Modal Parameter Extraction of Seohae Cable-stayed Bridge : I. Mode Shape (서해대교 사장교의 동특성 추출 : I. 모드형상)

  • This paper reports the mode shapes of Seohae cable-stayed bridge extracted by TDD technique. In order to record total 72 acceleration points in the vertical direction of the bridge deck, a custom made data acquisition system with LAN communication has been especially developed and a set of ambient vibration tests has been conducted. For the measured acceleration responses, total twenty four mode shapes up to 2Hz has been extracted by TDD technique. The extracted mode shapes include many new modes that have not been identified in the current on-line health monitoring system installed in the bridge. It is confirmed that TDD technique is the most effective in extracting the high resolution mode shapes on a particularly long span bridge.

  • The span deflection among the monitoring items of bridge measurement system in real time is representative behaviour and important index of superstructure condition. the limit of span deflection in Standard Specifications for Highway Bridge in Korea has been applied to the method that is making the management-criteria for span deflection in bridge measurement system. But the limit concern mainly serviceability of divers. So it is difficult to find the safety factor of the limit from the viewpoint of bridge safety. This study estimated the safety factor of the limit of span-deflection in Standard Specifications for Highway Bridge in Korea from the viewpoint of bridge safety by the indoor structural test.

  • 본 논문은 저전력 무선 임피던스 기반 구조물 건전성 감시 USN 시스템을 활용하여 electro-mechanical Impedance 센서의 일종인 PZT센서를 부착한 배관 구조물의 건전성을 진단하는 방법과 그 실험 결과에 대해 소개 한다. 기존에는 건설구조물에 가해지는 전기적인 입출력비에 해당하는 임피던스를 계측하기 위해서 비교적 고가의 대형 계측 장비가 필요로 했으며, 구조물에 설치된 센서를 계측장비에 연결하기 위한 유선의 케이블 작업 역시 추가로 필요했었다. 대형 배관 구조물의 경우에는 이러한 문제점 때문에 임피던스를 이용한 능동형 센서가 제대로 활용되지 못하고 있고 비정기적인 비파괴검사에만 국한되어 사용되어 왔다. USN기술은 저전력 소출력 무선통신을 통해 기존의 계측시스템과는 다른 상시모니터링의 장점을 가지고 있는 기술로서 최근 토목/건설 분야에서 적극적으로 활용이 되는 융합기술이다. 본 논문에서 구조물 건전성 감시 분야와 저전력 무선 계측 기술의 통합을 통해 얻어진 최적화된 배관 건전도 진단 센서 노드의 효율성을 정량적 실험 데이터를 통해 입증하고, 앞으로의 연구 방향에 대한 제안으로 끝을 맺는다.

  • 경부고속전철에서 사용되는 제동시스템의 성능 및 특성을 종합적이고 효율적으로 확인하기 위하여 차량 내에 상시 계측시스템을 구축하였으며, 차량의 제동과 관련된 측정과 평가는 경부고속전철이 상업 운행을 하는 차량이므로 구성품의 변경을 가져오지 않는 범위 내에서 수행하였다. 경부고속전철의 차량 내에 설치된 계측장비와 Lab VIEW로 개발된 계측프로그램을 이용하여 제동관련 데이터를 실시간으로 감시하고 측정하였다. 또한 차후에 분석프로그램을 통해 제동시스템의 성능 및 특성을 알아보기 위해 시운전 시험 중에 제동관련 데이터를 실시간으로 저장하였다. 본 논문은 경부고속전철의 전기제동에 대한 설계치와 실측치를 서로 비교하였으며, 이에 제동시스템의 성능을 정확하게 확인하고 검증할 수 있었다.

