2002년 월드컵 전야제에서는 한국문화를 소개해 세계인의 환호를 받았는데 그 중에는 칠석동 민속축제인 고싸움놀이가 펼쳐졌다. 칠석동 민속축제는 일반 서민복식의 전통복 형태를 보여주는 복식(服飾)을 실제 착용하고 축제를 행하고 있으므로, 점차 사라져 가는 전통복식을 놀이문화를 통해 직접 확인할 수 있다는 점에서 연구가치를 갖는다. 본 연구의 목적은 국제화 시대에 우리 전통문화에 대한 정체성 확립을 위해 시대적 변화에 따라 변해 가는 민속복식을 무형문화재로 지정되어 있는 칠석동 고싸움놀이를 중심으로 시대적 흐름을 통한 고싸움놀이의 전수과정에서 형성되어 온 민속축제복식의 구성과 특성을 살펴보는데 있다. 연구방법은 광주지역인 광산구 칠석동 마을을 중심으로 자료조사와 현장조사를 병행하였다. 자료조사는 민속에 관련된 전공서적과 무형문화재 조사보고서, 행사팜플렛 등을 참고하였고, 현장조사는 고싸움 축제에 참가하여 복식 전반에 대한사진촬영과 마을축제 참여하는 마을사람들을 중심으로 축제복식에 관한 면담조사를 하였다. 칠석동 고싸움 축제복식은 행사가 진행되는 내용에 따라 크게 4가지로 분류할 수 있는데 본격적인 고싸움이 시작되기 전날 밤에 당산나무에 제를 지내는 당산제 복식, 마을의 평안과 고싸움의 흥을 돋우기 위한 농악복식, 고싸움이 시작되기 전에 아낙네들이 손과 손을 맞잡고 둥글게 돌며 화합을 다짐하는 강강수월래 복식, 한해 풍년을 기원하는 고싸움복식이 있다. 칠석동 고싸움 축제복식의 특성을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 구성면에서는 농경제의(農耕祭衣)와 안택축원(安宅祝願的)을 기원하는 민속놀이축제복식으로 일상생활에 착용하는 복식을 이용한 농경 의례복의 다(多)기능성이 강조된 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 색상은 우리조상의 백의(白衣)의 상징인 일상복인 백색 위에 오방색을 사용하여 화려하고도 강렬한 원색의 색상조화가 특징적으로 나타났다. 셋째, 형태면에서는 양쪽어깨와 허리선의 면 분할이나 비례를 통해 허리부분의 동작에 따른 유동적인 선이 부각되고 있다. 특히, 평면구성의 단조로움은 흔들리는 몸동작에 따른 고름의 율동미와 축제복식의 착장 방법에 따른 한국복식의 형태미를 보여주었다.

this study is to determine whether color, icon, sorting methods of brief description about materials, and postioning methods of final records affect the usability of the OPAC(Online Public Access Catalog) screen designs in terms of success rate, search time, and users' preferences. The findings suggest that OPAC systems can be optimized to enhance user's performances conflict with each other, designers should give more weight to performance because of the library's mission of meeting users' information needs.

컴퓨터 프로그래밍에 의해 특정 모티브 이미지를 기반으로 다양한 규칙과 불규칙요인을 포함한 동적구성을 완성한다. 완성된 동적구성에서 타임 슬라이스를 통해 다수의 이미지컷을 생성하고 이를 단독 또는 혼합하여 그래픽디자인의 소스로 사용하는 등 예술적으로 활용하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 이러한 방법을 '프로그래밍아트'라고 칭하고자 한다. 첫번째 시도한 모티브는 색동이다. 조선 복식에서 기쁨과 즐거움의 표현으로 사용된 원색들은 배열의 질서를 갖춰 색동의 형식을 취함으로써 원색 조화의 미를 보여준다. 이제까지 "탈 색동화에 의한 디자인 전개"는 색동의 조형요소를 다양하게 변형시키는 것으로 여러 분야의 디자이너들에 의해 색동의 색이나 색 너비등의 변형으로 시도되고 있다. 색동의 색상과 이미지틀을 유지하면서 변형할 영역을 도출하여 프로그래밍하였고, 몇가지 유형의 그래픽 재료를 생산하고 이를 재가공하였다. 예술의 창의적 과정에서 프로그래밍을 통한 자동화 영역을 찾는 것은 다소 불합리해 보이지만, 창의적인 작업과정을 세부적으로 나누면서 규칙적 영역을 발굴하거나, 그 영역 내에서도 인터랙션을 통해 인간의 의지가 반영될 수 있다. 이는 인간과 컴퓨터가 공조하여 창의성을 추구함으로써 컴퓨터를 또 하나의 생명체로 간주해가는 미래사회 협업의 새로운 유형의 시도라 생각한다.

