Analysis of the Success Factors of Open Innovation fromthe Perspective of Cooperative Game Theory: Focusing on the Case of Collaboration Between Korean Large Company 'G' and Startup 'S' (협조적 게임이론 관점에서 본 대기업-스타트업 개방형 혁신 성공 요인 분석: 대기업 'G사'와 스타트업 'S사'의 협업 사례를 중심으로)

  • Based on the case of collaboration between large companies and startups, this study suggests the importance of establishing mutual cooperation and trust relationships for the success of open innovation strategy from the perspective of cooperative game theory. It also provides implications for how this can be implemented. Due to information asymmetry and differences in organizational culture and decision-making structures between large companies and startups, collaboration is likely to proceed in the form of non-cooperative games among players in general open innovation, leading to the paradox of open innovation, which lowers the degree of innovation. Accordingly, this study conducted a case study on collaboration between large company 'G' and startup 'S' based on the research question "How did we successfully promote open innovation through cooperative game-type collaboration?" The study found that successful open innovation requires (1) setting clear collaboration goals to solve the organizational problem between large companies and startups, (2) supporting human resources for qualitative growth of startups to solve reliability problems, (3) leading to strategic investment and joint promotion of new projects to solve the profit distribution problem. This study is significant in that it contributes to expanding the discussion of the success factors of open innovation to the importance of interaction and strategic judgment considering the organizational culture and decision-making structure among players, and empirically confirming the success conditions of open innovation from the perspective of cooperative game theory.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the direction of teaching and learning in the era of science and technology. The conclusion is as follows: From the perspective of new materialism, the direction of teaching and learning first emphasizes the importance of learning experience. Second, a teaching method that emphasizes giving meaning is needed. Third, there is a need to consider various perspectives and backgrounds. The direction of teaching and learning in the era of phenomenology is, first, the meaning and meaning of learning is important. Second, it emphasizes the role of independent learners. Third, diverse experiences must be integrated. Fourth, a flexible approach is needed depending on the environment and situation. Rather than a fixed teaching method, it is necessary to use a variety of teaching strategies according to the situation and needs of the learner. From the perspective of actor network theory, the direction of teaching and learning needs to first embrace a variety of actors. Second, there is a need to understand the role of the mediator actor. Third, there is a need to emphasize the dynamic aspect of the network. Fourth, there is a need to emphasize interaction and giving meaning. Fifth, there is a need to strengthen interaction with technology. Sixth, there is a need to create a non-linear and open learning environment. The direction of society and teaching and learning presented in Trend Korea 2024 considers time as a precious resource in a divided society, and teaching and learning must adapt and develop in a useful direction in a changing environment.

Development Trend Analysis of the Research on Recommendation System (추천시스템 연구의 개발추세 동향)

  • Recommendation systems are widely used to help deal with the problem of information overload. Over the past decades, a variety of recommendation systems have been developed as the amount of information in the world increases far more quickly than our ability to process it. This paper aims to analyze existing developed recommendation systems, provide systemic review, and present some basic issues on improvement action. Through this, we also suggest useful implications for better recommendation systems and give some ideas to recommendation system developers to improve their system. Especially, this study focuses on researches on recommendation system. In our research, we analyze the studies along with four different keys dimensions : their domain, objective, underlying model, and evaluation method of recommendation systems and portray the results as statistics or statistical graphics or table form.

Antecedents and Consequences of Manufacturer's Degree of Channel Concentration (제조업자의 경로집중도 선행요인과 결과요인)

  • This research aimed to establish and test a empirical model for antecedents and consequences of manufacturer's degree of channel concentration in multiple channels from strategic perspective. For this purpose, I suggested new concept of channel concentration based on related literature review and developed the measurement index of channel concentration. Second, I examined and applied the transaction cost theory and market power theory to provide broad understanding of multiple channel structure and to explain it. Finally, I present the theoretical and managerial implications to the firms that build up channel strategy under multiple channel contexts on this research results. For the purpose of these goals, eight hypotheses were drawn from the previous researches. To verify these hypotheses, 248 data were collected as samples, and the data were tested by reliability test, factor analysis, and covariance structure analysis. Empirical findings strongly support that strategic management of distribution channel especially are important in multiple channels. The overall implications to researchers and practitioners are presented, and limits and further study direction were discussed as a final.

  • A work as human's creatures are transformed to bits and multimedia. In the modem society which is governed by simulation, infornlation is symbolized and becoming easily reached to anyone. Thus, collections of image and composition can show a new world beyond the ethical viewpoint. The problem with worries about the differnce between the original and a copy and disappearence of the meaning in postmodern era is the problem of how to set the intellectual properties and copyrights.In this situation, sharing of information according to the theoretical concepts and process of digitalization of photos in the era of information-intensive society was presented. The ethics of intellectual properties and copyrights and in postmordern era were driven. After reviewing the intellectual properties in the era of national information infrastructure of twenty-first century and by identifying the problems, the directions of what we have to do as image makers, and the intellectual properties and copyright.

