An Analysis of Online Readers' Advisory Services Offered by Public Libraries (공공도서관의 온라인 독자상담 서비스에 관한 연구)

  • Due to the rapid advancement of information technology and changes in the reading environment, the readers' advisory services provided by public libraries are facing challenges and opportunities. Recognizing the need for public libraries to respond and propel their services forward, this study analyzed the current status of online readers' advisory services offered by public libraries in Korea and discusses areas that require improvement. To achieve this, the study analyzed the online readers' advisory services in 50 public libraries located in Seoul and six metropolitan cities (Incheon, Daejeon, Daegu, Gwangju, Busan, and Ulsan) across seven categories. These categories encompass various aspects, such as announcing reading programs and new books, identifying and addressing reader needs, developing content by librarians, generating content by readers, providing guidance on external reading information, connecting with professional book review databases and online websites, and utilizing social media services. Through this analysis, the study identified areas for improvement to enhance online readers' advisory services in public libraries and ultimately improve reader satisfaction. It suggested enhancing activities such as librarians' book recommendations and reviews for individual readers, reader participation, and interaction.

  • 수준 높은 공공서비스를 제공받고자 하는 국민의 권리의식이 향상되고 정보기술의 급속한 발전에 따라 고객의 요구사항이 다양하다. 신속하고 정확한 상담의 서비스를 제공하기 위한 수단으로서 콜센터에 대한 필요성이 높아지고 있다. 공공기관의 고객접점인 콜센터에서 근무하는 상담원들의 직무특성과 직무태도를 통하여 직무만족과 이직의도에 대한 상관관계를 분석하고자 한다. 이직의도를 낮추기 위해서는 상사의 관심과 지원이 중요한 요소로 나타났다. 본 연구의 의의는 고객접점을 운영함에 있어서 직무상 발생하는 스트레스를 효율적으로 관리하여 상담원의 직무만족을 증대시켜 이직의도를 낮추는데 기여하고자 한다.

  • 과제 지향 대화 시스템은 발화 의도 및 요구사항을 파악하여 사용자가 원하는 과제를 달성한다는 점에서 유용하다. 대화 상태 추적은 과제 지향 대화 시스템의 핵심 모듈이며, 최근에는 텍스트뿐만 아니라 시각 정보까지 활용하여 대화 상태를 추적하는 멀티모달 대화 상태 추적 연구가 활발히 진행되는 중이다. 본 논문에서는 멀티모달 공황장애 상담 대화 속 내담자의 상태를 추적하는 과제를 제안하였다. ChatGPT를 통한 멀티모달 공황장애 상담 과제 지향 대화 데이터셋 구축 프레임워크와, 구축한 데이터셋의 품질을 증명하기 위한 분석도 함께 제시하였다. 사전학습 언어 모델인 GPT-2를 벤치마크 데이터셋에 대해 학습한 성능을 측정함으로써 향후 멀티모달 대화 추적 성능이 능가해야 할 베이스라인 성능을 제시하였다.

The Effect of Job Stress on Job Intention of Vocational Counselors : Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Job Satisfaction (직업상담사의 직무스트레스가 이직의도에 미치는 영향 : 직무만족의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the impact of job stress on job turnover intention through job satisfaction for vocational counselors working in private and employment centers in Korea. This study applied the significance sampling method, and the number of samples used in the maximum analysis was 167 copies, and statistical analysis was conducted using the SPSS 20.0 program. In order to verify the relationship between each variable, four hypotheses were established, and empirical analysis and surveys were conducted. As a result of the analysis, first, among the sub-factors of job stress of vocational counselors, job demands, organizational systems, and workplace culture had a significant positive (+) effect on turnover intention. Second, among the sub-factors of job stress, job demand, lack of job autonomy, and organizational system were found to have a significant negative (-) effect on job satisfaction. Third, job satisfaction was found to have a significant negative (-) effect on turnover intention. Fourth, it was found that job satisfaction partially mediates complete mediation with job factors, which are sub-factors of job stress, with the organizational system. Therefore, it can be seen that job stress of vocational counselors is a factor affecting turnover intention and job satisfaction. Based on these analysis results, the implications of the study, suggestions to reduce the intention to change jobs due to stress of vocational counselors, and limitations of the study were presented.

Occupational advice from vocational counselors for adults who stutter and associated factors (직업상담사의 말더듬 성인에 대한 직업 추천 양상과 관련 요인 분석)

  • This study aimed to primarily examine perceptions about occupational suitability made by vocational counselors for adults who stutter and associated factors. A total of 69 vocational counsellors (23 per condition) took part in this study and were randomly assigned to recordings related to three different speech conditions (fluent, less-severe stuttering, and severe stuttering versions). The participants were asked to listen to one of the three recordings and rate the speaker's communicative functioning, personal attributes, and suitability for 31 occupations, along with perceptions of the speaking demands and educational requirements of the occupations. Regarding the two stuttering conditions, it was found that suitability ratings were lower for occupations with a high speaking demand than those with a low speaking demand. In addition, the most significant factor associated with occupational suitability ratings was perceived speaking demands, followed by perceived educational requirements, and then by ratings of the speaker's personal attributes. These findings suggest that adults who stutter may face role entrapment (or occupational stereotyping) in workplace settings.

