Inversion of Resistivity Data using Data-weighting (자료 가중을 통한 전기비저항 탐사 자료의 역산)

  • All the resistivity data contain various kinds of noise. The major sources of noise in DC resistivity measurement are high contact resistance, measurement errors, and sporadic background noise. Thus, it is required to measure data noise to accurately interpret resistivity data. Reciprocal measurements can provide a measure of data precision and noise. In this study, we proposed a data-weighting method from reciprocity measurement. Furthermore, a data-weighting method using both the reciprocity error and data-misfit in the inversion process was studied. Applying the data-weighting method to the inversion of 3D resistivity data, it was confirmed that local anomalies are slightly suppressed in the final inversion results.

Improvement of Reverse-time Migration using Modified Receiver Aperture (수진기 배열 변경에 의한 역시간 구조보정 영상 개선 연구)

  • Using reciprocity theorem, one direction aperture of seismogram can be extended to full aperture seismogram. Modified seismogram is applied to reverse time migration only to acquire improved migration image. In this paper, we tested reverse time migration with the Marmousi velocity data to examine efficiency of modified seismogram. And linearly increasing velocity model is selected and examined for a case where velocity data is insufficient. When true velocity is applied, using modified seismogram enhances the reverse time migration image more than using original seismogram. In the case of using linearly increasing velocity model, migration image is distorted. So low frequency source is brought in migration process. Reverse time migration image with low frequency source and linearly increasing velocity model is improved when modified seismogram is used. From the result of study, seismogram modification by reciprocity theorem is useful and migration image can be enhanced.

Study on sound radiation estimation using a reciprocity technique and p-p method by finite element simulation (상반성 기법과 p-p method를 이용한 구조물 방사소음 유한요소해석 기법 연구)

  • Sound radiated from a structure in vibration is an important physical characteristic to evaluate vibro-acoustic problem. Although sound radiation power can be typically obtained by intensity measurement, long measuring time and strict measuring condition remain difficult. As an alternative method, simulation-based estimation can be taken into account and its accuracy is known to be acceptable. However, difficulty still lies in that specialized softwares may be necessary to obtain sound radiation power and radiation efficiency. In this context, this study suggests two methods using an ordinary FE method to calculate sound radiation power. They are well-known reciprocity technique and p-p method, which are basically test methods. It is shown that either method can practically estimate sound radiation in the frame of conventional Finite Element Method (FEM). The methods and their corresponding limit are discussed with some results.

Design and Performance Evaluation of a 10kW Scale Counter-Rotating Wind Turbine Rotor (10kW급 상반전 풍력터빈 로터의 설계와 성능 평가에 관한 연구)

  • The counter-rotating approach on wind turbine has been recently put in interest for its certain advantages in both design and performance. This paper introduces a study on a counter-rotating wind turbine designed and modeled using NREL airfoils S822 and S823. The aims of the study is to evaluate and discover the performance of the counter-rotating system, and compares to that of single rotor turbine of same design using numerical simulation. The results show higher performance of the counter-rotating system compared with single rotor case at TSR 3 to 5 but lower performance at higher TSR. This is due to the interaction between upstream and downstream rotors. Thus, the counter-rotating turbine is more efficient at low rotor rotational speed.

The Use of Vibro-acoustical Reciprocity to Estimate Source Strength and Airborne Noise Synthesis (구조-음향 상반성 원리를 이용한 공기기인 소음원의 강도 추정 및 소음 합성)

  • In this paper, an alternative method was introduced to conduct a transfer path analysis for airborne noise. The method used the transfer function matrix composed of acoustic transfer functions that are referenced by the input voltage of a calibration source. A calibration factor which is converting a virtual voltage to source strength was deduced by vibro-acoustical reciprocity theorem. The calibration factor is then multiplied to the virtual input voltage to estimate the operational source strength. Three loudspeakers were used to noise sources of acrylic half car model. The method was applied to airborne noise transfer path analysis of the half car. The estimated source strength by transfer path analysis was compared the deduced source strength by vibro-acoustical reciprocity to verify the method.

Noise Estimation in a Passenger Compartment and Trunk Coupled System by Using the Vibro-Acoustic Reciprocity (진동-음향 상반성을 이용한 차실-트렁크 연성계의 소음평가)

  • This paper describes the correlation between the interior noise and the trunk wall vibration. Using the vibro-acoustic reciprocity, effect of the trunk wall vibration on the compartment noise is investigated on a medium size car. In the low frequency range, vehicle interior noise is dominated by several acoustic modes of the passenger compartment and the vibration modes of the surrounding shell parts. Especially, vibration of the trunk wall radiates sound and it is transferred through holes on the package tray into the passenger compartment. This paper experimentally reveals that sound can be well produced at some particular vibration modes of the trunk lid and it strongly influences the compartment noise through package tray holes. Contributions of the trunk walls to the interior noise are estimated by measuring the acoustic-structural transfer function, based on the vibro-acoustical reciprocity theorem.

Investigation on Vibration Characteristics and Structural Reciprocity of Heunginjimun (흥인지문의 진동특성 및 상반성 분석)

  • Heunginjimun designated as a Treasure No.1 is a two-story wooden structure with 5 bay and 2 bay in its front and side views, respectively. This paper presents an investigation on vibration characteristics of Heunginjimun through both ambient vibration and impact hammer tests. Ambient vibration test was performed to identify the natural frequency of Heunginjimun from the spectrum analysis of time history. Impact hammer test was undertaken to find the frequency of Heunginjimun which is affected by the surrounding traffics and to verify the reciprocal principle for the wooden structural system. Ambient vibration test results of Heunginjimun showed that the natural frequencies in two principal axes 1.5 Hz and 1.1 Hz, respectively. It was confirmed from impact hammer tests for a ground that the frequency of 4.2 Hz is caused by the traffics surrounding Heunginjimun. It was also observed that from the impact hammer test results between two locations in Heunginjimun that the transfer functions measured from two corresponding locations coincided well with each other. This result shows that the wooden structural system is globally linear, and the reciprocal principle is established.

최근의 용접용 고장력 강재의 기술동향

  • 고장력 강재의 요구특성은 고강도, 고인성, 고내식성 외에 양호한 용접성 등으로 요약될 수 있다. 이러한 특성은 서로 상반된 특성으로서 고강도에 치중하다 보면 인성과 용접성이 저하하는 경향이 나타난다. 특히 고장력 강재를 이용하여 구조물 조립시는 용접공법이 이용되는데 이러한 용접시 열사이클로 인해 고장력 강재의 기계적 특성의 열화현상이 수반되며 이러한 현상은 고강고 강재일수록 현저하게 된다. 따라서 이와 같은 서로 상반된 요구특성을 어떻게 개선하느냐 하는 것이 고장력 강재 개발에 있어 가장 중요한 요건이라 할 수 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 현재로서는 탄소당량을 낮게 유지하고 결정립 미세화를 위한 각종 원소의 첨가처리, 고순도 강재 제조기술 및 각종 조질 열처리 기술이 개발되어 있으며 최근에 이르러 TMCP(thrmo-mechanical controlled process)방법이 개발되어 고장력 강재의 기계적 특성향상에 큰 발전을 가져오게 되었다.
