The Load Estimation Algorithm of the Drum Washing Machine using an Inertia Estimator (관성 추정기를 이용한 드럼 세탁기의 부하추정 알고리즘)

  • Generally, the operating efficiency of the washing machine is mostly affected by the washing time. The washing time is determined by the amount and the type of the laundry. Although the type of the laundry is easily inputted by the user, but the amount of the laundry is difficult to do. For this reason, the specific process is existed for the estimation of the laundry and the time of the washing mode is determined by the estimated laundry. Therefore, this paper proposes the washing load estimation algorithm by the inertia estimator. The proposed algorithm is implemented on the PMSM drive using the low cost position sensor for practical washing machine application. The proposed algorithm is verified by the drum washing machine for the practical load condition test.

  • Most studies of rotary machinery design have been performed to establsih a new mechanism or a dramatic combination of machine elements for the power transmission. Although the rotary machine is worked very efficiently, that still has a major work to better performance which is the optimization of the selected mechanism for the mechanical efficiency, low vibration and noise, or customer interest. This work presents a practical approach used for washer's efficiency and machinery vibration and noise reduction along with a systematic procedure. Also for the confirming the study, a computer simulation program and a real working mock-up are developed and used to show very good agreement with the analytical result.

드럼세탁기의 Weight Balance 최적설계

  • 드럼세탁기에 있어서 weight는 세탁기의 진동 및 소음에 중요한 역할을 한다. 기존 pulsator 세탁기는 액체밸런스를 사용하여 세탁물의 편심을 상쇄시켜 세탁기의 진동을 억제시키지만, 드럼세탁기는 주물이나 시멘트 등을 weight balance로 사용하고, 세탁기 구동부의 무게, damping system 등과의 상호작용으로 세탁기의 진동을 억제시킨다. 본 연구에서는 Ideas-Design의 Master Molder와 Assembly을 사용하여 드럼세탁기의 weight balance을 설계한다. 이와 같이 weight balance는 드럼진동 및 소음 뿐만 아니라 세탁기의 전체 무게에도 매우 큰 영향을 미친다.

  • The random pulse width modulation(RPWM) in inverter-fed induction motor drive is presented. This paper describes a RPWM method based on space vector PWM strategy for shaping the switching noise spectrum in such a way it can merge with the natural system noise. To verify the validity of the proposed RPWM scheme, the experiment based on the DSP56F803 microprocessor was executed finally, the simulation and experimental results will be given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the unposed RPWM scheme.

  • 현재 저소음, 고효율 시스템의 요구로 인해 가전제품에 인버터 기술을 채용한 제품 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 인버터 제품은 기존 On/Off 제어에 비해 제어 알고리즘이 복잡해지고, 그에 따른 개발 기간이 늘어난다. 이에 새로운 시스템에 대한 제어 알고리즘을 용이하여 개발하기 위해 PC Interfacing 기술을 이용하여 제품개발이 많이 이루어지고 있다. [1][2] 본 연구에서는 3상 사인파 통전 방식이라는 신방식인버터 세탁기를 개발하는데 있어서, 선행적인 세탁 알고리즘 개발 및 새로운 Sensing 방법 개발 모터 구동로직 개발의 효율성을 높이는데 필요한 Tool 개발 사례를 보여 주고자 한다.

  • The washing machine needs high torque for large load variation, Interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) is proper to adapt the washing machine system. However, IPMSM can operate the lower output power than the other permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) when the motor control by the conventional control. This paper suggests adaptive motor control for IPMSM and experiments the washing machine system.

  • 본 연구에서는 회전운동을 제어하기 위한 새로운 작동기로서 전기장에 대하여 매우 빠른 응답특성을 갖고 있는 두 쌍의 실린더형 ER(electro-rheological) 클러치/브레이크 작동기를 제안하였다. 자체조성 된 ER유체의 빙햄특성 모델을 실험적으로 도출하였으며, 이와 연계한 작동기 모델을 구성하여 전기장에 따른 전달 및 제동 토크를 해석한 후 알맞은 크기의 클러치/브레이크 작동기를 제작하였다. 제작된 작동기의 동적특성(시상수 등)을 작동기 모델에 고려하기 위하여 계단입력 전기장에 따른 과도응답 실험을 클러치와 브레이크 모드에서 각각 수행하였다. 제안된 작동기의 응용성을 보이기 위하여 두쌍의 작동기로 구동되는 실험실 차원의 소형 와권식 세탁기 시스템을 구성한 후 동적지배방정식을 유도하다. 각 작동기와 연계된 PID제어기를 설계하여 세탁과 탈수시의 회전운동을 제어하였으며, 부하질량의 변화에 대한 작동기 시스템의 제어 효율성과 장시간 운전을 통한 제어 내구성 실험을 수행하였다.

  • The aim of this study is to protect workers and pedestrians from accidents at night or bad weather by attaching optical fiber to existing safety clothing that is made only with fluorescent fabrics and retroreflective materials. A safety vest was designed and manufactured by applying optical fiber, and energy-harvesting technology was developed. The safety vest was designed to emit light using the automatic flashing of optical fibers attached to the film, and an energy harvester was manufactured and attached to drive the light emission of the optical fiber more continuously. As a result, first, the vest wearer' body was recognized from a distance through the optical fiber and retroreflection, which helped prevent accidents. Thus, this concept helps in saving lives by preventing accidents during night-time work on the roadside or activities of rescue crew and sports activities, or by quickly finding the point of an accident with a signal that changes the optical fiber light emission. Second, to use the wasted energy, a piezoelectric-element power generation system was developed and the piezoelectric-harvesting device was mounted. Potentially, energy was efficiently produced by activating the effective charging amount of the battery part and charging it auxiliary. In the existing safety vest, detecting the person wearing the vest is almost impossible in the absence of ambient light. However, in this study, the wearer could be found within 100 m by the light emission from the safety vest even with no ambient light. Therefore, in this study, we will help in preventing and reducing accidents by developing smart safety clothing using optical fiber and energy harvester attached to save lives.
