The primary aim of this paper is to discuss the historical development or grammaticalization of English adverbial -ly suffix and provide a diachronic analysis of manner adverbs and sentence adverbs from the perspective of secondary grammaticalization. The grammaticalization includes both the primary grammaticalization from a lexical to a grammatical and the secondary grammaticalization from a less grammatical to a more grammatical status. The emergence of the manner adverbs is due to the primary grammaticalization from OE adjectival suffix -lic to ME adverbial suffix -ly. In contrast, the emergence of sentence adverbs is due to the secondary grammaticalization from manner adverbs in VP domain to sentence adverbs in TP domain with grammatical features of tense and modality. This paper concludes that the secondary grammaticalization of the English adverbial -ly suffix includes the change from manner adverbs to sentence adverbs which obtain a new grammatical function of tense and modality.

This paper presents a new text classifier based on a feature projection technique. In feature projections, training documents are represented as the projections on each feature. A classification process is based on individual feature projections. The final classification is determined by the sum from the individual classification of each feature. In our experiments, the proposed classifier showed high performance. Especially, it have fast execution speed and robustness with noisy data in comparison with k-NN and SVM, which are among the state-of-art text classifiers. Since the algorithm of the proposed classifier is very simple, its implementation and training process can be done very simply. Therefore, it can be a useful classifier in text classification tasks which need fast execution speed, robustness, and high performance.

The smart phone industry has shown its continuous growth even under global economy crisis and its ecological surrounding is rapidly shifting. In order to retain its global competitive advantage, it is necessary to comprehend and implement a preemptive policy regarding ecological transition of smart phones. Many developed foreign countries including the United States and Europe endeavor to maintain competitiveness in the new ecology of smart phones. Korea, which was once the most leading country in the IT industry, has accepted the fact that it lost an opportunity to take competitive advantage in the market and now it is striving to regain its past reputation. This study aims to examine the new potential category of services and products in this rapidly changing smart phone market and also suggested necessary additional efforts from the government side. We expect this study help the government establish proper ecological policies under Korea's smart phone environment.

방송 통신 융합의 대표적인 서비스인 IPTV가 상용으로 제공되고 있지만, IPTV는 아직 단순히 IP 망에서의 실시간 채널방송 및 VoD 서비스 범주를 크게 벗어나지 못하고 있다. 또한 IPTV사업자들이 Value Chain인 CPNT(Contents-Platform-Network-Terminal) 모든 요소에서 지배력을 가질수 있는 Walled Garden 형태의 폐쇄적 서비스 정책으로 새로운 신규 서비스 시장 성장의 장해요인으로 작용하고 있다. 반면 애플의 아이폰에서 보듯이 개인이 사용하는 단말은 점차 다양해지고 지능화되어 새로운 서비스의 가능성을 제시하고 있다. 정부가 10대 미래 서비스 전략의 하나로 추진하고 있는 SMART 스크린 서비스는 동일한 융합서비스(콘텐츠)를 원하는 시간과 장소에서 단말의 종류에 무관하게 PC, TV, 휴대 단말 등에서, 장소와 단말기간 이동 시에도 끊김 없이 서비스를 제공하는 기술이다. 본 고에서는 SMART 스크린 기술의 목표와 장애 요인, 그리고 이를 극복하기 위한 기술 개발 동향을 살펴본다.

최근 인터넷의 생활화로 이를 기반으로 수익을 창출하는 새로운 형태의 거래가 확산되고 있다. 이러한 형태는 포털사이트를 기반으로 커뮤니티를 형성하고, 이를 통하여 확보된 회원들을 대상으로 광고수익이나 판매가 이루어지는 형태의 비즈니스 모델들이다. 하나 기존 오프라인 중심으로 정의된 인터넷 비즈니스 모델들을 적용하여 이러한 포털사이트 기반의 비즈니스들을 분류할 경우 여러 범주에 포함 되어서 이들을 분류하기 어려운 문제점이 있다. 이로 인하여 새로 생성되는 인터넷 비즈니스 모델들을 활용한 사업의 가능성과 이들이 기술적으로 실현이 가능한지 여부, 이들에게 요구되는 요소들에 대한 분석에 어려움이 많다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기위하여 현재 가장 많이 사용되는 포털사이트들을 기존 인터넷 비즈니스 모델을 적용하여 비교 분석하고, 여기서 새로운 모델 정의에 필요한 요소들을 추출하여 이를 반영한 새로운 인터넷 비즈니스 모델들을 설계한다. 이를 통하여 변화하는 환경에 적응이 가능한 포털사이트 기반의 인터넷 비즈니스 모델의 정의와 분석이 가능하다.

