The Effects of Perception Toward Cyber Identity on Loyalty and Purchase Intention (사이버 공간의 자아에 대한 인지가 충성도와 구매의도에 미치는 영향)

  • In this paper, we investigate the concept of cyber identity built in cyberspace and analyze the effects of general perception toward cyber identity on loyalty and purchase intent. Cyber identity is classified into two types: personal and social cyber identity, and has five components. Avatars and online gaming capability make up personal cyber identity while online communities and instant messenger count as social cyber identity. We regard blog personalities as having both personal and social characteristics. In our survey, we conclude that internet users want to purchase cyber items such as avatars, online game items, and wallpaper pictures to enhance their cyber identities. Based on the survey results , we derive five factors comprising personal cyber identity and social cyber identity using factor analysis and analyze overall effects of cyber identity on loyalty and purchase intention using Structural Equation Model.

  • 본 연구는 사이버 공간에서 자아에 대한 인지를 두 가지 측면에서 조사하고 이러한 인지와 구매의도 간 어떠한 연관성을 가지는지 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 먼저 사이버 자아를 외향적 자아와 내향적 자아로 분류하였고 두 가지 자아에 대한 인지를 파악하기 위하여 사회적 네트워킹 서비스(Social Networking Service)를 제공하는 5사의 서비스 이용자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 아울러 이러한 두 가지 자아에 대한 인지와 구매의도와의 연관성 여부를 밝히기 위하여 설문내용에 구매의도와 관련된 문항을 함께 제시하여 응답을 얻었다. 설문 분석결과, 사이버 자아에 대한 인지와 구매의도 간 상관관계를 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 초등학교 학급 홈페이지에 아바타를 접목시켜, 초등학교 학생들의 홈페이지에의 몰입 및 사이버 자아개념에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 한다. 학급 홈페이지를 구축, 활용하는 이유가 학교 교육 현장에서 이루어지는 교과 지도와 생활 지도를 온라인 상으로 확장하고 시간과 공간을 초월하여 지속적으로 지도하고자 하는 것에 있다고 볼 때, 방과 후 학생들의 자발적인 참여 및 활동이 필수적이다. 이러한 점에 착안하여 아바타를 접목시켜 활용하는 것이 과연 학생들의 학급 홈페이지에의 몰입 요소로써 작용할 수 있는지를 알아보는 것은 의미 있는 일이라 생각된다. 또한 사이버 공간에서의 새로운 자아 표현으로 여겨지는 아바타가 초등학생의 사이버 자아(cyber-self)에 어떤 영향을 주는가를 파악하는 것은 또 하나의 사회로 구축되어지고 있는 사이버 공간을 어떻게 받아들여야하는가에 대한 교육적 시사점을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

Effect of Internet Environment and Gender on Online Sexual Violence. (사이버 성폭력에 대한 인터넷과 성의 영향)

  • This study set out to investigate the effect of internet environment and gender on online sexual violence. The final sample size was 436 college students in Gwangju city, South Korea. Hierarchical regression analysis was used for analysis. The major findings of this study are as follows. First, more frequent usage of internet influenced directly increase of online sexual violence, and influenced also indirectly through favorable attitudes to deviance. Third, gender did not influence online sexual violence directly, but influenced indirectly. Male students' more favorable attitude to deviance affected more frequent online sexual violence. These results suggest that internet environment play a role in facilitating online sexual violence through normalizing or justifying online sexual deviance. And gender also affect online sexual violence indirectly through male students' more favorable attitudes to deviance rather than female. And limitations and implications of this study were discussed with respect to further studies.

  • The availability of computers and the wide network of the internet of the 'Information Society' has created a new space: Cyberspace. In this situations, the matters of individual identities and morality are more important problems. Korean classical novel, Gu Wun Mong, embodied the exploration process of identities in virtual spaces, has gravity of a situation. Seong Jin, the hero experienced the life of Yang so you went throughing virtual life, be born again. And he met eight taoist fairy in that virtual world. In this process, Seong Jin overcame a dualistic world of view and established identity of genuine truth-seeker. The 'Dream-fantasy' experience differentiation real world and virture world and give to Seong Jin a new identity, So You. Seong Jin used avatar, So You was free from limits of self and became obtain multiple personalities. Finally, Seong Jin realized the fact that real world and virtual one is the same, for development self-perception. Seong Jin's enlightment provided solutions for modern netizens, who is ambivalent about contradiction the real and virtual, infinity and clash of desire.