Analysis of Nursing Needs of Home-dwelling Breast Cancer Patients Based on Counselling Contents (상담일지에 근거한 재가 유방암 환자의 간호요구도 내용분석)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to identify the nursing needs of home-dwelling breast cancer patients based on counseling contents. Methods: Descriptive research was conducted with content analysis. This study included 185 patients who underwent treatment for breast cancer in a tertiary hospital. The data were collected using personal counseling via telephone or face-to-face between March 2011 and July 2013. A total of 536 counseling contents were used in the analysis. Inductive content analysis was used to analyze the contents related to nursing counselling. Results: According to the results. the most frequently reported nursing needs was symptom management, followed by information needs and supportive intervention needs; symptom management needs included symptoms related to chemotherapy, daily living, surgery, and medication side effects; information needs included treatments, medication, clinical tests, and alternative therapies; and supportive intervention needs were related to emotional and social aspects. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that nursing interventions for home-dwelling breast cancer patients should be designed and provided with a consideration to these relevant nursing needs.

Design and Implementation of the Multi-Agent System based on JATLite (JATLite 기반 멀티 에이전트 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • 기존의 웹 기반 의료 서비스는 환자 자신이 직접 해당 사이트를 찾아 읽어보고 의사들과 e-mail로 상담하는 수준이었다. 환자는 자신의 증상과 유사한 정보가 어디에 있는지 알아야 하고 의사들은 e-mail을 일일이 읽고 답해 주어야만 한다. 그러나 메일 에이전트, 진단 에이전트 등이 존재하는 멀티 에이전트 시스템이 개발된다면 기존의 web 기반 의료 서비스의 단점을 보완할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 JATLite 기반의 멀티 에이전트 시스템을 설계하여 자동으로 e-mail을 분석, 분류, 전달, 진단하는 시스템을 개발하였다. 제안된 멀티 에이전트는 메일 에이전트, 진단 에이전트, 중재 에이전트 등으로 구성된다. 메일 에이전트는 환자의 상담, 요청, 증상 등을 분석하여 해당하는 진단 에이전트에게 전달하는 일을 한다. 진단 에이전트는 지식베이스를 이용하여 환자의 요구사항에 가장 적절한 진단을 하게 된다. 중재 에이전트는 에이전트의 상태를 파악하여 작업을 지시하고 메일 에이전트와 진단에이전트간의 통신을 관리한다.

Research Trends on Counseling by Teacher and Professor: Focused on the Last 10 Years (2006-2015) (일반 교사와 대학교수의 상담에 대한 국내 연구 동향: 최근 10년간 연구를 중심으로)

  • The Counselor's role as educator has been considered importantly. This article reviewed research trends on counseling by general teacher and professor who are not professional counselor, over the past decade (2006-2015). 80 studies were analyzed by year, research topics, and analysis methods. The results were as follows: First, the studies were accomplished continually from 2006 to 2015. The number of studies were mostly about the elementary school (60.9%). Second, the research topics on needs and current state of school (college) counseling were in the majority (73.8%). Third, most of the research (91.3%) used a quantitative statistical analysis method. Implication on the results, the limitation of this study and future direction were suggested.

Factors Associated with Burnout of Korean Child Protective Service Workers (아동학대예방센터 상담원의 소진관련 요인에 관한 연구)

  • Relations of factors associated with burnout were investigated among 124 child protective service workers currently working in Korean Child Abuse Prevention Centers nationwide. Three categories of factors associated with burnout were examined; (1) individual characteristics, (2) job-related characteristics, and (3) job-satisfaction. Social survey method using questionnaires by mail was employed. MBI(Maslach Burnout Inventory) for measuring burnout, a part of Smith, Kendal & Hulin's JDI(Job Description Index) for job-satisfaction, and a scale measuring the special characteristics of job developed by researchers were used. Mann-Whitney test and Kruskal-Wallis test were employed to analyze the data. Across all burnout sub-scales(emotional depletion, dehumanization of clients, lack of feelings of achievement), subjects reported a high degree(above the cutting point) of burnout. Several factors were identified as associated with burnout. Child protective service workers who are young, single with front line worker status reported higher burnout. Lack of education and training before the job location were another factors which contributed to worker burnout. Lack of proper supervision stood out as another burnout provoking factor. Job-satisfaction was negatively correlated with all three burnout sub-scales, which meant the lower the job-satisfaction, the higher the burnout of service workers. The findings implicate that the administrators of Child Abuse Prevention Centers should pay close attention to their workers' sign of burnout and develop carefully designed support system which include provision of excellent supervision, proper education and training opportunities and organizational effort to strengthen employees' overall job-satisfaction to secure their quality of services toward abused children and their family.
