be used to resolve an SME's technology misappropriation dispute with a large corporation. So there arose a question on the usefulness of the system. Therefore, we conducted a comparative legal analysis of Korea's laws enacted to protect trade secrets of SMEs and to address technology misappropriation, focusing on their legislative purpose, protected subject matter, types of misappropriation, and legal remedies. Then we analyzed the administrative technology misappropriation investigation system and the cases where this system was applied. We developed a proposal to enhance the usefulness of the system. The expert interviews of 4 attorneys who are experienced in the management of the system to check the practical value of the proposal. Our analysis shows that the lack of compulsory investigation and criminal sanctions is the fundamental limitation of the system. We propose revising the SME Technology Protection Act to provide correction orders, criminal sanctions, and compulsory investigation. We also propose training professional workforces to conduct digital forensics, enabling terminated SMEs to utilize the system, and assuring independence and fairness of the mediation and arbitration of the technology misappropriation disputes.
