Development of Digital Twin platform using Smart Factory based CPPS (스마트팩토리 기반 CPPS를 활용한 Digital Twin 플랫폼 개발)

  • In this paper, we propose a study related to the development of a Digital-Twin platform using a smart factory based CPPS (Cyber Pysical Production System) using ICT (Information Communication Technology) technology. The platform developed through this study performs a 3D model simulation function in conjunction with P3R (Product, Process, Plant, Resource) including BOP (Bill of Process) management function from the preceding manufacturing process planning stage. In addition, we propose a digital twin platform that can predict production processes, equipment, layout, and production. The platform proposed through this paper proposes a feature that can manage the entire smart factory manufacturing process from the initial planning design stage to the manufacturing, production, operation, and maintenance stages.

  • 일반적으로 래스터 그래픽스 기반으로 구성된 사용자 인터페이스는 등심선을 원하는 형태로 생성 및 편집하는 저작도구 인터페이스를 제공함에 있어 그래픽 모델의 확장성과 생산성에 대한 제약으로 인해 자유로운 그래픽 표현에 많은 어려움을 나타내고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 객체 지향 그래픽스 기술인 WPF 사용자 인터페이스를 통해 벡터 곡선을 독립적인 콘텐츠로 모델링하여 등심선 생성 및 편집도구에 독창적이고 유연한 그래픽 표현이 가능하도록 사용자 인터페이스를 제공하는 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 등심선의 그래픽 레이아웃은 조절점과 곡선으로 분할하여 벡터 곡선에 대한 컨테이너 요소를 제공하였고, 최종적으로 프로토 타입의 저작도구를 이용해 등심선의 모의 편집 실험을 실시하여 제안하는 방법의 우수성을 확인하였다.

A Study on Productivity Improvement on Welding Line for Vehicle Fuel Tank using Layout Improvement (레이아웃 개선을 통한 차량용 연료탱크 용접라인의 생산성 향상에 관한 연구)

  • Many researches and projects are actively implemented in the academic world and industrial world in order to increase the productivity through changing utility layout. Effective layout makes the flow of parts and products go on wheels and helps labor forces and utilities to be used efficiently. In this study, we looked at effect on utility layout change through a case of a company making a fuel tank of vehicle in Korea. Due to the layout improvement, this company could have flowshop system on welding line, so the stock in line was decreased, checking the number of stock became easier than before and it was possible to evaluate exact cycle time per unit. Through not only confirming qualitative effect, but also checking quantitative effect such as UPH(Unit per Hour), we obtained the conclusion that the layout improvement increased the productivity.

  • This paper presents a systematic approach for design of timely and proper layouts of a manufacturing system facilitating reconfigurability, referred to as a reconfigurable manufacturing system. A proper methodology for design of a system layout is required for reconfiguration planning - adding or removing machines for supplying the exact capacity needed to fulfill market demands, as well as minimizing the cost of adding new machines. In this paper, theory of constraints is used to make reconfiguration manufacturing systems more cost-effective and efficiency. The proposed approach is validated by using a real industrial case. This paper suggests that the proposed study should be performed concurrently with the design of a new manufacturing system.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의, 3C-3D 구조의 반도체 Spinner 장비가 동시에 처리할 수 있는 웨이퍼의 양이 3개고 제한적이며 HP와 CP Unit이 따로 존재하기 때문에 웨이퍼의 생산성을 저하시키는 단점을 보완하기 위하여 6C-6D 형태의 구조를 갖고 HP와 CP의 Unit을 HCP와 PEB Unit으로 변경시킨 새로운 구조의 Spinner를 설계하였으며, 이 장비의 로봇들을 학습시키고 테스트하기 위한 GTP 개발에 관하여 논한다. 새로운 구조의 Spinner 장비에서 각 Unit 로봇들을 효과적으로 학습시키기 위하여 장비의 구성 요소에 따라 사용자 인터페이스용 레이아웃을 능동적으로 설계하도록 하였으며 구성 요소들 간의 관계를 정의하고 사용자 편의성에 적합한 구성 요소들을 유연성 있게 배치하도록 하였다.

  • 본 논문은 AI 기술을 활용하여 웹 디자인 및 개발 과정에서 생산성과 비용 측면에서 발생하는 문제점을 해결하기 위한 솔루션을 제안하고 있다. ChatGPT와 같은 대규모 언어 모델을 기반으로 사용자가 원하는 웹사이트 유형과 데이터를 입력하면, AI가 적절한 웹 템플릿을 제시하고, 해당 템플릿을 기반으로 동적인 웹사이트를 자동으로 제작하는 방식으로 작동한다. 이를 통해 개발자는 웹사이트 디자인 및 레이아웃 개발에 소요되는 시간과 비용을 절감할 수 있다. 이러한 방식은 웹사이트를 더 사용자 친화적이고 참여도 높은 것으로 만들어, 고객 유치와 이타적 상호작용을 유도하며, 회사나 조직의 성공에 기여할 수 있다.

