  • 본 논문에서는 RLCG 전송선로를 가진 Chua 회로에서의 카오스 동기화 방법 및 암호와 통신 방법에 대하여 연구하였다. 두 개의 동일한 Chua 회로에 전송 선로를 두어 RLCG 전송로를 구성한 후 송신부와 전송선로 사이는 구동-결합 동기 이론을, 전송선로와 수신부 사이는 결합 동기 이론을 적용한 동기화 방법을 제시하였으며, 이 동기화된 회로에 암호 통신방법을 적용하여 송신부에서 가산기에 의한 정보 신호와 카오스 신호를 합성하고 수신부에서 정보 신호와 카오스 신호를 분리하는 복조 방법을 제시하였으며, 선로 중간에서 정보 신호를 도청한 것과 수신부에서 복원된 신호를 비교하여 암호화 통신의 성능을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 확률적인 전역 최적해 탐색 방식인 유전알고리즘과 경험적인 최적화 알고리즘인 Tabu 탐색법을 이용하여 실시간으로 적용 가능한 배전계통 선로 재구성 및 커패시터 용량결정 방안을 제안하고자 한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 PC Cluster System으로 병렬처리하여 배전계통의 손실 최소화를 위한 선로 재구성 및 커패시터 용량 결정문제의 최적해 탐색에 소요되는 계산시간을 단축하고, 실시간 지원시스템의 성능 개선을 도모하고자 한다. PC Cluster System은 이용자의 편의를 위해서 MS Windows 환경에서 구축하였고, Visual C++ 환경에서 개발하였다. 제안한 방법의 유용성을 입증하기 위해 참고 문헌의 예제 계통에 적용한 후 종래의 방법과 비교함으로써 제안한 방법이 해의 탐색속도 및 해의 성능면에서 우수함을 입증하였다.

  • This paper describes the implementation of the asymmetric digital subscriber lines(ADSL) interface device function in ATM networks. The function of the ADSL interface devices has been achieved within a type of the ATM switch standard board. The board connected with the ADSL modem process the ATM physical layer function of data transfering asymmetrically. For the implementation of the board, we have modeled a worst case of the subscriber line conditions from the existing investigated results on the impairments such as crosstalk, impulse noise, and some important noises loaded to subscrber line. Also we have performed assessment tests in the full test environments. We have found that the board is met to the standard specification in condition with various test loops and the worst line conditions using an ADLS line simulator. And we confirmed that high-speed multimedia services are performed well with the ATM switch and the ADSL subscriber line. It is evaluted that this board can be used for high quality ADSL services through existed copper subscriber line.

The Directional Coupler Using the Vertical Coupling Structure (수직 결합 구조를 이용한 방향성 결합기)

  • In this paper, the directional coupler with half-power division is designed and fabricated by using the vertical coupling structure based on the CPW transmission-line. Even-mode and odd-mode of the vertical coupling structure can be analyzed by the conventional CPW-line and the CBCPW-line, respectively, with half thickness of the substrate. The directional coupler is designed by using the tefron substrate with the dielectric constant of 2.55 and the thickness of 0.76mm. Manufactured directional coupler has the center frequency of 2.45 GHz and the bandwidth of 66.1%. Also, the return loss and isolation are 19.52dB and 19.47dB, respectively, at the center frequency.

  • The instantaneous voltage drop is occurred when the fault is happened on the nearby feeders. The instantaneous voltage drop is continued during relatively short period. But, the effect of it can be very severe to some sensitive devices. That is, it can be the reason of restart or malfunction of some devices. And these phenomenons can cause the enormous economical damage and shorten the lifetime of the devices. In this paper the device which can compensate the instantaneous voltage drop, is studied. The device injects the voltage to the power system through the series transformer. The validity of the proposed algorithm using peak detection method is verified through the computer simulation and experiments.

  • We, in this paper, have implemented T1, E1 and fractional E1 HDSL(High-bit-rate digital subscriber line) function over an ATM switching system. The maxi$\mu$ loop lengths for subscriber service and cell loss rates to meet the bit error rate of 10$^{-7}$ at transmission of 2B1Q HDSL data E1 rate over existing telephone copper wires in the presence of the significant impairments such as NEXT(Nearned crosstalk), impulse noise, power line noise and longitudinal over the CSAs environment consisting of 26 gauge and 25 gauge unloaded copper telephone lines has assessed. HDSL will intially be used to serve private-DS1, ISDN-BRA, and DLC feeders, later DS1 extension from optic fiber cable. We also present market provision for the HDSL.

