  • 전 세계적으로 우주로의 여행 (우주여행, Space Tourism)에 대한 많은 관심이 일어나고 있다. 특히 2004년 10월 4일 Scaled Composites사(社)의 SpaceShipOne이 2주 연속하여 지상 100km 정도의 지구 저궤도 (Sub-Orbital) 비행에 성공함으로써 이러한 관심은 폭발적으로 증가하고 있다. 이것은 우주여행이라는 것이 민간에 의한 우주 개발의 노력으로 시도된다는 측면에서 기존의 패러다임, 즉, 우주 개발은 국가 주도 하에서만 가능하다는 기존의 패러다임을 부정하는 상당히 획기적인 사건이기 때문이었다. 따라서 민간주도의 우주여행 사업에 대해 미국을 중심으로 한 민간업체의 개발 동향과 함께 지구 저궤도 우주비행체에 대한 (응용) 시장의 (창출) 가능성, 법적인 측면, 사업적 관점, 그리고 기술적 관점에서 바라보고자 한다.

Zoning Suitability Analysis to Reduce First-flush Runoff Contamination in a Separated Sewer System (분류식 하수지역의 초기 유출수 오염저감을 위한 용도지구별 적지 분석)

  • This paper aim to reorganize zoning areas for decreasing first-flush runoff contamination in a separated sewer system via suitability analysis, and to simulate the discharge pollution loads of first-flush runoff using SWMM. For these purposes, diffuse pollution, which is accumulated on a surface and first-flush runoff flow were investigated. Suitability conditions for zoning were defined using the results of these investigation and suitable zoning areas were analyzed for the each condition. AHP analysis was conducted to establish weights of the suitability conditions. The most suitable zoning areas were analyzed via overlaying weights and suitability conditions. From the result, it was noted that the most suitable zones for detached houses & apartments are location they already occupied. Some school areas analyzed were found to be suitable as commercial centers. Some zones within the area analyzed were found to be suitable for commercial zones. From results obtained from simulation, the zone re-organization showed BOD and SS concentration to reduce from 91.2% to 0.09% ans 72.74% to 0.31% respectively.

Landscape Planning and Design Methods with Human Thermal Sensation (인간 열환경 지수(HumanThermal Sensation)를 이용한 조경계획 및 디자인 방법)

  • Human thermal sensation based on a human energy balance model was analyzed in the study areas, the Changwon and Nanaimo sites, on clear days during thesummer of 2009. The climatic input data were air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and solar and terrestrial radiation. The most effective factors for human thermal sensation were direct beam solar radiation, building view factor and wind speed. Shaded locations had much lower thermal sensation, slightly warm, than sunny locations, very hot. Also, narrow streets in the Nanaimo site had higher thermal sensation than open spaces because of greater reflected solar radiation and terrestrial radiation from their surrounding buildings. Calm wind speed also produced much higher thermal sensation, which reduced sensible and latent heat loss from the human body. By adopting climatic factors into landscape architecture, the human thermal sensation analysis method promises to help create thermally comfortable outdoor areas. The method can also be used for urban heat island modification and climate change studies.

A Case Study on Urban Regeneration Projects for Declined Industrial Districts in Downtown Area (도심 노후산업지구 도시재생사업 사례연구)

  • It is needed to regenerate declined industrial districts in downtown area through to invite new industry and to improve urban environment. The purpose of this paper was to make suggestions on the urban regeneration for the districts. I have taken a literature research and a site analysis with cases of 'the South Lake Union' in Seattle and 'Pearl District' in Portland, USA. The result of the analysis was as follows: (1) The land use was changed to mixed use of business-commerce-recreation. The building use was changed to facilities for work, play and live. (2) Infrastructures were improved for user oriented facilities such as pedestrian friendly street, public parks & open spaces, public transportation system, and life supporting facilities. (3) The place identity was enhanced through the preservation of urban structure-tissues, renovation of existing buildings, and preservation of historical heritages.

