The Effects of Fast-Food Franchisor's Proactiveness, Innovation, Risk-taking on Affective Commitment, Franchisee's External Representation and Service Delivery (프랜차이즈 본사의 기업가 지향성이 본사와 가맹점 간의 정서적 결속과 가맹점의 외부대표와 서비스이행에 미치는 영향: 패스트푸드를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify whether franchisee-perceived franchisor's proactiveness, innovativeness and risk-taking affect franchisee-perceived affective commitment with franchisor, and the affective commitment affects franchisee-perceived external representation and service delivery. Based on total 280 samples obtained from owners or managers of franchise fast-food restaurants in located in Yeongnam province, the research findings are as follows. Firstly, the innovativeness and risk-taking positively affect the affective commitment. Secondly, the affective commitment positively affects external representation and service delivery. But proactiveness does not affect the affective commitment significantly. These findings imply that firstly, franchisor should investigate consumer trends periodically and develop new successful menus and services more than competitors do, and implement new marketing techniques innovatively towards these menus and services. Secondly, franchisor had better adopt high return/risk strategies because of deepened competition and do bold decisions of price change etc. Also, in order to increase proactiveness, franchisor needs to launch new menus and services earlier than competitors and occupy market in advance, which strengthens affective commitment with franchisees. Thirdly, in order to increase affective commitment with franchisees, franchisor needs to match franchisor's value with franchisee's value and same value means same objective. Lastly, limitations and further research directions are also discussed.

A Study on the Impact of Smart Tourism Application Service and Design Concept on the Intention to Continue Using (스마트 관광 애플리케이션 서비스의 효과와 지속 사용 의도를 위한 디자인 컨셉에 대한 연구)

  • The popularization of mobile Internet applications has accelerated the development of smart tourism industry. Based on TAM and VAM theories, this paper studies the influencing factors of tourism App users' willingness to continue using through complex network and data analysis methods. Through the research, it is found that the improvement of service level and design concept of smart tourism application can accelerate the aggregation of complex networks and improve user engagement. At the same time, reasonable price service experience value, convenience service experience value, interactive service experience value, emotional design perception, ease of use design perception, entertainment design perception and other factors can have a direct impact on users' intention to continue to use, and there is a significant correlation. The smart tourism App's convenience and price advantage are the root of its competitiveness. The design concept can affect users' emotional experience and perceptual experience, and help smart tourism App improve users' satisfaction.

An Analysis of the Relationship Between Quality of Service and the Audience Attitude Variables of the Korean traditional opera Performance (창극공연의 서비스품질과 관객태도 변인 간의 관계 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the quality of performance on audience satisfaction, and to verify the mediating effect of service value and traditional image in this process. The subjects of this study included 211 male and female adults who experienced the Korean opera performance in Seoul, Korea in October. Collected data was used as a model of path coefficients obtained through analysis of covariance structure and hypothesis test. As a result of verification, program quality, physical environment quality, and quality of the stage performance perceived by the audience showed a statistically significant positive correlation with performance experience attributes. The path coefficient between performance attribute and service value, performance experience attribute and traditional image were also positively and statistically significant. Further, the path coefficient between performance experience and audience satisfaction showed a positive relationship. The service value and traditional image, service value and audience satisfaction, and the path coefficient between traditional image and audience satisfaction were statistically and positively significant. Finally, all hypotheses were adopted and study results confirmed the effect of service quality and experience attributes on audience satisfaction for the popularization, modernization and marketing strategy of the Korean opera. In this process, it is meaningful to verify the role and function of service value and traditional image.

A Study on Management Strategies and Structural Relationships in the Restaurant Industry Using the Service Profit Chain (서비스이익사슬 모형을 적용한 외식업의 구조적 관계와 경영전략에 관한 연구: 직원과 고객을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically determine the structural relationship between employee constructs such as internal service quality, employee satisfaction, and organization commitment and customer constructs such as perceived value, customer satisfaction, and loyalty to suggest an effective business strategy for restaurant business. To do this, the study consulted with the Korea Restaurant Association, the representative of Korean food service and got the intention of participating in the research from the Daegu branch. As a result, 51 restaurants registered in the Daegu branch who showed their intention to participate were selected as an initial sample. Also, other restaurants were introduced through snow-ball sampling method by the owners of restaurants who finished responding to the survey, and total 100 restaurants were examined. A survey was conducted to external customers who visited restaurants and internal customers working there. For final analysis, 741 questionnaires of internal customers and 970 questionnaires of external customers were used. The result of analysis showed that team-work & communication in internal service quality has a significant effect on employee satisfaction, employee satisfaction on organization commitment, and organization commitment on value perceived by customers. Also, perceived value has a significant effect on customer satisfaction and loyalty, and customer satisfaction on loyalty.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of brand evidence on brand value, brand trust, brand attitude and word of mouth intention. To achieve the purpose of the study, a research model and hypothesis were established based on previous studies, and survey was conducted on 222 passengers who had used the airline. As a result of the analysis, sub-factors of airline brand evidence had a positive impact on brand value. Except for employee services, perceived prices, core services, brand names, and brand logo had a positive impact on brand value. Brand value had a significant positive effect on brand trust and brand attitude. It was also found that brand trust had a significant influence on brand attitude. This study examined the extended range by adding the brand logo as a sub-factor of brand evidence, and it is considered necessary to study including brand emotion in next study.