  • This study aims to examine the realistic self-esteem of adolescents and perception of adolescents toward avatar in an attempt to understand basic aspects of their distinctive lifestyle fundamentally relative to the cyber culture on the web, given that the adolescent which is significant in forming self-esteem period plays an important role in the psychological aspect of adolescents. As for method of research, this study analyzed the self-esteem of users, their preference for avatar, and the perception toward avatar, in order to understand their psychological and social maturity. The result of study indicated that the increased self-esteem in reality among the adolescents led to the increased preference for avatar relative to the cyber culture on the web, which in turn increased the recognition of others' avatars. Those findings suggest that adolescents tend to assign self-esteem to avatar as great as themselves. Thus, it may be important to help adolescents form their self identity from the perspective psychological maturity, so that a sound and healthy web culture can be formed depending on the formation and level of self-esteem among adolescents.

Analysis of Psychological Factors Inducing Cybercrime (사이버범죄를 유발하는 심리적요인 분석)

  • This study attempted to find individual reasons for inducing cybercrime. The survey was conducted targeting investigators and security experts on 11 types of cybercrime. There are 16 internal factors that cause crime and classified according to Maslow's 5 steps. As a result of the survey on a total of 176 items, the credibility of the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient was 0.925. The result of the factor analysis is as follows. Factor analysis results are maslow phase 1 physiological desire is commercial, sykes. Phase 2 safety desires are not punishable and crowd. The three-stage social desire is impulsiveness, indifference, etc. The fourth stage of respect is anonymity and honor. The desire for self-reality in stage 5 has been reduced to indesity, a loss of moderation, morality, and media effects. In conclusion, the physiological desire, the desire for respect for the crime of infringing on the information and communication network, the desire for menstruation, the desire for self-realization for the crime of using information and communication networks, the desire for self-actualization for the crime of illegal content. It was in the order of desire.

Developing Self-awareness Through Cyber Study and Cyber Reading Activities: A Case Study with the Electronic Library 'Booktoby' (사이버 학습을 활용한 학생의 자아정체성 확인에 관한 연구: 북토비 사례를 중심으로)

  • This study has been conducted with $1^{st}$ grade elementary students where the purpose was to develop students' interest in themselves and to cultivate their self-awareness as the first step toward establishing a suitable course and career for their start-up features. Students have conducted the cyber study through "Incheon e-School" and cyber reading "Booktoby" and recorded three types of outcomes - affective self-awareness, social self-awareness and intelligence self-awareness - on each side of the Pyramid, thus constructing their own self-awareness pyramids of the system. According to the results, after such activities were undertaken during the $1^{st}$ semester, their opinion toward their self-control and study ability has improved as much as about 67% compared to that of the beginning of the last semester. Regarding the effects of cyber reading, their interest, spontaneity and understanding toward reading books have also improved as much as 54% and 50%, 33% respectively along with positive answers of as much as 75% with regard to self-awareness. When it comes to the results of the SCI-II test (used to evaluate self-awareness), the total average has improved by as much as 3 points and the three components of self-awareness - affective, social, and intelligence - have improved by as much as 4points, 1point, and 5points, respectively.

  • 인터넷과 기타 휴대용 PC등이 발전하고 보편화됨에 따라 인터넷 이용이 편리해짐은 좋지만 비대면성, 비익명성, 비 국경성 등 인터넷의 이러한 특성상 사이버 범죄들이 나날이 다양해지고 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 특히 사이버 범죄 중에서도 스토킹, 원조교제의 수단, 몰래카메라, 사이버음란물 유통 등 각종 신종 성폭력이 심각해지고 있어 사회문제로 끈임 없이 등장하고 있다. 현실세계에서의 성폭력과 마찬가지로 피해자가 느끼는 성적 수치심이나 심적 고통은 피해자의 자아에 깊은 상처를 남기며 더 나아가 왜곡된 성문화를 정착 시키는 새로운 사회적 문제로 작용한다는 점에서 사이버성폭력의 심각성과 문제는 오프라인상의 성폭력범죄에 비해 결코 뒤지지 않을 것이다. 물론 이러한 범죄들에 대한 처벌 조항들은 있다. 그러나 이런 것들이 있음에도 사이버상의 성폭력은 근절되지 않고 있다. 이것은 법적인 조치의 강화를 요구하는 동시에 인터넷을 사용하는 네티즌 스스로의 적극적 대처를 요구하는 것이기도 하다.