The purpose of this study is to conceptualize the process of formation by the exploration of the lives of professional golfers who grow to excellent sports leaders, categorize the concept and suggest models between categories. In order to reveal in depth the change process of the job formation, the 'grounded approach' as a qualitative study was used as a the methodological frame of this study, and snow sampling, one of nonrandom sampling was used for the selection method of the study participants. 10 study participants who are able to make positive self-expression and talk with the researcher were selected. Through grounded approach appropriate for this process research, this study could acquire following results. First, through the casual condition that is the exploration of the lives of professional golfers growing to excellent sports leaders, it connected to the central phenomena of professional instruction methods and education belief as golf leaders. In this process, the changes as new experiences for the charm of the new job and relationship formation influence as the function of a contextual condition. In addition, golf leaders tried to become a more completed golf leader through self-efforts for development and expertise attainment according to the their own situations as well as belief, and they have established the lives of firm golf leaders through the process. Second, as a result of the changes of their lives as professional golfers growing to excellent sports leaders, the paradigm of grounded approach which is abstracted as total 141 concepts, 17 subcategories, and 11 superordinate categories were composed.

The problem of finding clusters is widely used in numerous applications, such as pattern recognition, image analysis, market analysis. The important factors that decide cluster quality are the similarity measure and the number of attributes. Similarity measures should be defined with respect to the data types. Existing similarity measures are well applicable to numerical attribute values. However, those measures do not work well when the data is described by categorical attributes, that is, when no inherent similarity measure between values. In high dimensional spaces, conventional clustering algorithms tend to break down because of sparsity of data points. To overcome this difficulty, a subspace clustering approach has been proposed. It is based on the observation that different clusters may exist in different subspaces. In this paper, we propose a new similarity measure for clustering of high dimensional categorical data. The measure is defined based on the fact that a good clustering is one where each cluster should have certain information that can distinguish it with other clusters. We also try to capture on the attribute dependencies. This study is meaningful because there has been no method to use both of them. Experimental results on real datasets show clusters obtained by our proposed similarity measure are good enough with respect to clustering accuracy.

글로벌동향브리핑(GTB)에서는 100여명의 국내 외 과학기술 전문가가 농림 수산, 생명과학, 보건 의료 등 19개 주제로 해외 과학기술동향을 소개하고 있다. 이를 바탕으로 식품분야의 최신 해외과학기술 주요동향을 요약하여 재정리 하고자 한다. 농수축산물을 포함하여 대다수의 식품은 좋은 음식으로서의 기능 뿐 아니라, 다양한 용도로 활용된다. 점차 이러한 연구가 많아지고 있으며 활용의 범주가 바이오리파이너리, 에너지 생산 외에도 의학, 화학산업 등으로 다양하다. 이번 호에서는 지난해부터 발표된 식품의 새로운 용도가 발견된 결과를 다루고자 한다.

에너지와 ICT 기술의 융합을 통한 새로운 비즈니스 모델의 창출은 신산업 신성장동력의 대표 아젠다로 주목받고 있으며, 관련한 정부의 정책 제도들이 봇물 터지듯 제시되고 있다. 스마트 에너지 서비스는 이러한 배경 하에서 기후변화대응, 탄소거래제, 수요관리 중요성 부각 등 사회문제 이슈 해결의 중심축으로 부각되고 있다. 스마트 에너지에 대한 정의는 그 적용 범위와 도메인에 따라 달라지기도 하고, 관련 범주도 넓으며 기술의 분야도 다양한 형태를 띠고 있다. 본고에서는 스마트 에너지 기술에 대한 특징과 국내외 기술 서비스에 대한 현황에 대해 살펴봄으로써, 인류가 당면하고 있는 피할 수 없는 에너지 분야의 문제 해결에 대한 기술적 접근 방향성을 제시하고자 한다.

본 논문은 고유명사를 활용하여 특정 정보를 좀더 효율적으로 추출하기 위한 연구이며, Named Entity의 한 범주인 사람 이름에 대하여 어휘 사전이나 실마리 사전의 사용 없이 초기에 주어지는 몇 개의 인칭 명사들을 태그가 부착되지 않은 코퍼스에 적용시켜 고유명사 추출을 위한 패턴을 학습하고, 그 패턴을 적용하여 새로운 고유명사를 생성해 내는 작업을 통해 인칭 명사들을 효율적으로 추출할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다.
