  • Sasang medicine is peculiar medicine that constitution of a human classify four types and differ treatment method by physical constitution. In this way the most important thing is very difficult problem that classification of Sasang constitution and discriminate correctly. Therefore, in this paper targets diagnosis medical appliances development of hybrid form that can behave constitution classification and sees among for this paper to propose about method to grasp characteristic that is morphology about eye, nose, ear and mouth be based on appearance and manner of speaking. In this paper, classified and verified this for Sasang constitution through the QSCC II program at 1 step and present method that more exactly and conveniently analyzing measure each physical constitution feature by survey about eye, nose, ear and mouth at 2 steps. Also, extraction and analyze and verified main area of physical constitution classification based on front face and side face at 3 steps. Such propose method to extraction the principal face region based on face color from front face and side face for correct physical constitution classification diagnosis appliance development through experiment consideration and verification process.

Detection of Number and Character Area of License Plate Using Deep Learning and Semantic Image Segmentation (딥러닝과 의미론적 영상분할을 이용한 자동차 번호판의 숫자 및 문자영역 검출)

  • License plate recognition plays a key role in intelligent transportation systems. Therefore, it is a very important process to efficiently detect the number and character areas. In this paper, we propose a method to effectively detect license plate number area by applying deep learning and semantic image segmentation algorithm. The proposed method is an algorithm that detects number and text areas directly from the license plate without preprocessing such as pixel projection. The license plate image was acquired from a fixed camera installed on the road, and was used in various real situations taking into account both weather and lighting changes. The input images was normalized to reduce the color change, and the deep learning neural networks used in the experiment were Vgg16, Vgg19, ResNet18, and ResNet50. To examine the performance of the proposed method, we experimented with 500 license plate images. 300 sheets were used for learning and 200 sheets were used for testing. As a result of computer simulation, it was the best when using ResNet50, and 95.77% accuracy was obtained.

Evaluation of Self-Cleaning Performance of Mortar Using Nano-Titanium Dioxide Photocatalytic Coating (나노 이산화티탄 광촉매 코팅을 적용한 모르타르의 자기정화성능 평가)

  • This paper aims at estimating self-cleaning performance of mortar coated with photocatalytic suspension under various conditions. Experimental variables included the concentration (1.5 % and 3.0 %) of photocatalytic suspension for coating mortar specimen, the presence of hydrophilic agent in photocatalytic suspension, and applying the primer on the surface of mortar. The color change of methylene blue solution increased and accordingly self-cleaning performance increased as photocatalytic concentration increased. The presence of hydrophilic agent in photocatalytic suspension slightly decreased the self-cleaning performance compared to the conventional photocatalytic suspension. Test results also showed that mortar specimen including primer and specimen not including primer did not show significantly different self-cleaning performance. In addition, cracks on the surface of mortar specimens decreased as the photocatalytic concentration increased. Therefore, increase in cracks on the surface of mortar at different photocatalytic concentration might adversely affect the self-cleaning performance of mortar specimens.

Processing of Cheonggukjang using soybean powder (콩 분말을 이용한 청국장 제조 기술 개발)

  • The possibility of making Cheongukjang by the use of soy-powder and pill type re-made from soy-powder was investigated. Some of experimental results obtained are summarized as follows; 1. Regardless of three different types for the source material of Cheonggukjang, soybean seed, soy-power, and pill, the dry weight of fermented Cheonggukjang showed continuously decreasing trends along with the time of fermentation applied. 2. In all type of source materials, the length of viscous substance during fermentation was increased along with the time of fermentation, and the rate of elongation was much reduced after 48hr of fermentation. Out of four soybean varieties tested, Taekwangkong produced longest viscous substance fermented in the type of soybean seed. No viscous substance was formed when the depth of soy-powder in the fermentation box was shallow, one centimeter. 3. Not much difference was observed in the number of microbes, Bacillus licheniformis B1, in all soybean varieties. The number was proportionally increased in the type of powder but it increased rapidly from 12 hour to 24 hour with low rate of increase thereafter in the pill type. 4. Along with the time of fermentation in all types, the color of Cheonggukjang changed from yellow to dull. At the same time, the tone of color and chroma changed into reddish and yellow, respectively. 5. Along with the time of fermentation in all types, pH of Cheonggukjang changed in alkali. 6. Along with the time of fermentation, the content of isoflavone in Cheonggukjang increased by 48hr but decreased thereafter. 7. In general, the quality of Cheonggukjang fermented in types of soy-powder and pill re-made from soy-powder was lower than that of soybean seed. More study is seemed to be needed to produce high quality Cheonggukjang by the use of soy-power.