  • The recent development of industrial marketing explains the near absence of research on brand equity in business-to-business markets. With recent change, industrial companies have shifted from a production focus to a customer focus. Industrial brand concept is rapidly developing. The basic purpose of this study is to investigate industrial brand equity affecting the result of business relationship between industrial buyers and suppliers. This research presented a comprehensive constructive model consisting of components of industrial brand equity, and then propose the research model base on prior researches and studies about relationships among components of industrial brand equity. Data were gathered from respondents who work in industrial buying center. For this study, Data were analyzed by SPSS 11.0 and AMOS 5.0. The results of this research analysis were as fallow. Industrial brand loyalty was positively related with perceived value, perceived quality, brand awareness, relationship satisfaction, switching cost, relationship commitment. Also, Industrial corporate performance and purchasing value was positively related with brand loyalty and relationship commitment.

  • With the revision of the Data 3 Act, the financial MyData industry was created newly. MyData services collect the financial customers' data scattered in various financial companies and provide personalized services such as personal financial product recommendation, personal expenditure advice, etc. Although MyData service started in 2022, but the use of the service has not been significantly activated. This study attempted to analyze the factors affecting the use of MyData services from the perspective of financial consumers through VAM, UTAUT2 model. The factors related to the perceived value and intention to use MyData services of financial consumers were verified using benefit and sacrifice variables. Personal Innovativeness was used as a moderating variable. As a result of this study, it was found that personal product recommendation service has an important influence on the use of MyData services, and personal innovativeness has an effect as a modulating variable. It can be said that it is meaningful as a preceding study in terms of timing because it studied the perceived value of consumers less than a year after the MyData service began. From the practical perspectives, it was possible to show the change direction and marketing points of the MyData service. In practice, it was possible to confirm the direction of the service and the marketing point.

  • The purpose of this paper is to provide values and effectiveness to libraries making a new social network service marketing model and strategy. According to study, when libraries entice library users with social network services, the users become loyal customers who give libraries long-term supports. For method of study, it establishes 15 hypotheses and proves those hypotheses with 157 responders. After inspecting hypotheses, 13 hypotheses are adopted and 3 hypotheses are dismissed. During the research, it is verified that usefulness perceived by library users is the most important factor of user satisfaction and continuous use intention which increased library users' intention to continue visiting the library. In addition, effectivness of marketing and cause are found in order of system quality, information quality, reliability, interactivity, subjective norms. In other words, the study found that library users found their information for using social network services and this attribute affects user satisfaction and ultimately continuous use intention in a positive way.

Perceived Quality of Korean Restaurants Influencing on Satisfaction and Behavioral Intentions - From the Perspectives of Asian Tourists to Korea - (만족도와 행동의도에 영향을 미치는 한식당의 지각된 품질 요인에 관한 연구 - 한국을 방문한 아시아 관광객의 관점을 중심으로 -)

  • The main purposes of this study were to assess Asian travelers' perceptions of service quality provided by Korean restaurants and to identify the relationships among perceived quality, satisfaction, and behavioral intentions. The survey was administered during one-month period of January-February 2009, targeting tourists from China, Taiwan, and Japan who were visiting Korea through escorted tour packages offered by several Korean travel agencies. A total of 223 copies of the questionnaire were collected for the data analyses such as descriptive statistics, factor analysis, MANOVA, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 12.0 program. The main results of this study were as follows: 1) The results of the gap analysis indicated that the service quality in several areas provided by the Korean restaurants did not meet the tourists' expectations; 2) The factor analysis identified four underlying dimensions of travelers' perceptions of overall service quality provided by Korean restaurants ("value and quality of foodservice", "menu choices", "service quality of employees", and "quality of surrounding area"); and 3) Through multiple regression analyses, three determinants ("value and quality of foodservice", "menu choices", and "service quality of employees") were found to have the greatest impact on tourists' satisfaction and behavioral intentions.

  • This study is aimed to systematically grasp the visual and informative needs of sign system and secure the formativeness sample for standardization model. This study, therefore, will help building the requirements to create design value and secure objectiveness for realization of practical use of the communication design plan, and means transference of the external and internal information system of railroad vehicles for practical use into the standardization model. The pictorial sign based information delivery is a communication process and way gained through vision and perception, so that grasping the formative structure connoted in message is not less than understanding the characteristics of the essence. In this study, I defined the symbolic expressions inherent in TTX sign system to be perceptional action and value norms as general signatures and signifiers.