Simulation-based Production Analysis of Food Processing Plant Considering Scenario Expansion (시나리오 확장을 고려한 식품 가공공장의 시뮬레이션 기반 생산량 분석)

  • In manufacturing productivity analysis, understanding the intricate interplay among factors like facility performance, layout design, and workforce allocation within the production line is imperative. This paper introduces a simulation-based methodology tailored to food manufacturing, progressively expanding scenarios to analyze production enhancement. The target system is a food processing plant, encompassing production processes, including warehousing, processing, subdivision, packaging, inspection, loading, and storage. First, we analyze the target system and design a simulation model according to the actual layout arrangement of equipment and workers. Then, we validate the developed model reflecting the real data obtained from the target system, such as the workers' working time and the equipment's processing time. The proposed model aims to identify optimal factor values for productivity gains through incremental scenario comparisons. To this end, three stages of simulation experiments were conducted by extending the equipment and worker models of the subdivision and packaging processes. The simulation experiments have shown that productivity depends on the placement of skilled workers and the performance of the packaging machine. The proposed method in this study will offer combinations of factors for the specific production requirements and support optimal decision-making in the real-world field.

A Study of Algorithm for Press Layout Setup using Product Design Data (제품 설계 데이터를 이용한 프레스 금형 레이아웃 설정을 위한 알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • Today most companies are designing their automobile shapes by using 3 dimensional CAD software, CATIA. And they used to design 2 dimensional press dies to do some elastic work on their products, but they are currently trying to make use of 3 dimensional software, Pro-Engineer. In this case, they have to change the 3 dimensional product design data to the proper format data for the following process. This paper will show the data loss and the deformation during data transfer between CATIA and Pro-Engineer, and then suggest a solution for these problems. Product's surface will be automatically placed by automatic press tipping angle setting in CATIA to prevent the product from being stuck m the press die. The 2 dimensional section view which is based on the tipping angle setting is created by Z-map. And, to remove the data loss and the data deformation in Pro-Engineer, the product surface are delivered to the next process after it is changed to the 2 dimensional Z-map curves in CATIA. Finally, this paper suggests an algorithm to develop the automatic design program for the press layout which regenerates product shape surface from the previous process.

Development of Simulator for Designing Unidirectional AGV Systems (일방향 AGV 시스템 설계를 위한 시뮬레이터 개발)

  • AGV systems are widely used to increase the flexibility and the efficiency of the material handling systems. AGV systems are one of critical factors which determine the overall performance of the manufacturing systems. To this end, the optimal design for AGV systems is essential. Commercial simulation software is often used as an analysis tool during the design of AGV systems, however a series of procedures are desirable to simplify the analysis processes. In this paper, we present and develop the architecture for unidirectional AGV systems simulator which is able to consider approximate optimal unidirectional flow path and various operational parameters. The designed AGV systems simulator is based on JAVA, and it is developed to support designing approximate optimal unidirectional network by using Tabu search method. In addition, it enables users to design and evaluate AGV systems and to analyze alternative solutions easily. Simulation engine is consists of layout designer, AGV operation plan designer, and integrated AGVS layout designer. Users enter their system design/operation information into input window, then the entered information is automatically utilized for modeling and simulating AGV systems in simulation engine. By this series of procedures, users can get the feed back quickly.

  • Unnecessary transportation of resources are one of the major causes that adversely affect construction site work productivity. Therefore, layout related studies have been conducted with efforts to develop management technologies and techniques to minimize the resource transportation made at site-level. However, although the necessity for floor-level layout planning studies has been increasing as buildings have become larger and floors have become more complicated, studies to optimize the transportation of materials inside buildings are currently not being actively conducted. Therefore, in this study, a model was developed using genetic algorithms(GA) that will enable the optimization of the locations of finishing materials on the work-floor. With the established model, the arrangement of diverse materials on complicated floors can be planned and the optimized material layout planning derived from the model can minimize the total material transportation time spent by laborers during their working day. In addition, to calculate travel distances between work sites and materials realistically, the concept of actual travel distances was applied. To identify the applicability of the developed model and compare it with existing methodologies and analyze it, the model was applied to actual high-rise residential complexes.
