This study describes the introduction, growth, current practices and future plans of research evaluation services performed in domestic academic libraries, with a view to informing other libraries considering similar endeavours. To that end, in-depth interviews were conducted with four librarians from academic libraries leading in research evaluation services. The contents of the interviews were grouped into five categories including growth, management, and services. The study found that their research evaluation services were launched around 2010 by demands of members of a university or as a library's initiative to expand the existing services for the purpose of enhancing the university's research competitiveness. The research evaluation services have been strengthened by extending the service scope and improving related systems. Also, the study suggests a comprehensive model that can guide the development and operation of research evaluation services.

This study examined two characteristics of library and information science (LIS) journals in Korea through analysis of journal coupling with common authors. This study also illustrated the trend of Korean LIS research in the recent decade. The notable change is that record management and archival studies settle in LIS domain as a major research area. We introduced two indicators, Publishing Preference Index (PPI) and Researcher Attraction Index (RAI), based on the degree of common authors among journals. Both indicators revealed notable changes in author coupling, including reversal of PPIs in some journals, which can be interpreted as proof of changes in their author groups. The RAI analysis, which measured the degree of journals' attractiveness to Korean LIS researchers and author sharing between two journals, illustrated the journals' states in a domain; this result can help find both an isolated journal and strongly bonded journals in the specific domain. Journal coupling with common authors introduced in this study proved to be an effective investigative method for illustrating journals' states in a specified domain as well as a multidisciplinary area.

본 연구는 정보학 분야의 저명한 연구자 T.D.Wilson의 연구주제 분야를 네트워크 분석을 이용하여 해석해보고, 그의 연구는 물론 정보학 분야의 연구주제에 관한 이해를 도모하는 데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 그의 저작을 대상으로 서지결합분석 방법을 이용한 군집 분석을 실시하여 연구주제를 나누어 보고 대표적인 연구주제와 논문, 그리고 인용빈도와의 관계를 규명하였다. 패스파인더 네트워크와 노드엑셀을 이용한 분석 결과, 대표적인 연구주제는 정보행위연구이고 논문으로는 "Human information behavior(2000)"로 나타났다. 더불어 '정보요구'라는 핵심 연구주제 아래 정보탐색, 정보관리, 정보이용, 웹정보에 이르는 정보학 분야의 다양한 연구가 이루어졌음을 알 수 있다.

This study analyzed the trends of home economics research in China by examining the distribution by period, keyword distribution, distribution of researchers, citation frequency, and distribution of research institutions. For this purpose, data collected from CNKI, spanning from 1984 to 2022, resulted in 149 articles selected for final analysis. The analysis conducted using CiteSpace for the bibliometric research method yielded the following results: Firstly, a significant amount of home economics research was conducted between 2018 and 2022, with a notable increase in research in 2015 and 2020. Secondly, the analysis of keyword distribution showed that research centered around home economics education, home economics philosophy, etc., was active, and various research areas formed clusters. Thirdly, the major contributors to China's home economics research were Li, Xiong, Xia, and Wu, who mainly conducted independent research. The research by Li (2006) had the highest citation frequency, and Jilin Agricultural University published the most research among the institutions. This study indicates that despite quantitative growth due to social changes, China's home economics research lacks diversity and consideration of research outcomes. Therefore, participation from scholars, practical application of the discipline, increased government support, and cooperation for future comprehensive and qualitative research are necessary.

This study assesses research patterns and trends of library and information science(LIS) in Korea by applying bibliometric analysis. For the study, 2,400 peer-reviewed publications from 2001 to 2010(including conference proceedings) published by 159 LIS professors in Korea were analyzed by year, author, affiliation and journal. The study findings showed an increasing trend in collaboration(52.75% of total publications with single authors and 47.25% with multiple authors) among LIS professors in Korea, robust publication patterns of Korean LIS faculty(average 1.51 publications per year), and an increasing number in foreign publications(170 publications). The study results also suggested an internationalization of LIS in Korea. Specifically, the study found a higher rate of Korean LIS faculty with foreign degrees than in previous years as well as a higher publication rate of professors with international degrees. The analysis of publication patterns conducted by the study, which is a first step in our aim to establish a multi-faceted approach for assessing the impact of scholarly work, will be followed up with analysis of references and citations to evaluate the quality of publications.

This study is to examine academic phenomena of public administration research field in Korea through analysing the trends of researcher behavior. For the purpose of this study I analysed the types of research performance, reference materials, core journals, and the half-life of reference materials by investigating the articles in Korean Public Administration Review which is one of the major journal in this discipline. The results I found out are the followings: most of researches of the public administration are performed individually by the established academic fellows : researchers show their preference to foreign journals: as for the case of domestic journals, researchers tend to refer the latest issue: the major journal is discriminated from the others by getting a higher points

In order to clarify the trend of study by the researchers in the field of library and information science. This study is to analyze the thesis of library and information science researchers in various aspects which is included in LISA and ISA, the representative database in library and information science. In addition, the study is to analyze the form of citation of domestic library and information science researchers by studying the citation written in the thesis of the database according to the classification of form and nationality. The study made a conclusion that the journal is most frequent]y cited regarding forms, which is expected to promote the internationalization of library and information science and indicate the direction of our study in the future.

This study investigates the development path and intellectual structure of data literacy research, aiming to identify emerging topics in the field. A comprehensive search for data literacy-related articles on the Web of Science reveals that the field is primarily concentrated in Education & Educational Research and Information Science & Library Science, accounting for nearly 60% of the total. Citation network analysis, employing the PageRank algorithm, identifies key papers with high citation impact across various topics. To accurately trace the development path of data literacy research, an enhanced PageRank main path algorithm is developed, which overcomes the limitations of existing methods confined to the Education & Educational Research field. Keyword bibliographic coupling analysis is employed to unravel the intellectual structure of data literacy research. Utilizing the PNNC algorithm, the detailed structure and clusters of the derived keyword bibliographic coupling network are revealed, including two large clusters, one with two smaller clusters and the other with five smaller clusters. The growth index and mean publishing year of each keyword and cluster are measured to pinpoint emerging topics. The analysis highlights the emergence of critical data literacy for social justice in higher education amidst the ongoing pandemic and the rise of AI chatbots. The enhanced PageRank main path algorithm, developed in this study, demonstrates its effectiveness in identifying parallel research streams developing across different fields.

In order to understand the author's activities and recent subjects, to examine the academic characteristics of information science through cited pattern and bibliometrics law, and to be basic references for researchers who interested in information science materials, this study was performed by method of bibliometrics analysis of JASIS from the year of 1990 to July, 1993. The materials were 180 papers and 1173 cited literatures of information retrieval which were contained in the issues. These were analysed through SAS and classified as source literature analysis and information retrieval analysis.

In this study, we analyzed the current research state of Library and Information science in top 20 journals from 1990 to 2015, in subject and method perspectives. We developed weighted subject-method network to investigate on centralities of a subject and a method as well as their relations. This network is composed of subject nodes and method nodes and gives a weight on each node by topic occurrence. As a result, for 25 years, management information system, information need analysis, bibliometrics, information policy were top topics. Modeling, literature review, scientific research impact analysis, web data analysis were top methods. A recent rise of text mining is highlighted. We also analyzed communities made from the past 25 years and the recent 5 years. Bibliometrics is extending its field by applying various network analyzing algorithms. Text mining is specialized in medical information system and user interface. This result identifies the interests of excellent studies in Library and Information Science. It also can be fundamental resource for the development of Library and Information Science.