Estimation of Dynamic Characteristics of an Offshore Meteorological Tower using Ambient Measurements (상시계측을 통한 해상기상탑의 동적특성 평가)

  • In research conducted on a southwestern Korean offshore meteorological tower, acceleration datasets were gathered over half a year with time-history sensors. To enhance data credibility, a parallel measurement system was used for verification. A model of the tower was configured using beam elements, and with modifications accounting for added stiffness from auxiliary structures. Ground interactions were considered as calibrated springs based on soil layer properties. The tower's dynamic attributes and mass sensitivity were discerned using eigenvalue analysis. The structural natural frequency was consistent, with variations primarily due to new equipment adding approximately 1400 kgs. With free vibration damping assumptions, a damping ratio of roughly 1 % was derived.

  • Many civil and infrastructures continue to be used despite aging and the associated potential for damage accumulation. Therefore, the ability to monitor the health of these systems is becoming increasingly important. The purpose of this paper is to propose a real-time health monitoring system of cable-stayed bridge, based-on non-destructive measurement. And also this paper focuses on the safety assessment for bridge from health monitoring system to accomplish this safety assesment. Using the proposed health monitoring system, it helps bridge maintenance and reduces the economic cost of a life-cycle costs. Also it give important data to develop the design and analysis method for cable-stayed bridges.

  • 현재 한국형 고속전철은 시운전 시험 중에 있으며, 차량 내에 상시 계측시스템이 구성되어 있어서 차량의 전기장치 신호나 기계장치 신호를 획득하여 주행 및 제동에 관한 성능 및 특성을 분석하고 파악할 수 있다. 하지만 차량의 안전성, 승객의 승차감 확보와 궤도의 빠른 유지보수를 위해 궤도를 전문적으로 감시하고 검측하는 시스템은 구축되어 있지 않다. 그러므로 고속전철 차량에 설치되어 고속주행 중에 궤도를 종합적이고 효율적으로 측정하는 전문적인 계측시스템을 구성할 필요가 있다. 따라서 궤도틀림의 검측방법과 검측기구 및 그 원리를 이해하고 선진국의 궤도 검측기술을 파악하여 보았다.

Calibration of Health Monitoring System installed in the Railway Bridges (철도교 상시계측시스템의 교정 및 교정상수 설정에 관한 연구)

  • A health monitoring system becomes a useful tool to obtain information on long term behavior of the important railway structures such as very long span and special type bridges. The health monitoring system not only gives the direct measurement data of the railway bridges but also provides the basic data on the maintenance of the structures. Therefore, periodic calibrations of the health monitoring system will be a necessary step toward precise and accurate assessment of the railway bridges. In this study, the calibration and gauge factor readjustment process made for the health monitoring system installed in the railroad bridges is reviewed and some findings are explained in detail: specifically, the calibrators made for this purpose are illustrated and the regression processes of the calibration on long-term displacement using water level sensor, longitudinal displacement using LVDT sensor, instantaneous displacement using LVDT sensors and accelerometer are described in full length. Based on the regression results, it was found that the gauge factors need to be readjusted according to the regression equation but, since the deviation or shift is not serious so far, long-term observation on each sensor is also recommended. Future work will be concentrated on the long-term analysis of each sensor and on the database creation so that the assessment of the structures is possible.

  • This paper has studied about the development and application of landslide collapse prediction real-time monitoring system based on USN to detect and measure the collapse of landslide. The rainfall measuring sensor, gap water pressure sensor, indicator displacement measuring sensor, index inclination sensor, water content sensor and image analysis sensor are selected and these are applied on the test bed. Each sensor's operation and performance for reliability verification is tested by the instrument which is installed in the field. As the result, u-IT based real-time landslide monitoring system which is developed by this research for landslide collapse detection could minimize life and property damages because it makes advance evacuation with collapse risk pre-estimate through real-time monitoring on roadside cut and bedrock slopes. This system is based on the results of this study demonstrate the effect escarpment plan are spread throughout.

  • According to the using of electric power source such as solar cell, fuel cell and wind energy, consumer is supplied from distributed generator and electric power company. Therefore, it is required that the real-time measurement and control instrument for those distributed generator. In this paper, describes the development of measuring equipment for the power system with distributed generator. The equipment has real-time measure function and communication with PC via USB port, which is used for various purposes such as investigation of transient state, and is compared with measurement instrument to verify the reliability.