인간은 음에서도 색을 느낄 수 있다. 그리고 청각을 통하여 음의 높고(고음), 낮음(저음), 장(길고), 단(짧음), 맑고, 탁함에 따라 색을 다르게 느낄 수 있다. 이러한 현상을 색청(色聽)이라고 한다. 소리와 색의 연관성에 대하여 선행 연구를 고찰한 결과 색의 3속성 색상, 채도, 명도는 음악의 음계, 옥타브, 음색과 연관성이 있었다. 그리고 음악의 리듬은 조형의 공간, 형태의 조화와 반복이 유사하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 에드워드 마이언(Edward D. Maryon)의 마르코톤의 음과 색의 이론을 바탕으로 뉴턴의 색채와 음계로 경상도 민요 밀양아리랑의 색채를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 밀양아리랑 음의 빈도에 의한 색채는 Blue Violet, Green Blue, Red, Yellow, Orange의 순으로 색채를 추출할 수 있었다. 추출된 색에서 연상되는 형용사 이미지는 힘, 정열, 인내, 열정, 진취적인, 우호적, 야망, 불꽃 등으로 경상도 지역 이미지로 연관 시킬 수 있다. 본 연구는 경상도민요 밀양아리랑의 음을 분석하여 색의 연상이미지와 지역 색을 찾는데 그 의의를 두었다.

사용자의 참여와 공유형 서비스들이 증가함에 따라, 웹 상에서의 이미지의 종류와 수도 증가하였다. 본 연구에서는 보다 효율적인 이미지 검색을 위하여, 이미지의 특정 요소만을 반영한 분석과 검색 방법이 아닌 다양한 속성을 융합적으로 고려한 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 하나의 이미지에서 이미지가 가지고 있는 색의 조화, 주요 색상, 형태, 느낌, 질감 다섯 가지 속성을 이미지 특성 추출 기술을 통해 추출하고, 이를 각각의 속성에 대하여 폴리곤으로 나타내는 이미지 속성 그래프를 생성하는 방안을 제안한다. 또한, 질의에 따라 속성의 우선순위를 부여하고, 폴리곤 매칭을 통하여 사용자의 목적에 맞게 이미지를 분석하고 정보를 제공하는 방법을 설명한다.

The natural dyes from Gardenia jasminoides, Carthamus tinctorius L., Rhus javanica, Lithospermum erythrorhizon, Caesalpinia sappan L., and Castanea crenata were extracted under different pH in distilled water, As the pH in distilled water went from acid to alkali, the much deeper colors in the same color tone were generated from the individual plant species. Before dyeing, wood species were treated by different mordants including AI, Cu, Cr and Fe for color-fixing between wood and the natural dyes. Each mordant could develop independent color on the surface of the woods. The wood species dyed by the natural dyes created deep-tone colors according to higher pH and temperature of the dyeing solution, leading to deeper penetration of the dyes into the wood tissues. Finally through the computer modelling of natural-dyed wood furniture, it was confirmed that the colored furniture can adequately be compatible with the current interior spaces of diverse colors.

This is the follow-up research on aesthetic review for Korean wrestling uniform design and deals with practical design evolvement of Korean wrestling uniform. The process and contents of the research was based on the outcome of the ground research. I studied Japanese wrestling and marketing strategy of its uniform, which enjoy added value as well as elevated worth as cultural item, and then compared it with our traditional wrestling. In addition, I divided practical designs into color, material and style according to concept for further research. The most important factor in designing traditional wrestling uniform can be found in harmonization of tradition and modernism. It is essential to operate and manage design in consistent and systematic way that can harmonize with modern sports marketing and designs, which contains national sentiment and contemporary mind. Designing Korean wrestling uniform with consistent concept based on aesthetic parts of Korean wrestling uniform, this research is meaningful as an exemplary for traditional and cultural item design as well as national costume.

In this paper, we study the bus stop shelters, one of the public facilities, revised by the development plan of Seoul city. Dark gray and brown are dominant colours for the shelters. As representative colours, designated by Seoul city, dark gray and brown can be harmonious naturally with urban environment. However, in view of universal design, those colours have some problems to be recognized and to be used for handicapped groups, olds and childens especially. For analysis, investigating proposition and circumstance of two groups living in the city is the first place. This study is for building proper colour domains of universal design for public facilities and for recognizing that the way of public facilities should be that the ambit of public space is not regarded as a facility but recognized easily in accordance with environment including a facility. we hope that this paper is practically used as a reference for coming studies are the purposes of this study.

This study aimed to investigate high school students' conceptions of plate tectonics. Seventy students (N=70) in their 2 year of high schools in the province of Chungcheong-do participated in this study, and they took a conception test of visual representation. We conducted a semi-structured interview with 10 volunteering participants out of seventy. After learning about the concept of plate tectonics, this study found that participants ended up having alternative conceptions relating to terminology, meaning of colors, plates' movement, plates' boundaries, position and cause of melting, mantle's physical conditions, and driving forces of plate motion. The conceptions that the participants held after class were organically related, which included the meaning of colors, mantle's physical characteristic, and driving forces of plate movement. In addition, the visual representation used for teaching plate tectonics influenced the students' understanding about terminologies, plates' boundaries, position of melting, and the physical characteristic of mantle. The study found that there were the factors of visual representation that caused the learners to create alternative conceptions in learning about plate tectonics.

This study is the visually emotional identification lighting for easy to distinguish using 3colors LED on AtoN facility in shore and harbor, which have realized a controller for certainly express the mouth of a harbor by red light and green light of both sides a harbor and for synchronization at a time of right and left or serial sequential the harbor guidance light through synchronizer or timer by GPS. There is expectation effect that is prevent a confusion about distinguish of facility by ship's operator and to beautify a night scene of harbor, which is expressed to emotional identification lighting differ from great many lighting of harbor with variable color lighting the lighthouse body and vertical layer color lighting using LED. The function of AtoN is adapted that guidance light through synchronization or serial sequential lighting and display of harbor safety message by CW lighting, and this system is the power consumption greatly reduce by candle alternated high light LED.
