Characteristics of Heavy Vehicles Using Expressway Networks Based on Weigh-in-motion Data (WIM 데이터를 이용한 고속도로 중차량 특성 분석)

  • The design life and durability of the bridges are strongly affected by the Gross Vehicle Weight(GVW) of heavyweight trucks. The Weigh-In-Motion(WIM) systems are typically used to collect information on truck total weight and speed. The statistical analysis of the GVW measured using High Speed WIM systems showed that most of heavy vehicles were from Vehicle Type 7, 10, and 12. The analysis was also carried out to determine goodness of fit with theoretical probability distributions. The normal distribution was shown to best describe the overall distribution of GVW. The top 10% of the GVW appeared to best fit by the Weibull 3 probability distribution.

  • A tag collision arbitration algorithm for RFID passive tags is one of the important issues for fast tag identification, since reader and tag have a shared wireless channel in RFID system. This paper suggests Hyper-Hybrid Query Tree algorithm to prevent the tag-collisions. The suggested algorithms determine the specified point in time for tag to transfer ID to reader by using value 1 of the upper 3 bit based on Query Tree. Also, because the transferred upper 3 bits of tag is different depending on the time of transfer, it is possible to predict in the suggested Algorithm. In the performance evaluation through simulation, it shows the suggested algorithm has higher performance in the number of queries compared to other Tree-based protocols.

  • In this study, the analyzed turbine is a 5MW upwind-type wind turbine. This conceptual model was made to compare the results of the numerical analysis program in the IEA Annex23 Subtask2 OC3 project. The numerical analysis program used in this study is FAST developed by NREL and AQWA of ANSYS. Motion characteristics, such as RAO, average motion, significant motion and average amplitude of 1/10 highest motion were obtained through the numerical analysis. The results of the numerical analysis were compared with the results of other numerical analyses and the experimental results, and all the results agreed with one another. The results will help resolve the fundamental design trade-offs between basic floating system concepts.

  • This studies were carried out to investigate the effects of nitrogen fertilizer rates and methods of its application on maturity of leaves, total nitrogen and total alkaloids concentration in burley tobacco leaves. Nitrogen rate ranged from 17.5 to 40.5kg/10a and applied through basic fertilization and sidedressing. The filling capacity of cured leaves was decreased with increasing levels of nitrogen fertilizer. As the rate of nitrogen fertilization was increased or sidedressing, the maturity of leaves was delayed and total alkaloids and total nitrogen concentration were increased. Total alkaloids concentration in leaves was gradually increased, especially more in upper leaves from 60 to no days after tratnsplanting, but total nitrogen concentration was decreased.

  • The experiment was carried out in order to investigate the development of vascular bundles and air spaces of rice internode, and its relationships to the panicle characteristics of rice varieties. The results obtained were as follows; The number of total vascular bundles in upper 1st internode was significantly different among varieties, but there was no remarkable differences among varieties and nodal positions below the 2nd internode. In the 5th internode 21-31 air spaces according to varieties was developed, however, no air space was found in upper 1st and 2nd internodes at maturing stage. Significant varietal difference of air space was observed in upper 4th internode. The number of vascular bundles, internodal thickness were positively correlated with panicle length, the number of rachis branches, and the spikelets in rice varieties.

  • To investigate the pupils' ideas about appropriate scientific inquiry problem, we have chosen the 105 boys and girls of 7th grade in a middle school in Seoul, Korea. Their marks in science are within the highest one-third of their classes. The pupils have made their own scientific inquiry questions, which is to be investigated by themselves in summer vacation. The 105 inquiry questions were gathered and evaluated by the pupils with 5-point Likert scale. From these, we have found that the questions inquiring novel phenomena, questioning causality, or containing scientific terms were evaluated as appropriate. Some questions were changed during performance. The pupils have changed their inquiry problems if they feel any difficulties in performing the inquiry.

