Purpose In the adult emergency department of a university hospital, we investigated the frequency of major discrepancies between the preliminary reports by radiology residents and the final reports by certified radiologists. Materials and Methods Based on CT and MRI scans obtained between December 2016 and November 2019, we selected cases with diagnoses or treatment plans that could be changed due to discrepancies between preliminary and final reports and classified them by the type of discrepancy. We also examined the distributions of the major discrepancies and stratified them by residents' working time zone, experience, and subspecialty. Results Based on the 72137 preliminary reports evaluated, 1348 tests (1.9%) showed major discrepancies. Most of the major discrepancies were false negatives (72.0%), followed by misdiagnosis (26.3%) and false positives (1.7%). Acute findings (87.2%) were more common than non-acute findings (12.8%). The major discrepancy rate increased toward the second half of the 24-hour shift, with the highest rate of 2.9% occurring between 2 am and 4 am. The major discrepancy rate did not vary with experience, and it varied from 0.6% to 4.5% for each subspecialty. Conclusion The major discrepancy rate was less than 2%, and it increased with longer working hours during a 24-hour shift.

As Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) became a pandemic, most nursing departments in Korea implemented online non-face-to-face practices rather than the existing practice method. This study was a qualitative study that analyzed the reflection diaries written by participants to understand what they experienced in the online non-face-to-face adult nursing practice process. The online non-face-to-face adult nursing practice was 90 hours for two credits and nine hours per day for a total of 10 days. This online practice consisted of computer-based simulation practice, computer-based nursing skills practice, video and educational material production, real-time online quiz, online lecture video, and discussion. As a result of analyzing the reflection diary, six categories, 13 subcategories, and 33 codes were derived. The six categories were 'Experience of various situations', 'Experience of new study', 'Fulfillment for the clinical practice', 'Building relations with professors', 'Fear of being a pre-nurse', and 'Ambivalence for the non-face-to-face practice'. These results are significant in that in the post-corona era, adult nursing practice was conducted as a non-face-to-face practice rather than a clinical practice institution, and various educational methods were operated. This study is expected to provide important basic data for the development and operation of non-face-to-face adult nursing practice.

The cervical spine of anteroposterior oblique view is essential to observe the intervertebral foramen(IVF). The morphologic changes of IVFs were proved to be abnormal with nerve roots and peripheral structures. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effective projection angle for observing the IVFs in the Korean adults. In a prospective clinical study of 100 normal persons, $45^{\circ}$, $50^{\circ}$ and $55^{\circ}$ oblique views were compared by measuring the maximal transverse diameter of all the cervical IVFs. $45^{\circ}$ oblique views provided slightly better visualization of upper cervical level(C2-C3, C3-C4, C4-C5), but the lower cervical level(C5-C6, C6-C7, C7-T1) of IVF transverse diameters were substantially increased on the $55^{\circ}$ AP oblique projection. In the comprasion of mean differences between 8 obese person(BMI > 25) and 58 normal person(18.5 < BMI < 22.9) proved to be statistically not significant. Consequently this study shows that $55^{\circ}$AP oblique(tube angle $15^{\circ}$cephalad) view is optimal for evaluating the lower cervical IVFs.

There are numerous image processing systems these are usually depend on high performance processors. However, systems using high performance processors might not be proper to mobile applications or low-power systems. Therefore, more efficient methodology for image processing is required for variable applications. This paper proposed pre-processing method using intra prediction concept in order to reduce processing range in a image picture(frame) and entire processing time. Also, the system configuration based on intra prediction hardware core and implementation result of the hardware core are presented in this paper.

Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare condition that usually occurs in children and commonly affects the skeletal system. It is extremely rare in adults, especially in the clavicles. In this report, we describe a pathologically confirmed case of LCH in the clavicle of a 50-year-old male. We report various radiological findings, such as plain radiography, CT, MR, and PET-CT, along with a review of the literature.

본 논문에서는 ASM(Active Shape Model)과 상태 기반 모델을 사용하여 동영상으로부터 얼굴 표정을 인식하는 방법을 제안한다. ASM을 이용하여 하나의 입력영상에 대한 얼굴요소 특징점들을 정합하고 그 과정에서 생성되는 모양 파라미터 벡터를 추출한다. 동영상에 대해 추출되는 모양 파라미터 벡터 집합을 세 가지상태 중 한 가지를 가지는 상태 벡터로 변환하고 분류기를 통해 얼굴의 표정을 인식한다. 분류단계에서는 분류성능을 높이기 위해 새로운 개체 기반 학습 방법을 제안한다. 실험에서는 새로이 제안한 개체 기반 학습 방법이 KNN 분류기보다 더 좋은 인식률을 나타내는 것을 보인다.

Spinal ependymomas are generally located in the intramedullary compartment in adults. Intradural extramedullary spinal ependymomas are extremely rare. Spinal ependymomas show various contrast enhancements on MRI. In this study, we report a rare case of a 52-year-old female who had a pathologically confirmed intradural extramedullary ependymoma that showed no enhancement on MRI.

Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the effects of video-audio information provision on physical discomfort, anxiety and nursing satisfaction of the clients for gastroscopy. Methods: The study design was nonequivalent control group pre-post test design. The subjects were 50 patients who visited H hospital health examination center for gastroscopy. Video-audio information developed by the authors was used as educational material for the treatment group. The data were collected between September 15 and November 15, 2010. The study instruments were the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, the Physical Discomfort Scale, and the Nursing Satisfaction Scale. Results: The level of anxiety and physical discomfort in the treatment group were not significantly different from that in the comparison group (t=-0.28, p=.781; t=-0.34, p=.741). The level of clients' satisfaction with nursing care in the treatment group was significantly higher than in the comparison group (t=-4.12, p<.001). Conclusion: Use of video-audio information was effective in the increase in satisfaction with care. Therefore, it could be useful in the nursing practice, and be utilized as a way of nursing intervention to improve nursing satisfaction.

Geometries, boundary renditions, loading renditions and mechanical properties are essential for finite element analysis. However it is a very difficult task to obtain In-vivo geometry and mechanical properties of human body. In this study totally 38 kinds of inner organs are segmented using MRI of young male with Korean standard body shape to make a finite element model. And RUS has been used to acquire anisotropic elasticity matrix of the femoral head.

We applied fMRI to examine brain activation during false-belief task in Korean healthy adults. In the first experiment, brain areas including bilateral precuneus, temoporo-parietal junction, left inferior parietal lobule, posterior cingulate, middle frontal gyrus were found during first -order false-belief task. In the second experiment, the left middle frontal gyrus, medial frontal gyrus and right precuneus, middle frontal gyrus, temoporo-parietal junction were activated during second-order false-belief task. These results are compatible with the suggestions that the ways in which adults understand theory of mind stories are universal.
