  • It's very difficult to acquire the accurate GCP(Ground Control Point) in the urban center and forest aerial photo because of occurring of irregular multi-path error. Thr purpose of this study is to apply the GPS and the EDM system for 3D orthophoto in the small areas. GCPs surveyed by accuracy triangulation from EDM after from triangulation points to a fiducial point at study area used to GPS. And I have a comment on how to use areal orthophoto for future 3D-GIS after 3D-Modelling using areal orthophoto. As the results, EDM surveying could resolve multi-path error according to GPS surveying and It is possible for using aerial orthophoto on the basis of the 3D-GIS database.

  • The coordinates of triangulation stations which has been used in Korea, were computed by means of the Gauss Conformal Double Projection in the 1910's. This projection has been considered as a problem in respect of accuracy, because the farther a station is from the origin, the larger the computational error becomes. In this paper, the Gauss Conformal Double Projection is compared with the T.M(Transverse Metcator) Projection which is widely used in many countries. In T.M projection method more accurate ground coordinates are obtained. This paper has an objective to improve the accuracy of public surveying by using the method presented in this paper.

  • This study aims to draw a technique for practical using of GPS surveying to decide the positions of cadastrial control points. GPS surveying is carried out at cadastrial triangulation points and supplementary control points. This paper includes characteristics of transformation of WGS84 into Tokyo datum, two dimensional solutions for GPS baseline vector, and combined solutions of both GPS and terrestrial data. As a results of this study, it is verifiable that GPS surveying is very efficient to check the existing control network. 2-D network adjustment technique using GPS baseline vector is applicable to Tokyo datum without coordinate transformation. And it is expected to improve efficiency by using either rapid-static or stop and go kinematic surveying in cadastrial surveying at small areas.

  • In building geographic information for North Korea, we proposed the method of using SPOT-5 image, designed geographic information layers, and inspected the location accuracy. Basically this study is similar to existing method in which uses GCPs to build geographic information from SPOT-5 satellite imagery. However, this study adopted a different method of GCP acquisition. The GCP used in this study is a triangulation point which was made at Japanese imperialism eras. The location accuracy error was 8.755 meters horizontally, which satisfied the tolerance of 17.5 meters in the 1:25,000 scale public survey guidance. In conclusion, we suggest that geographic information for North Korea can be built from SPOT-5 images with the triangulation point made in Japanese imperialism times.

  • As data acquisition using unmanned aerial vehicles is widely used, as one of the ways to increase the accuracy of photogrammetry using unmanned aerial vehicles, a method of inputting both vertical and oblique images in bundle adjustment of aerial triangulation has been proposed. In this study, in order to find a suitable method for increasing the accuracy of photogrammetry, the accuracy of the case of adjusting the oblique images taken at different shooting angles and the case of adjusting the oblique images with different shooting angles at the same time with the vertical images were compared. As a result of the study, it was found that the error of the checkpoint decreases as the angle of the input oblique images increases. In particular, when the vertical images and oblique images are used together, the height error decreases significantly as the angle of the oblique images increases. The current 『Aerial Photogrammetry Work Regulation』 requires RMSE (Root Mean Square Error), which is the same as GSD (Ground Spatial Distance) of a vertical image. When using an oblique images with a shooting angle of 50°, a result close to this standard is obtained. If the vertical images and the 50° oblique images were adjusted at the same time, the work regulations could be satisfied. Using the results of this study, it is expected that photogrammetry using low-cost cameras mounted on unmanned aerial vehicles will become more active.

  • This research addresses the experimental application of the digital close-range photogrammetric technique for 3D deformation measurement and visualization of road slope. The 3D displacements were extracted by the photo-triangulation based on the bundle adjustment method using the digital imagery. In addition, we produced the digital elevation models, the digital orthorectified images and the 3D perspective view images of the slope employing a digital photogrammetric workstation. Also the inclination map of the slope was generated as the data for monitoring and managing dangerous slopes.

  • This study attempts to measure effectively three dimensional deformation in road slopes using digital close-range photographs. After the still video images were acquired respectively on the same multi-station geometric configuration in two epoches, photo-triangulation was rallied out respectively by conventional standard bundle adjustment and free-net bundle adjustment and the computed results were compared with those of geodetic method by total station. Three dimensional coordinates and deformation amounts were able to be derived with the RMSE of sub-millimeter and the relative accuracy of $1/30,000{\sim}1/35,000$. It was shown that free-net bundle adjustment is about 13% higher than standard bundle adjustment in the accuracy of photo-triangulation. It was ascertained that the free-net technique is able to promote fast and accurate deformation surveying without the necessity of geodetic control survey in complicated industrial sites.

  • The 3-D shape use to effect of movie, animation, industrial design, medical treatment service, education, engineering etc... But it is not easy to make 3-D shape from the information of 2-D image. There are two methods in restoring 3-D video image through 2-D image; First the method of using a laser; Second, the method of acquiring 3-D image through stereo vision. Instead of doing two methods with many difficulties, I study the method of simple 3-D image in this research paper. We present here a simple and efficient method, called direct calibration, which does not require any equations at all. The direct calibration procedure builds a lookup table(LUT) linking image and 3-D coordinates by a real 3-D triangulation system. The LUT is built by measuring the image coordinates of a grid of known 3-D points, and recording both image and world coordinates for each point; the depth values of all other visible points are obtained by interpolation.

  • Recently, the direct georeferencing has been becoming a common method in the aerial photogrammetry. As this direct georeferencing method using converged sensor of the digital photogrammetry camera and GPS(Global Positioning System)/INS(Inertial navaigation System), more rapid and accurate aerial photogrammetry has improved following advanced performance in photogrammetry. Since the accuracy of EO parameters from the direct georeferencing is determined by GPS/INS accuracy, it is significant to calculate the exact attitude information using values of INS rotations. For following calculations, the misalignment, such as INS rotation and the gap of GPS/INS, has to be decided. Because the number of ground control points are used for tirangulation and boresight calibration, those results should be different according to array and location of ground control points. In the study, those location and array of ground control points were tested to be used boresight calibration. As a result, there is no significant change of misalignment and exterior orienation parameters in the case when ground control points were at all course. On the contrarily, the difference has been shown in the case of no ground control point at course.

  • This paper proposes a novel path finding approach of a mobile robot using RF strength in sensor network. In the experiments based on the proposed method, a mobile robot attempts to find its location, heading direction and the shortest path in the indoor environment. The experimental system consisting of mesh network shares node data and send them to base station. The triangulation and the proposed Grid method calculate the location and heading angle of the robot. In addition, the robot finds the shortest path by using the base station attached on it to receive data of environment around each node. Kalman filter reduces the straight line error when the robot estimates the strength of received signal. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
