동굴에는 석회동굴 그밖에 용암굴과 파식굴 등으로 구별되는데 그 대부분은 석회동굴이다. 석회동굴인 경우 이의 생성과정과 그 특성을 보면 다음과 같다. 지표면에 내린 빗물은 땅속에 스며들어가 지하수류를 이루어 투수층을 따라 흘러 빠져 들어간다. 이때 이 공동이 동굴이 되는데 공동의 천정면에서 떨어지는 물방울이 그 위 지층에서 석회암층을 스며 내릴 때에는 석회질이 용해된 물방울이 공동천정에서 고드름 모양으로 종유석을 발달시키거나 또는 공동바닥에 떨어져 석순을 성장시킨다. 이것이 석회동굴이다.(중략)

디지털 혁명과 새로운 매체환경 변화로 이제 잡지산업은 잡지언론으로서의 역할과 지식산업으로서 성장하기 위한 새로운 전략이 요구되는 시점에 서 있다. 컴퓨터와 정보통신의 결합은 새로운 공동체와 새로운 소통양식을 낳았다. 특히 새로운 소통양식에서는 개인 정보 발신자를 등장시켰는데 독립웹진이 그 예라 할 수 있다. 송신측면에서는 단일 거대 미디어 업체가 정보내용과 정보유통을 독점하는 구조가 흔들릴 수 있다.

이동통신과 인터넷의 발달은 시간과 공간에 구애받지 않고 인터넷에 접속하여 각종 서비스를 이용하는 무선 인터넷 시장이 도입 및 성장단계에 진입하도록 만들었다. 아직은 기술적, 물리적으로 많은 제약이 있지만 이러한 문제는 곧 해결되리라 예상하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 무선 인터넷에 관련된 기술을 알아보고 무선 인터넷 구축방법과 아울러 무선 인터넷의 기술혁신에 관하여 연구하였다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the physical growth and developmental status of infants and children of married immigrant women. Methods: The participants were 92 infants and children aged from birth to 6 yr whose mothers were married immigrant women living in one rural area. Physical growth and developmental status were evaluated by using anthropometric assessment, and Korean Denver II developmental screening test. Results: Of the participants, 10.8% were below the 3rd percentile for weight, 13.0% for length, 5.4% for head circumference, and from 69.6% to 79.3% were distributed below the 50th percentile on growth charts. Further, 18.5% were classified as having questionable development. Factors related to low physical growth in infants and children were mother's weight and mother's level in Korean language classes. Conclusion: The physical growth and developmental status of children is vulnerable and serious. The study results suggest a need for regular growth and developmental evaluations. Political support is important for these mothers. In addition, there also is a need to develop early intervention strategies to promote growth and development of the infants and children of these married immigrant women.

This study is to identify the characteristics of the growth and deveolpment, and to assess Obesity Index, BMI and Kaup Index of infants paticipated in a healthy breast-feeding contest. The subjects of this study were 94 breast- feeding infants, ages from 6 to 8 months. Their weight and height were measured and compared with Korean Standards. Their developmental state was tested by DDST(Denver Develop- mental Screening Test) standardized in Korea. The data were analyzed by using the SPSS-WIN 10.0. The result is as follows : 1. The weight of infants was more than Korean Standards, but the height was less. 2. There were statistically significant differences in Obesity Index, BMI and Kaup Index. Obese infants estimated by Obesity Index were about 10％, but by BMI and Kaup Index were 35.1％ and 27.7％. 3. Spearman's rhos of Obesity Index and Kaup Index, Obesity Index and BMI, and Kaup Index and BMI were individually 0.526, 0.528 and 0.753. In conclusion, BMI should be added to the criteria for assessing healthy breast-feeding infants.

Recent advances in cell biological and genetic researches have revealed that mitochondrial morphology is highly dynamic and regulated by multiple molecular factors including dynamin-related proteins (DRPs). Considering that the mitochondria play critical roles in the cellular metabolism via ATP synthesis, calcium homeostasis in cooperation with endoplasmic reticulum, and apoptosis, the failure of mitochondrial dynamics is infrequently related to the failure in the normal growth and cellular integrity. In this respect, alteration of mitochondrial dynamics may greatly affect the development of nervous system. In this short review, we discussed molecules involved in the control of mitochondrial dynamics, and provide some perspectives on their significance in the neuronal development.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify suicidal ideation in high school students in urban and rural areas. Methods: For this research two urban and two rural high schools in four cities were chosen. The participants were 713 students (373 in the urban area, 340 in the rural area). The survey was conducted from June 1 to July 31, 2012. Data were analyzed with chi-square test, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression using SPSS 18.0. Results: Results showed that 19.5% of respondents had suicidal ideation within the past 1 year. There were significant differences in suicidal ideation and developmental assets between the two areas. Multiple regression analysis revealed that support, school violence, gender, family abuse, constructive use of time, and positive identity were significant predictors and explained 26% of suicidal ideation for high school students in urban areas. On the other hand, in rural areas, family abuse, gender, positive identity, smoking and empowerment were significant predictors and explained 31% of suicidal ideation. Conclusion: The findings indicate that implementation of a suicide prevention program in which consideration is given to these factors, and taking into account differences between urban and rural students would be helpful in reducing suicidal ideation.
