A Gap analysis of Logistics Functions between Expected Service level and Perceived Service Level (물류서비스 품질에 대한 물류기능별 기대수준과 인지수준에 대한 차이 분석 연구)

  • More manufacturing companies tend to outsource their logistics functions to logistics service providers to ensure their own competitiveness than before. This paper investigates the differences between customer perceptions and expectations on three key logistics outsourcing decisions. For testing logistics service qualities, a research model which employs a SERVQUAL model was developed and a survey targeting manufacturing companies has been conducted. The average difference of logistics service level between customer perceptions and expectations was derived as 8% from a result of gap analyses. The findings here reveal the level of service quality of Korean logistics service providers as well as suggest core capabilities for them in order for gaining a competitive edge on the competitors and improving their performances.

  • IPTV, 인터넷 전화 등 인터넷 가입자에게 제공되는 서비스가 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며, 서비스 종류의 증가와 동시에 통신 사업자가 제공하는 네트워크 속도의 향상에도 불구하고 서비스 사용자의 불만이 증가하고 있다. 이러한 불만의 원인은 인터넷을 이용하는 모든 서비스가 네트워크 자원을 공유하기 때문에 특정 서비스의 품질을 확보하지 못하는 현상의 발생에 기인한다. 따라서 인터넷 사업자의 입장에서는 인터넷을 이용하여 다양한 서비스가 이루어지지만, 해당 서비스의 품질을 확보하는 것이 중요한 과제로 등장하였다. 본 논문에서는 IPTV 서비스 환경과 유사한 실험망 환경을 구축하고, HD급 영상 데이터를 멀티캐스트스트리밍 방송 서비스를 통해 네트워크상에서 트래픽 부하에 따른 IPTV 수신영상품 질의 변화를 살펴보고, 영상품질에 따른 네트워크 측정요소의 임계치를 도출한다.

  • In this paper, researching for the video quality estimation of IPTV in the situation that increase the broadcasting network traffic on the IPTV multicasting service using the ETSI TR 101 290 that is the European digital video quality standard estimating method and present the experiment result. Proving that the intimate relation is between IPTV video quality and ETSI TR 101 290 estimation, also ETSI TR 101 290 can detect the video quality factors which can't be detected by the exist video estimation methods.

  • The concept of Container Terminal Service has been used in respect to port service until now. There is no necessity to distinguish container terminal service by concept or property. The purpose of this study is to develop the most appropriate Service Quality in the container terminal through empirical analysis such as existing theoretical studies, expertise survey and SAS program. It is necessary to show the way of evaluating Container Terminal Service's importance and Service Quality. This study intends to understand overall satisfaction survey by Container Terminal Service's evaluation through Regression Analysis where customer satisfaction will be the dependant variable.

  • 품질이 낮은 정보는 이용자의 호응을 얻지 못할 뿐 아니라 여러 측정하기 힘든 직·간접적인 손실들을 초래할 수도 있다. 따라서 질 높은 지식정보자원의 구축이야말로 국가경쟁력을 넘어 국민의 삶의 질을 향상시키는 기본 요소이다. 지식기반시대에 지식정보의 창출-가공-전달-활용보전을 위한 제반요소의 구축뿐 아니라 질적인 향상을 위한 노력은 지식정보시대를 앞서나갈 수 있는 일로 매우 중요한 일이라 할 수 있겠다. 이러한 이유로 인해 근래에 정보 유동·서비스 분야의 품질향상을 위한 품질경영시스템의 도입에 대한 연구가 진행되어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 지식정보의 유통과 서비스에 있어서 질적인 향상을 위한 노력의 일환으로 지식정보 유통·서비스 야의 품질체계를 확립하는 ISO 9001:2000 인증제도의 도입과 운영에 대한 방향 및 사례를 제시함으로써 지식정보 유통·서비스 품질향상에 도움이 되고자 한다.

Measurement of Mobile Service Quality Based on Local Area Communication Node (근거리 통신 노드 기반 모바일 서비스 품질 측정)

  • The quality of service for the voice and data communication is one of the most important elements in the mobile cellular networks. This quality has the time varying characteristics depending on the wireless network environments. In order to guarantee the quality of service at the predefined level, the mobile service provider needs to collect all the information about the level of quality served by the local base stations. In the conventional method the information on the service quality is measured and collected by the moving vehicle adopting the global positioning device. However this method requires relatively high cost and does not cover all the service areas. In this paper a new method is proposed utilizing a measurement node with local area communication transceiver and the mobile user equipment. In the proposed method the node communicates with the user equipment periodically to monitor the information on the service quality. The resulting information is reported to the measurement server in the mobile network. This method could be applied to either the circuit or the packet based networks. It also has an advantage in terms of the cost efficiency compared to the conventional method considering the required the equipment and the human resources.