Urban Air Temperature Difference between Central Business District and Suburban Hill Footslope Village (도시상업업무중심지구와 산기슭마을의 기온차)

  • 도시화로 인해 도심지와 도시외곽간의 기온차가 더욱 심해지는 열섬현상은 폭염과 더불어 도시민의 쾌적한 삶을 저해하는 요소로 작용하여 이를 저감하기 위한 노력이 시행되고 있다. 도시 기온은 도시의 지형적 특성, 도시 수체의 규모와 위치 등에 의해 영향을 받고 있는 것으로 알려져 있어 도시외곽에 산림이 존재하는 도시에서는 이들 지역과 도심지와의 기온차이를 측정하여 바람길을 이용한 기후응용도시계획에 활용할 필요가 있다. 허나, 아직 국내에서는 이들 기온 차에 대한 특성을 조사한 연구가 많지 않다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 서울시 강남 지역을 대상으로 도심지 상업업무중심지구 두 곳(GNS, SLS)과 도시외곽 산기슭 마을 두 곳(YGD, GPT) 간의 기온 차를 2008년 4월 14일부터 2009년 4월 13일까지 1년간 관측한 자료를 대상으로 일 변동, 계절별 변동을 비교, 분석하였다. 분석결과 관측 기간 동안 YGD는 연평균기온이 GNS보다 $2.8^{\circ}C$ 낮았으며 열대야는 GNS, SLS가 16일인데 비해 GPT는 2일, YGD는 하루도 관측되지 않아 도시외곽의 산림이 도시기온 저감효과가 있음을 확인하였다.

Relation of Groundwater Quality to Land Use on Ulsan Urban area (토지이용도별 울산지역 지하수의 수질특성)

  • 216 groundwater samples for inorganic constituents and 168 samples for VOCs in the Ulsan urban ares and analyzed to relate groundwater chemistry to four land use zones, residence․commercial, industrial, agricultural, and forestry. In general, Na and Cl concentrations in groundwater were high in residence․commercial zone near Taehwa river due to residual saline. Although NO3 contents is high in agricultural zone and VOCs content is high in industrial zone, it seems difficult to relate groundwater pollution to land use zone. Even though groundwater pollution of the area is still low, continuous monitoring is necessary because the city is expanding.

  • The objective of this study is to provide a townscape design guideline that harmonized with a historic landscape via condition investigation and landscape analysis of the cultural /commercial environment district where an improvement is a necessity. The followings are the conclusions: 1.To enhance the identity of Gyeongju, should pursue diversity in unity by making the image of architectural landscape a similar peculiarity. 2.The central commercial district where the tradition is valued and contemporary figures meet the tradition needs a landscape formation by CONTEXT. 3.Since a characteristic of the target area is a regional commercial center, to reduce its congestion, reforming the area to simple environment is required. 4.Induce buildings located on the streets with cultural properties to have Korean traditional tiled roof in order to fit in with their surroundings. 5.Make it a rule to partition a wall into tripartition, the wall surface exposed should be the same finishing materials. 6.Consider the visual aspect of pedestrians and a building's width, the recommendable height of the facade should be 3~3.6m. 7.For the design archetype of cornice, four traditional types based on Korean traditional eaves are suggested. 8.The design of signboards should break existing square-shapes, and seek a design to take advantage of icons that historicity and traditionalist of the city are expressed.

A Study on Management Plans through Case Analysis of Residential Complexes in Commercial Areas in Daejeon (대전시 상업지역 주거복합건축물 사례 분석을 통한 관리방안 연구)

  • Recently, due to the location of residential complexes in commercial areas of large cities, the urban function is shifting from commercial to residential.In order to improve the use volume system in the commercial area of Daejeon Metropolitan City, the system of special and metropolitan cities was compared and analyzed, and problems were derived by analyzing 8 cases. First, use classification of mixed-residential buildings, Second, unbalance of urban planning for functional loss of commercial area, Thrid, damage on urban environment due to difference of development density. Accordingly, improvement measures include First, securing the ratio of residential function and mixed use at least 10%, Second, securing urban competitiveness by inducing facilities that combine various uses and functions. The overall floor area ratio of housing is applied, Third, the development density is presented through the establishment of the district unit plan and consultation.

  • The purposes of this study are to analyze changes in land value and land use of the surrounding area of Konkuk subway station and to suggest the direction of development of that area, which is designated as the micro planning district. KonKuk subway station which is one of nodes in subway line 2 will be completely connected to subway line 7 in 1998. Therefore, as a transfer station, the accessibility for KonKuk station would be increased very much due to the expansion of subway network system. This study analyzes land use types and land values within 200m from the four exits of the station and examines how subway station influences land use types and land values at surrounding areas. Based on the result of the current land use pattern and questionaire related to the direction for the future development of KonKuk subway area, this study suggests the effective and desired direction of development strategies in creating cultural environment appropriate for a university neighborhood.

Through this situation, the purpose of the this study is proposing the political suggestions that elicit the alternative of making the commercial environment fitted the avenue's attributes through the walking environment improvement proposition.
