  • 최근 '생산자 책임 재활용제도'가 시행되면서 의무재활용 캔, PET 용기류 생산자들은 판매되 제품에 대한 수집·선별·재활용의 편의를 위해 재활용기계 등의 연구·제작이 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 부탄가스캔과 비슷한 모양의 일반 음료캔을 부탄가스캔으로 오인식하는 현재의 재활용 기계의 문제점을 분석하고, 비선시스템을 이용하여 부탄가스캔만이 가진 특징형상을 추출하여 선별방식의 문제점을 보완할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다.

발포합성수지 포장재 관리 개선방안

  • 협회는 2003년부터 환경부로부터 인가 받은 발포합성수지 포장재의 생산자책임재활용의무 이행 업무 수행과 관련하여 현장에서의 문제점을 파악하고 그 개선방안을 모색하기 위한 연구사업을 진행하였다. 지난 4월부터 11월까지 7개월 간 (사)자원순환사회연대에 의뢰하여 서울 등 6대 광역시, 강원, 호남, 충청권 농촌 지역 등의 발포합성수지 생산자, 사용자, 배출 및 수거자, 재활용사업자 등을 대상으로 제도분석, 설문조사, 현장조사 등으로 행해진 "발포합성수지 포장재 사용 및 처리실태 조사"연구사업의 결과를 요약 소개한다.

  • Owing to technological advancements and energy-saving policies, the demand for LED is increasing, leading to rapid industry expansion. Consequently, efficient recycling of accumulated LED waste has become a growing social concern, and current recycling status of LED waste resources and future directions were reviewed. Currently, waste LED recycling is focused on Ga recovery. Therefore, the development of integrated recycling technologies such as pre-treatment and concentration/recovery of high valued materials is necessary. In this study, we investigated the status and recycling technologies of waste LED and presented prospects.

  • Judgement post-stratification is a new sampling method developed by MacEachern et al. (2004). This article suggests that the judgement post-stratification method can be a good alternative for the simple random sampling when analyzing real-world environmental data. It becomes an important task to accurately measure the output of a recycling facility since the EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) system takes effect on 2003. However, the total weight of materials processed in the recycling facility may not be a proper measure because the materials are frequently mingled with other non-recycling materials. Therefore, it is necessary to estimate the mixture ratio of non-recycling materials among the total materials admitted in the facility. Unfortunately, the size of sample in a recycling facility is restricted due to the inconvenience of sampling procedure such as safety, odor, time and classification of non-recycling materials. In this article, we showed the relative efficiency of the judgement post-stratification method over the simple random sampling method for equal sample sizes using Monte Carlo simulation. Furthermore, we applied the judgement post-stratification method on the 2004 recycling data and showed that it can replace the simple random sampling even with smaller observations.

  • 1992년 '자원절약과 재활용 촉진에 관한 법률'이 제정되었고 폐기물 관련 규제가 강화됨에 2003년 생산자 책임 재활용 제도(EPR)를 도입하였다. 하지만 비데시트 내부에 부착된 열선의 누전방지를 위하여 은박지 및 비데 상하면을 강력본드로 접합시키고 있다. 이 점이 재활용에 많은 어려움으로 되어 일부는 재활용되거나 폐기되고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 유효자원이 폐기되고 있는 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방안으로서 열선과 플라스틱을 자동분리 할 수 있는 장치(지그)를 개발함으로써 효율적인 R&D 사업을 제시하고 문제점을 해결할 수 있다. 이에 가정이나 생활현장에서 폐기되고 있는 자원을 회수할 수 있는 기술을 제공하고자 한다. 본고에서는 필자가 현장에서 근무하면서 터득한 폐기되고 있는 생활 폐기물인 비데두껑을 이용한 환경개선과 소재활용을 목표로 열선과 플라스틱 수지를 효과적으로 분리시킬 수 있는 기술을 적용시킴으로써 수입 대체 소재 재활용 국산에 이바지 하고자 하였다.

  • Since the use of plastics in various goods such as film, containers, and packaging has been increasing in Korea, the generation of plastic waste is increasing. Plastic wastes are managed by waste charge system, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system and voluntary agreement of plastic waste collection-recycling system. Recently, the management of plastic waste is becoming a social issues due to the refusal of the collection of plastic waste including waste plastic bag and waste vinyl. The ministry of environment in korea was set up the comprehensive plan for recycling waste management in accordance with the circulation cycle of manufacturing and production - distribution and consumption - separate and discharge - collection and sorting - recycling. In this study, the improvements for management of plastic waste were suggested with the review of domestic waste plastics management and the comprehensive plan by the ministry of environment.

  • On July 5,2002 the Law Concerning Recycling of End-of Life Vehicles popularly known as the "Automobile Recycling Law" was enacted in Japan. This paper examines the features of this Law, reasons why the Law was brought into existence, and its predicted impacts on the automobile industry. Pursuant to the Law, the current automobile recycling system was replaced by a new one in January 1, 2005.