Technological Diversities Observed in Bronze Objects of the Late Goryo Period - Case Study on the Bronze Bowls Excavated from the Burial Complex at Deobu-gol in Goyang - (고려 말 청동용기에 적용된 제작기술의 다양성 연구 - 고양 더부골 고분군 출토 청동용기를 중심으로 -)

  • Twenty-seven bronze bowls excavated from the Goryo burial complex at Deobu-gol were examined for their microstructure and chemical composition to characterize the bronze technology practiced by commoners at the time. Results showed that the objects examined can be classified into four groups: 1) objects forged out of Cu-near 22%Sn alloys and then quenched; 2) objects cast from Cu-below 10% Sn alloys containing lead; 3) objects cast from Cu-10%~20% Sn alloys containing lead and then quenched; 4) objects forged out of Cu-10~20% Sn alloys containing lead and then quenched. This study revealed that the fabrication technique as determined by alloy compositions plays an important role in bronze technology. The use of lead was clearly associated with the selection of quenching temperatures, the character of inclusions and the color characteristics of bronze surfaces. It was found that the objects containing lead were quenched at temperatures of $520^{\circ}{\sim}586^{\circ}C$ while those without lead were quenched at the range of $586^{\circ}{\sim}799^{\circ}C$. The presence of selenium in impurity inclusions was detected only in alloys containing lead, suggesting that the raw materials, Cu and Sn, used in making the lead-free alloys for the first group were carefully selected from those smelted using ores without lead contamination. Furthermore, the addition of lead was found to have significant effects on the color characteristics of the surface of bronze alloys when they are subjected to corrosion during interment. In leaded alloys, corrosion turns the surface light green or dark green while in unleaded alloys, corrosion turns the surface dark brown or black. It was found that in fabrication, the wall thickness of the bronze bowls varies depending on the application of quenching; most of the quenched objects have walls 1mm thick or below while those without quenching have walls 1mm thick or above. Fabrication techniques in bronze making usually reflect social environments of a community. It is likely that in the late Goryo period, experiencing lack of skilled bronze workers, the increased demand for bronze was met in two ways; by the use of chief lead instead of expensive tin and by the use of casting suitable for mass production. The above results show that the Goryo bronze workers tried to overcome such a resource-limited environment through technological innovations as apparent in the use of varying fabrication techniques for different alloys. Recently, numerous bronze objects are excavated and available for investigation. This study shows that with the use of proper analytical techniques they can serve as a valuable source of information required for the characterization of the associated technology as well as the social environment leading to the establishment of such technology.

Digital Restoration of Ring-Pommeled Sword by Using Technology of 3D Shape Information Processing (3차원 형상정보 처리기술을 이용한 환두대도의 디지털 원형복원)

  • Culture Technology is the basic technology which produces cultural contents in a narrow sense. All nations do their best in order to create new contents which can form international and cultural sympathy. If a variety of contents are created by applying Korean proper cultural heritages, they will be creative and competitive internationally. Therefore, technology of original cultural restoration is an essential and crucial skill. In this paper, 'gilt bronze dragon-phoenix ring-pommeled sword', a cultural heritage of baekje age, will be restored to the original form digitally on the basis of three-dimensional shape-information processing technology and the scientifically analyzed data. First of all, data from three-dimensional scanning is revised using stuffing and smoothing methods after sampling, extracting characteristics, and align. Then, they are modeled in a curved surface with NURBS and B-Spline. Secondly, textures are edited by estimating the color of components and the quality of materials, and then they are mapped. Original form model which was made was revised and corrected by specialists' examinations. The digitally revised ring-pommeled sword was combined with information technology, and it can be used to revise damaged cultural heritages by constructing formal database of ring-pommeled sword with regard to age, area and type. It can be also used as educational contents in archaeology or preservation science and cultural contents such as movies, broadcasts, games, animations and so on.

Quality characteristics of detoxified Rhus verniciflua vinegar fermented using different acetic acid bacteria (초산균 종류에 따른 무독화 옻식초의 품질 특성)

  • To investigate the effect of different acetic acid bacteria on qualities of detoxified Rhus verniciflua vinegar (DRV), different DRVs were produced by using three acetic acid bacterial strains including Acetobacter pasteurianus KACC16934 (AP), Acetobacter malorum V5-7 (AM), and Gluconoacetobacter entanii RDAF-S (GE). Little difference in pH (2.87~2.90) or titratable acidity (5.33~5.68%) was observed among different DRVs. Acetic acid yields of the AP, AM, and GE strains were 78.6%, 85.3%, and 85.9%, respectively. Organic acid content in different DRVs was in the range of 69.84~73.83 mg/mL. Oxalic acid, malic acid, succinic acid, acetic acid, and fumaric acid were detected in all DRVs. And glutamic acid, alanine, valine, leucine, tyrosine, lysine, anserine, and arginine were detected in all DRVs. Arginine and alanine were the predominant amino acids in all DRVs. PCA plots of electronic nose analysis data showed a significant differentiation of DRVs from different acetic acid bacterial strains. A sensory evaluation of all DRVs indicated that DRV fermented using AM was superior in the aspect of flavor, tasted and overall preference.