  • This paper was studied on change for Marine Administration of telecommunications. Analysis method was studied of Policy Delphi. The three kinds of telecommunications network influence on Marine administration is National Information Infrastructure Network, Integrated Services Digital Network and Local Area Network. The five kinds of telecommunications service influence on Marine administration is Telecommuting Service, Electronic Approval Service, Teleconference Service, Electronic Data Interchange Service, and Internet Service.   • 본 논문에서는 PCM 알고리즘을 적용하여 한국인 고유의 신체적 특성에 맞는 한의학 기반의 한방 자가 진단 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 사용자로부터 입력받은 각 증상들에 가중치를 설정한다. 입력받은 증상의 개수가 많아질 경우에는 해당되지 않는 질병이 도출되기 때문에 각 증상 클러스터의 가중치를 낮게 설정하여 적은 입출력 변화에도 전체 결과의 신뢰도에 영향을 주지 않도록 한다. 입력 데이터와 가중치를 기반으로 하여 이미 학습된 질병의 증상과 비교한 후, 유사도가 높은 상위 5개의 질병을 도출한다. 도출된 상위 5개의 질병과 도출된 질병의 원인과 민간요법을 제공한다. 질병과 증상에 대한 데이터베이스는 여러 한의학 서적을 통해 구축한 후, 한의학 전문의의 검증을 거쳐 구현하였다. 제안된 한방 자가 진단 시스템은 진료 기록을 바탕으로 증상을 학습함으로써 기존의 질병 진단 시스템 보다 다양한 증상에 대한 질병 정보를 제공할 수 있는 것으로 확인되었다.

  • Modern graphic processors, multimedia processors and audio processors mostly use floating-point number. Meanwhile, high-level language such as C and Java uses both single-precision and double precision floating-point number. In this paper, an algorithm which computes the reciprocal of double precision floating-point number using a 32 bit multiplier is proposed. It divides the mantissa of double precision floating-point number to upper part and lower part, and calculates the reciprocal of the upper part with Goldschmidt's algorithm, and computes the reciprocal of double precision floating-point number with calculated upper part reciprocal as the initial value is proposed. Since the number of multiplications performed by the proposed algorithm is dependent on the mantissa of floating-point number, the average number of multiplications per an operation is derived from some reciprocal tables with varying sizes.

  • The objective of the study was to investigate growth pattern of capsule and grain to improve grain filling during the grain filling period in sesame. Growth patterns of capsule and grain from anthesis to maturity were measured and compared by different plant types. Growth of capsule length started to grow just after anthesis and recorded maximum point at 35 days after flowering. and then decreased gradually. Growth of higher part capsule was worse than lower and middle capsules. Capsule growth of 2 carpels 4 loculi type showed better than 4 carpels 8 loculi type and BTB (branch, 3 capsules, 2 carpels, 4 loculi) type showed good growth due to its small reduction of higher part capsule length compared to those of lower and middle parts. The order of growth of capsule length were considered to be center capsule in main stem> center capsule in branch> side capsule in main stem> side capsule in branch. Growth of capsule width also showed maximum at 35 days after anthesis and then reduced. The order of growth of capsule width were lower part> middle part> higher part. Higher part capsule width of 3 capsules 4 carpels 8 loculi type showed serious decrease at late reproductive growth stage same as those of capsule length. Fresh one thousand grain weight showed peak at 35 days after anthesis and then reduced. The order of grain growth were appeared as lower part> middle part> higher part. Growth of fresh one thousand grain weight of branch and side capsule were lower than those of main stem center capsule, and 4 carpels 8 loculi type was deeply decreased at late flowering time in higher part such as the growth of capsule length and width. BTB (branch, 3,2/4) type didn't show much decrease in higher part fresh grain weight compared to those of other plant types in spite of its profitable character of lots of sink capacity. BTB type appeared to be ideal for improving grain filling and yield productivity in growing sesame in Korea.