A Study on Privacy Paradox from the Behavioral Economics Perspective (행동경제학 관점에서 프라이버시 역설에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, several studies in the field of privacy research suggested counterintuitive phenomenon about previous studies on existing perspectives. They claim that consistency of attitude and behavior does not exist, which is called privacy paradox. This study aims to clarify the relationship between intention to information disclosure and actual behavior based on the privacy paradox perspective. It attempts to explain the causes of privacy paradox phenomenon through the dual process theory being discussed in the field of behavioral economics. The results of empirical analysis are as follows. First, paired t-test analysis between intention to information disclosure and actual behavior was statistically significant. This means the existence of privacy paradox. Second, privacy risk had significant explanatory power to behavioral intention, and privacy trust had significant explanatory power to actual behavior. In conclusion, this study shows that negative belief influences decision making situation controlled by rational thinking whereas positive belief influences actual situations controlled by intuitive thinking.

  • With the growing international consensus regarding sustainable development of transportation, the plan of transportation infrastructure needs to meet various requirements toward enhancing environmental conditions. Accordingly, the upcoming long-term plan of high-speed rail network has to be reflecting the sustainability of transportation systems. In this paper, we propose methodologies based on multi-attribute utility theory for determining priorities of sustainable high-speed rail investment. The proposed methodologies identify indicators for sustainable transportation systems such as economic, environmental, social, and transportation-related ones and then, explain the way how to evaluate the overall sustainability by comparing the relative importance among indicators. This will help transportation agencies to prioritize high-speed rail investment toward sustainable transportation systems.

  • 과거 수십년간 댐의 운영방법은 과거 관측 유입량 자료를 바탕으로 결정되었지만, 미래 기후변화의 불확실성을 고려하면 기존 운영방법이 더 이상 유효하지 않을 수 있다. 따라서, 이에 대응하여 수자원을 적절히 운용하기 위해서는 기후변화의 불확실성을 고려한 댐의 운영방법에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구는 예측 유입량의 불확실성을 고려하기 위하여 로버스트(Robust) 의사결정 방법을 댐 운영 최적화에 접목한 다목적 로버스트 최적화(Multi-Objective Robust Optimization) 방법을 제안한다. 이는 기존의 다목적 로버스트 의사결정이론(MORDM, Multi Objective Robust Decision Making)과 로버스트 최적화이론(Robust Optimization)을 결합한 의사결정 방법이다. 로버스트 최적화의 목적함수는 로버스트 항(Robust Term)을 신뢰도, 심각도, 그리고 회복도 등의 여러 관점으로 구성할 수 있으며, 이는 다목적 최적화의 일종으로 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 신뢰도와 심각도 관점으로 로버스트 항을 적절히 구성하고 그 가중치들을 조절하며, 그에 따라 기후변화의 상황에서 댐 운영의 수행결과가 어떻게 변하는지 의사결정자들이 파악할 수 있도록 가시화한다. 그리고 동시에, 목표하는 댐 운영의 안정성이 다양한 미래 기후변화 시나리오 상에서 유지되도록 하는 로버스트 항과 각 항의 가중치들을 결정하는 방법을 제시한다. 이를 통해 의사결정자는 여러 측면에서 안정적인 다목적 로버스트 최적화의 해를 찾아갈 수 있다. 댐 운영을 위한 로버스트 최적화를 진행하기 위해서 본 연구는 Robust-SDP(Stochastic Dynammic Programming)을 수행하였으며, 대상유역인 보령댐이 이수기동안 인근지역의 수요량만큼 물을 충분히 공급함을 목적으로 로버스트 최적화를 진행하였다. 아울러, 저수지 용량이 로버스트 최적화에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해서 남강댐에 동일한 최적화 방법을 적용하고 이를 비교하였다.

Understanding of Mathematics Teacher Learning and Teaching Practice in Transition (수학 교사 학습 및 교수법 변화에 관한 이해)

  • Given that less attention has been paid to teachers than students in mathematics education, this study attempted to provide theoretical foundations to understand better mathematics teacher learning and teaching practice in transition. First, this paper summarized three conceptions of teacher learning on the basis of the relationships of knowledge and practice followed by several implications to mathematics teacher education. Second, this paper provided a brief overview of cognition as situated, social, and distributed. This paper then explored new implications and issues about mathematics teacher learning that the overview brought to light. It is expected for teacher educators and researchers to participate in rich discussion of many implicit issues about teacher learning that this paper begins to raise.

Participation Metaphor for Learning and Its Implication for Science Teaching and Learning

  • This is a theoretical study of which the goal is to investigate the meaning of a participation metaphor (PM) for learning and draw its implication for teaching and learning science. The review of relevant literature reveals that the PM is associated with the view of learning as ongoing participation in sociocultural practices within a community, and that cognitive apprenticeship is an instructional model related closely to the PM. It is then suggested that a community of learners should be developed if science teaching and learning are to be implemented in line with the PM. Finally, the present study briefly introduces a high school science club as an exemplar of science learning community, including what should be considered in science education research.