Combined Effect of Fireproofing Gypsum Board on Residual Strength and Fire Resistance of Fiber Addition High Strength Concrete-Model Column (방화석고보드 부착이 섬유혼입 고강도 콘크리트 모의 기둥부재의 내화특성 및 잔존내력에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, fire resistance and residual strength were examined after the addition of PF fiber and bonding fireproofing gypsum board to a high strength concrete-model column of 50 MPa grade. At the beginning of the experiment, all the properties of base concrete appeared to satisfy the target range. In terms of the internal temperature record, a trend of slightly high temperature was shown when the fireproofing gypsum board was not bonding, and when the fireproofing gypsum board was bonding, as PF content increased gradually, the temperature was gradually lowered. In terms of the relationship, as time elapsed a low temperature was shown when fiber was mixed, and when the board was bonding, the trend of lower temperature could be confirmed. Meanwhile, in terms of spalling property, a severe explosive fracture was generated at PF 0%, and falling off was prevented as the fiber content was increased; however, discoloration and a multitude of cracks were discovered, and when the board was bonding, the trend in which the exterior became satisfactory when the content was increased emerged. In terms of the residual compressive strength, measuring of strength could not be performed at PF 0% without bonding of board, and the strength was increased as the fiber content was increased; however, there was a decrease in strength of about 30 ~ 40%, and in the case of PF 0% with the bonding of board, the strength could be measured; however, about an 80% decrease in strength was shown, and only about a 10 ~ 20% decline in strength was displayed, as the range of decrease was reduced as the fiber content was increased. Considering all of these factors, it was determined that a more efficient enhancement of fire resistance was obtained when two methods are applied in combination rather than when the PF fiber content and bonding of fireproofing gypsum board are utilized individually.

Facial Contour Extraction in Moving Pictures by using DCM mask and Initial Curve Interpolation of Snakes (DCM 마스크와 스네이크의 초기곡선 보간에 의한 동영상에서의 얼굴 윤곽선 추출)

  • In this paper, we apply DCM(Dilation of Color and Motion information) mask and Active Contour Models(Snakes) to extract facial outline in moving pictures with complex background. First, we propose DCM mask which is made by applying morphology dilation and AND operation to combine facial color and motion information, and use this mask to detect facial region without complex background and to remove noise in image energy. Also, initial curves are automatically set according to rotational degree estimated with geometric ratio of facial elements to overcome the demerit of Active Contour Models which is sensitive to initial curves. And edge intensity and brightness are both used as image energy of snakes to extract contour at parts with weak edges. For experiments, we acquired total 480 frames with various head-poses of sixteen persons with both eyes shown by taking pictures in inner space and also by capturing broadcasting images. As a result, it showed that more elaborate facial contour is extracted at average processing time of 0.28 seconds when using interpolated initial curves according to facial rotation degree and using combined image energy of edge intensity and brightness.

THE EFFECT OF FERMENTED FOODS ON THE COLOR CHANGE OF SOFT DENTURE LINERS (발효음식에 의한 연성 의치상 이장재의 색상 변화에 관한 연구)

  • Statement of problem: The clinical criteria of soft lining materials are resilience over an extended period, capability of forming a strong bond with denture base materials, dimensional stability, adequate tear strength, and color stability. Many researches and reports dealt with food colorants or denture cleanser, but not with fermented foods. Purpose : This study was designed to assess what fermented foods, such as soy sauce and red pepper paste that many Koreans have eaten, influence on the color stability of soft denture liners. Material and methods: The color differences (${\Delta}E^*$) were measured by spectrophotometer with different immersion time. For the procedure, thirty disk-shape specimens per 4 soft denture linears(Molloplast-$B^{(R)}$, Ufi Gel $SC^{(R)}$, Dura $Base^{(R)}$, Sofreliner $MS^{(R)}$) were fabricated with a thickness of 2mm and 16mm in diameter. Each 10 specimen were immersed into the beakers of fermented foods distilled water, and $L^*$, $a^*$, $b^*$ values were measured for the color difference(${\Delta}E^*$), on the 1st, 7th, and 28th day with spectrophotometer. Result and conclusion : 1. There were significant differences between samples(soy sauces, red pepper pastes, and distilled water) in Sofreliner $MS^{(R)}$ of 1st day after immersion(p<0.05). There were significant differences between samples in Sofieliner $MS^{(R)}$ and Ufi Gel $SC^{(R)}$ of 7th days after immersion(p<0.05). There were significant differences between samples in Molloplast-$B^{(R)}$ of 28th day after immers ion(p<0.05). 2. In red pepper pastes, ${\Delta}E^*$ values of Molloplast-$B^{(R)}$, Ufi Gel $SC^{(R)}$, Sofrelinev $MS^{(R)}$ weve higher than 3.3. Those values were not clinically acceptable. In soy sauces, ${\Delta}E^*$ values of all denture liners were lower than 3.3. ${\Delta}E^*$values of Ufi Gel $SC^{(R)}$ were higher than those of other denture liners 3. Based on the above results , red pepper paste causes more discoloration than soy sauce.
