Study on the Characteristics of Noise/Vibration in the Upright Laying Hen House (직립식 산란계사 내의 소음 진동 발생 현황 조사연구)

  • This study was carried out to measure and analyze the characteristics of noise and vibration, and to analyze their effects on the productivity of layers, mechanical troubles, and abnormal wear-out failure of facilities and equipment of the layer house. The measurements of noise and vibration were taken at 13 layer farms nationwide for the operations of feed supplier system, feed distribution system, automatic egg collection system, ventilation system, blot conveyer for layer feces, and fur the case of with and without their operation by a sound level meter and a vibration measuring system in the layer house equipped with upright multi-tier cages. Measurement results showed that normal times were noise(N) 82 dB and vibration(V) 0.2072 cm/s, feed supplier system were 90 dB(N) and 2.8560 cm/s(V), feed distribution system were 90 dB(N) and 2.0222 cm/s(V), automatic egg collection system were 87 dB(N) and 0.1865 cm/s(V), ventilation system 88 dB(N) and 2.5364 cm/s(V), belt conveyer fur layer feces were 88 dB(N) and 0.2387 cm/s(V), and then maximum values of noise and vibration were 90 dB and 2.8560 cm/s, respectively, when feeding systems(feed supplying system and feed distribution system) were operated. Based on these results, an experiment is being conducted to find out the effect of noise and vibration on the productivity of layers in the layer house equipped with upright multi-tier cages.

고온(高溫)이 닭에 미치는 영향

  • 양계산업의 최근 추이는 열대 및 아열대지방에까지 현대식 계사가 건축되어 연중가동이 되고 있다. 이렇게 더운 지역에서는 계사내를 인위적으로 환경조절을 해야 하기 때문에 많은 주의가 요구되고 있다. 환경 조절을 할 때에 주의를 해야 할 점으로는 계사내 온도와 습도를 조절하는 것이며 또한 환기조절을 꼽을 수 있다. 계사내 환경을 알맞게 해주기 위해서는 닭의 생리기전, 열의 발생, 산란성 등에 미치는 영향을 잘 파악해야 하는데 어떤 문제가 발생하였을 경우에 개선대책을 세워야 할 필요가 있기 때문이다.

  • 난가공 전문회사 농업회사법인 세양(주)은 친환경 신선한 계란을 생산하기위해 21만수 규모의 산란계농장을 설립했다. 지난해 3월 충북 음성군 삼성면에 착공을 시작으로 그해 10월 첫입식과 함께 지금은 한창 산란피크를 올리고 있다. 이 농장은 1개동 계사에 21만수 전수사육이 가능하도록 최신식 무창계사를 신축했고, 무엇보다 환기와 차단방역에 중점을 둔 시설설비로 총 74억 원의 어마어마한 투자 비용이 소요되면서 주목받고 있다. 농업회사법인 세양(주) 음성농장(이하 음성농장)의 강구만 대표를 만나 농장에 대해 보다 자세히 들어 보았다.

  • 최근 산란계사육수수 증가와 계란소비 정체, 원가에도 못 미치는 계란가격으로 산란계농장의 어려움은 말로 표현할 수 없다. 특히나, 소규모 농장들의 피해와 고충은 그 체감이 더 심하게 보인다. 계란생산량의 70% 정도가 유통상인들에 의해 유통되고 있으며 생산자들에게 불합리한 유통구조로 인해 농가에서는 적정 계란가격 수취가 어렵다. 이런 가운데 충북 충주에서 25,000수의 소규모로 산란계농장을 운영하는 양계2세 최종록(35세) 사장의 예원농장을 찾아가 보았다.

Comparison of Particulate Matter and Ammonia Emission in Different Types of Laying Hen Poultry Houses during Spring (봄철 산란계사 사육형태별 미세먼지 및 암모니아 농도 비교)

  • This study was conducted to determine the concentrations of particulate matter (PM) and NH3 emissions from different types of laying hens poultry houses during spring. The concentrations of PM and NH3 were measured three times (2-week intervals; March to May) in Floor-pen-, Aviary-, and Cage-type poultry houses. Overall, PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations were found to be low from 22:00 to 04:00. The PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations in Floor-pen and Cage houses were similar with no significant daily deviation. NH3 concentrations measured over 24 h at the center and end of Floor-pen house were relatively constant. Irrespective of measurement location, NH3 concentrations were the lowest in Floor-pen house. Moreover, NH3 concentrations were higher at the end of Floor-pen and Aviary houses than that at the center; however, lower concentrations of NH3 were detected at the end of Cage house. The concentrations of PM10 and PM2.5 around the poultry houses were 57.5 and 34.0 ㎍/m3, respectively, with the daily average PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations (4,730 and 447.7 ㎍/m3, respective) being the highest in Aviary house. The concentrations of NH3 at the center and end of Cage house were the highest at 12.0 and 9.31 ppm, respectively. Furthermore, in Cage house, the emission factor of NH3 was the lowest, whereas there was no significant difference on that of NH3. In conclusion, among the three types of poultry houses assessed, PM (PM10, PM2.5) concentrations were higher in Aviary house, whereas NH3 concentrations were higher in Cage house.
