1920년대 문을 연 서울특별시교육청 소속 공공도서관은 그저 시설과 장서를 갖추고 그야말로 가장 기본적인 서비스만 제공하였다. 그러다가 이용자수도 늘어나고 그들의 요구도 다양해지면서 독서교실을 비롯한 독서관련 프로그램을 운영하게 되었고, 현재는 독서는 물론 취미 교양, 인문학강좌 등 거의 모든 분야에 걸쳐 다양한 프로그램 및 행사를 진행하고 있다. 도서관 및 평생학습관의 프로그램은 기관마다 조금씩 차이는 있지만 대개 독서교실처럼 독서 관련 프로그램들이 주류를 이뤄 왔으나 평생교육프로그램(문화교실)이 기하급수적으로 늘어나면서 교양 취미생활까지 광범위하게 운영되고 있다. 또한 2000년대 중반부터 시작된 도서관 평가에 프로그램 및 행사가 많은 비중을 차지하면서 양적, 질적 성장을 보이고 있다. 여기서는 서울특별시교육청 소속 공공도서관 및 평생학습관의 변천 중 프로그램 및 행사 부문에 대하여 주요 내용과 특색, 성과 등을 대략적으로 살펴보면서 바람직한 방향을 모색해 보고자 한다.

1920년 종로도서관을 시작으로 서울특별시교육청 소속 공공도서관(평생학습관 포함)의 역사는 어언 90여년이 흘렀다. 그간 양적으로나 질적으로 많은 발전을 거듭하였고, 시설, 환경 등 하드웨어적으로나 업무, 이용, 프로그램 등 소프트웨어적으로 과거보다는 효율성, 편의성, 다양성, 복잡성 등이 높아졌다. 또한 과거 관료적 모습도 많이 사라지고 모든 부문에 있어서 이용자 중심으로 변모되었다. 자료조직, 대출 및 열람, 이용자서비스 등 도서관 운영에 있어서도 사회 전반적 발전 및 정보화와 더불어 모든 면에서 격세지감을 느낄 정도로 큰 변화를 가져왔다. 여기에서는 서울특별시교육청 소속 공공도서관 및 평생학습관의 변천 중 자료조직과 이용 부문에 대하여 현재와는 많이 달랐던 그 때 그 시절에 대한 기억들을 더듬어 보고자 한다.

In this study, the fatty acid (FA) composition of commercial sesame oils (n = 62) was investigated using gas chromatography with flame ionization detector (GC-FID). Multivariate statistical techniques, including principal component analysis (PCA) and linear discriminant analysis (LDA), were applied to the chromatographic data of the FAs to discriminate the geographical origin of sesame oils. A statistically significant difference was observed in the content of C16:0, C18:0, C18:1, and C18:2 between domestic and imported sesame oils. A satisfactory recovery rate of 82.8-100.2 % was achieved for C16:0, C18:0, C18:1, C18:2, and C18:3. The correlation of C16:0, C18:1, and C18:2 in domestic sesame oils showed opposite trends compared to imported oils. The PCA plot demonstrated that sesame oils were clustered in distinct groups according to their origin. LDA was used to predict sesame oil samples in one of the two groups. C16:0 (Wilks λ = 0.361) and C18:1 (Wilks λ = 0.637) demonstrated the highest discriminant power for classifying the origin of the samples. The correct prediction rates were 88.9 % and 100 % for the domestic and imported samples, respectively. Further, 60 of the 62 sesame oil samples (96.8 %) were correctly classified, indicating that this approach can be used as a valuable tool to predict and classify the geographical origin of sesame oils.

As the number of spinal surgeries being performed expands, the number of medical imaging procedures such as radiography, CT, and MRI is also increasing, and the importance of their interpretation is becoming more significant. Herein, we present the radiological findings of a variety of complications that can occur after spinal surgery and discuss how effectively and accurately they can be diagnosed through imaging. In particular, this study details the characteristic imaging findings specific to the early and long-term postoperative periods. Early complications of spinal surgery include improper placement of surgical instruments (instrument malpositioning), seromas, hematomas, pseudomeningoceles, and infections in the region surrounding the surgical site. Conversely, long-term complications may include osteolysis around surgical instruments, failure of fusion, adjacent segment disease, and the formation of epidural fibrosis or scar tissue. A precise understanding of the imaging assessments related to complications arising after spinal surgery is crucial to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis, which is necessary to achieve effective treatment.

Virtual reality (VR) provides an immersive and interactive 3-dimensional system, which allows an individual to become immersed in a computer-generated situation. VR technology has been administered in the exposure-based treatment of a variety of psychiatric disorders, including acrophobia, fear of flight, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Furthermore, VR systems have also been developed for the use of research and treatment in addiction. They might have advantages in cue exposure therapy, by increasing the salience of cues, as well as assessments of cue reactivity in addiction. This article summarizes the application of VR in the field of psychiatry. More importantly, it suggests the possibilities of clinical use of VR technology, in the treatment of addiction.

서울인쇄센터와 서울시인쇄정보산업협동조합이 공동주최하고 서울특별시 후원, 한국제지, 한국아그파산업이 협찬한 제7회 서울인쇄문화대상 및 인쇄문화축제가 지난 10월 18일부터 20일까지 3일간 남산한옥마을에서 열렸다. 2006년 이래 서울광장에서 열렸던 인쇄문화축제는 올해 처음으로 남산한옥마을로 옮겨 개최됐다.