  • This study is conducted to investigate the relationships among service quality, satisfaction, and revisit intention of franchise snack bars customers located in Busan. The quality of franchise Korean snack bars' service was estimated by examining three sub-dimensions: service environment factors, interaction factors, and outcome quality factors, which are classified from Brady & Cronin's third-dimensional model. The survey was performed from March 9th to March 13th in 2015. Total 300 questionnaires were distributed and 272 questionnaires were employed for final analysis. SPSS 21.0 program was used to derive the following: factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation, simple regression and multiple regression analysis. In results, the approachableness such as convenience for access was the most important reason when people choose a franchise Korean snack bar company followed by food taste and reasonable price. In addition, the results indicate that service environment quality, interaction quality, and outcome quality have all positive impact on the customers' satisfaction as well as revisit intention. Specifically, outcome quality have the greatest influence on the satisfaction and revisit intention among three service quality factors. This outcome proves that Korean snack bar franchise companies need to investigate more to improve their outcome quality such as food quality and serving time to satisfy customers. In conclusion, current study confirmed the relationships among service quality, satisfaction, and revisit intention in context of franchise snack bar stores. These results will suggest the snack bar foodservice segmentation as valuable marketing strategic, and that it can be utilized as a fundamental data to establish an efficient business plan in the industry.

A Performance Measurement of Premium Service in Differentiated Service Testbed on KOREN (선도시험망에서 트래픽 측정을 통한 차등화 서비스의 성능 평가에 대한 연구)

  • 본 논문에서 는 WAN 환경 에 서 의 선도시험망 기반 QoS테스트베드를 구성하고 차등화 서비스에 의한 QoS의 성능을 측정하였다. 전송율. RTT. 패킷 손실, FTP 소요시간을 대상으로 QoS 보장 서비스와 베스트-에포트 서비스에 대한 성능을 비교 분석하였다. 모든 측정 대상에 대하여 QoS 보장 트래픽이 좋은 성능을 보여주었으며, 특히 멀티미디어 어플리케이션의 비디오 트래픽에 대해서도 QoS 보장 서비스에 의한 전송서비스가 고품질의 영상을 제공하였다.

Development of Metrics to Measure Reusability of Services of IoT Software

  • Internet of Things (IoT) technology, which provides services by connecting various objects in the real world and objects in the virtual world based on the Internet, is emerging as a technology that enables a hyper-connected society in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. Since IoT technology is a convergence technology that encompasses devices, networks, platforms, and services, various studies are being conducted. Among these studies, studies on measures that can measure service quality provided by IoT software are still insufficient. IoT software has hardware parts of the Internet of Things, technologies based on them, features of embedded software, and network features. These features are used as elements defining IoT software quality measurement metrics. However, these features are considered in the metrics related to IoT software quality measurement so far. Therefore, this paper presents a metric for reusability measurement among various quality factors of IoT software in consideration of these factors. In particular, since IoT software is used through IoT devices, services in IoT software must be designed to be changed, replaced, or expanded, and metrics that can measure this are very necessary. In this paper, we propose three metrics: changeability, replaceability, and scalability that can measure and evaluate the reusability of IoT software services were presented, and the metrics presented through case studies were verified. It is expected that the service quality verification of IoT software will be carried out through the metrics presented in this paper, thereby contributing to the improvement of users' service satisfaction.

  • As the coverage of Web services become wider and the number of implementation cases is growing, the importance of applying the Web services quality model to real world is increased. For maintaining the level of Web services qualify, it should be required to study on assurance method of Web services qualify level. Assurance for Web services, which is newly proposed by OASIS TC, means the totality of activities for managing the quality level of them. For managing Web service quality, Web service associates could usually use SLA(Service Level Agreement) method in which a service consumer contracts for some service level with a service provider and gives for penalty or pays incentives according to the result of evaluation of services. But, there are some difficulties in applying SLA to Web services, because Web services have publicity, multiple users, and 3rd party for management. So, we need a new assurance method for Web service by considering the characteristics of Web services. This paper provides the new concept of committed assurance level for Web services. This concept can be defined as the set of maximum level of quality expected by each user, which provide the consistent view of Web service quality. This paper presents the method for duality associates to preserve some quality level of Web service by using this concept.
