This study aims to analyze the causal relationship among teaching, cognitive, social presence and the learning outcome. It also provides the base data on the development of cyber education and its management strategies. During the first semester of 2009, 802 students at W cyber university completed surveys about their learning experience in teaching presence, cognitive presence, social presence, and learning outcome. The results indicated that there was a meaningful effect of teaching presence and cognitive presence on satisfaction, and that of cognitive presence on academic achievement. Based on these results, this study suggests instructional design methods and management strategies to improve the quality of learning in cyber universities.

초고속 인터넷의 보급으로 인터넷이 너무나 다양하고 친숙한 관계로 우리에게 다가왔으며 휴대폰이나 PDA의 등장으로 무선인터넷에 관심을 많이 가지게 되었다. 그러나 무선인터넷 기술을 우리 생활에 유익한 도구로 활용하기 위해서 다양한 연구활동이 이루어지고 있으나 교육적 도구로 활용하기 위한 연구는 아직까지 미비한 편이다. 본 연구는 무선인터넷 기술을 교육 목표 달성을 위한 도구로 활용하기 위해서 사이버 강의 시스템을 구축하였다. 사이버 강의 시스템의 특징은 첫째, 이동통신 단말기의 특성을 고려하여 시스템을 설계하였다. 둘째, 유 무선인터넷 사이트를 연계하여 정보를 전달하고 관리하게 하였다. 셋째, 다양한 언어로 제작하여 각기 다른 회사의 언어에 지원할 수 있게 제작하였다 넷째, 영어학습, 국어학습, 과학학습을 할 수 있는 정보제공 사이트를 설계하였다.

인터넷의 빠른 보급으로 인해 사이버 교육 사이트가 늘어나고 있다. 사이버 교육의 장점은 언제 어디서나 손쉽게 인터넷 사이트에 접속하여 교육을 받을 수 있다는 점이다. 그러나, 사이버 교육에는 해결해야 할 문제점들이 있는바, 그 문제점 중의 하나는 학생의 수학 능력을 평가하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 출제자가 컴퓨터로 입력한 문제에 대한 정보와 출제 기준을 구문분석하고, 정해진 형식에 맞추어 서버를 통해 저장해둠으로써 각각의 학습자가 편리한 시간에 통신에 접속하여 응시할 때마다, 출제자가 학습자에게 요구하는 평가형식으로 저장된 문제정보를 불러와서, 매번 다른 유형의 문제들을 화면상에 출력시킨다. 어떤 경우에도 새로운 문제 유형으로 시험을 공정하고 효과적으로 평가할 수 있도록 구현되어졌다. 시험평가부에서 시험문제에 대한 해설을 덧붙여 시험후의 학습 효과를 이룰수 있도록 했다.

우리나라의 경우에서처럼 인터넷 인프라 환경을 이용한 e-러닝은 교육인적자원부의 사이버가정학습을 시작하여, 사설 학원에서 수익모델로 많은 e-러닝 콘텐츠가 개발되어 상용화 되고 있다. 대학에서는 사이버 대학 및 사이버 과목을 수강하여 공식적인 학점으로 인정을 받은 단계는 정착화 되고 있는 실정이지만, 아직 활용도 차원에서는 활발한 활동이 이루어지지는 않는 것으로 본문의 'e-러닝학습의 문제점'을 보면서 알 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 특히 대학교육의 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 e-러닝을 접목하여 새로운 교육의 패러다임을 적용한 u-러닝 활용방안을 연구하고 앞으로 e-러닝의 발전방향을 연구하고자 한다.

The Purposes of this study were to compare the level of study habits and test anxiety between gifted middle-school students and non-gifted and to find out the correlation between study habits and test anxiety in two groups. The total participants of this study were 437 middle school students. One hundred eighty three students (127 boys, 56 girls) belonged to gifted group who were enrolled in Cyber Education Center for Math & Science Gifted Students of KAIST in Daejeon. And two hundred fifty four (128 boys, 126 girls) were non-gifted group who were from the middle school in Seoul City and Gyeonggi province. The results revealed that the level of study habits of gifted middle school students was higher than that of non-gifted. And gifted group felt lower level of test anxiety than non-gifted group. Additionally gifted boys showed significantly higher level of study skills application behavior than gifted girls.

The purpose of this study is to identify the causal relationship among perceived instrumentality, mastery goal orientation, self-regulated learning and academic achievement in cyber education. 317 current students of the W cyber university participated in the study. The results of structural equation modeling analysis are as follows: First, endogenous instrumentality affects mastery goal orientation. Second, mastery goal orientation affects self-regulated learning. Third, while exogenous instrumentality had negative effect on academic achievement, self-regulated learning was the only variable that had positive effect on academic achievement. In addition, the result indicated that endogenous instrumentality had indirect effect on academic achievement and self-regulated learning mediated between mastery goal orientation and academic achievement.

최근 IT기술의 발전, 대학 교육의 글로벌화 등의 추세는 대학의 이러닝(e-learning) 형태의 교육을 촉진하고 있다. 국내향후 연구에서는 17개의 사이버대학은 이러닝 형태의 교육을 제공하고 있는데, 최근 재학생 수가 크게 증가하고 있다. 이에 사이버대학들은 우수한 강의 제공을 위해 학생-교수간의 다양한 상호작용에 대해서 연구하고 있다. 본 연구는 사이버대학의 LMS(Learning Management System)에 온라인 채팅 서비스를 최초로 도입하여, 시스템을 구축하였다. 본 연구에서는 온라인 채팅과 학습만족과의 관계에 대해서 검증하고, 강의질 개선을 위한 전략을 도출하고자 한다.