UWB Bandpass Filter Using Capacitive Coupling with Cross Resonator ("+"자 공진기와 용량성 결합을 이용한 초광대역 대역 통과 여파기)

  • This article introduces a novel ultra wideband(UWB) bandpass filter(BPF) with sharp roll-off characteristics in stripline structure. The UWB characteristic is basically obtained from capacitive coupled cross resonator. The resonator has ${\lambda}/2$ length. And at the center of the resonator, two stubs are loaded, one is a ${\lambda}/8$ short-circuited stub and the other is a ${\lambda}/8$ open-circuited stub. The two stubs provide two attenuation poles at lower and upper cutoff frequencies. For input and output lines, two identical capacitively coupled lines have been installed to suppress the unwanted signals in the lower and upper stopbands. The filter has been designed for the U.S. UWB band(3.1~10.6 GHz) with two transmission zeros at 2.4 and 11.1 GHz. The filter has been realized with Low Temperature Core-fired Ceramic(LTCC) green tape which has the dielectric constant of 7.8. Measurement results agree well with HFSS simulation results. Insertion loss less than 0.7 dB and return loss better than 14 dB in the pass band have been measured. The group delay in the center frequency is 0.27 ns and the group delay variation within pass band is less than 0.5 ns. The size of the filter is $6{\times}18{\times}0.6\;mm^3$.

High-frequency characteristics of short-wavelength transmission line on polyether sulfone thin film for a realization of transparent flexible wireless communication device (투명 플렉시블 무선통신 소자구현을 위한 PES 박막상의 단파장 선로에 대한 고주파 특성연구)

  • This work presents an investigation of the radio frequency characteristics of an FTLPGS (fishbone-type transmission line employing periodic ground structure) fabricated on PES (polyether sulfone) for the realization of a transparent flexible wireless communication device. According to the results, the FTLPGS on PES showed a shorter wavelength characteristic when compared with a conventional coplanar waveguide. Concretely, the wavelength of the FTLPGS was 1.91 mm at 50 GHz, which was 48.5% of the conventional coplanar waveguide. The bandwidth extraction result showed that the passband of the FTLPGS on PES was 250 GHz. Unlike conventional periodic structures, the characteristic impedance of the FTLPGS on PES also showed a very low frequency dependency. A miniaturization of the RF circuit on the PES substrate was made possible by the FTLPGS on PES having shown characteristic impedance lower than that of conventional transmission lines. These results mean that, with a broadband operation frequency, the FTLPGS on PES is a suitable construction application for the transmission line and distributed passive components.

A Broadband CPS-Fed Yagi-Uda Antenna (CPS 급전 방식의 광대역 Yagi-Uda 안테나)

  • This paper presents a broadband CPS-fed Yagi-Uda antenna. The antenna has a feedline structure much simpler than other Yagi-Uda antennas and it provides more design flexibility in arranging the reflector. To improve the impedance matching, a tapered CPS line is inserted between the thick and thin feedlines. The proposed antenna exhibits the bandwidth of $3.9{\sim}5.9$ GHz (|G| < -10 dB) and the gain of $6.5{\sim}8$ dBi within that bandwidth. At the center frequency of 4.9 GHz, the antenna shows the gain of 7.4 dBi, and HPBW of $98^{\circ}$ along the x-z plane and $73^{\circ}$ along the x-y plane.

Broadband 90° Schiffman Phase Shifter Using Slot-Coupled Lines (슬롯-결합 선로를 이용한 광대역 90° 쉬프만 위상천이기)

  • In this paper, an improved Schiffman phase shifter is proposed using slot-coupled lines. It consists of the typical coupled lines and a simple rectangular slot which is placed in the ground plane underneath the coupled lines. Phase responses of the slot-coupled Schiffman phase shifter are analyzed in consideration of the phase velocity of two independent transmission modes and the characteristic impedance of slot-coupled line. The $905^{\circ}$ Schiffman phase shifters with high impedance ratio is realized at 2.4 GHz, which cannot be implemented with the conventional coupled lines. The measured results show that the bandwidth is around 74.2 % within the phase errors ${\pm}5^{\circ}$. The measured return loss is found to be better than 15.0 dB and insertion loss is less than 1.5 dB over the operating frequency band.
