With broad individual variability in social communication skills of children with autism spectrum disorders and increasing focus on interventions targeting social communication of this population, there is a need for systematic analysis of how social communication outcomes are measured. This study aimed to systematically analyze the measurement tools used in the music therapy interventions for improving social communication of children with ASD. Electronic databases and music therapy journals were searched for controlled studies published between 1980 and 2015. A total of 21 studies were included for the analysis. The results demonstrated that direct observation of behaviors was the most frequently used and the combination of targeted social communication areas and specific measurements used for a specific skill varied among the studies. In addition, 90.4% of studies reported interrater reliability. These results indicate that there has been a diversity in approaches to measure social communication skills despite increasing attempts for systematic measurements. In consideration of the nature of social communication development in children with ASD, multifaceted strategy to understand and assess the target skills in terms of specific behavior acquisition, social functioning in general, and social cognition was recommended.

흉부 X-ray 영상은 폐 질환을 진단하는 기본적인 도구로써 널리 사용되고 있다. 정확한 진단을 위해 흉부 X-ray 영상의 품질을 평가하는 과정을 거쳐야 하는데, 이 과정은 주관적인 기준에 따라 수 작업으로 이루어지기 때문에 많은 시간과 비용이 소요된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 임상 현장에서 사용되는 흉부 X-ray 영상 화질 평가 가이드라인을 기반으로 인공음영, 포함범위, 환자자세, 흡기정도, 그리고 투과 상태의 5가지 품질 평가를 자동화하는 도구를 제안한다. 제안하는 도구는 품질 판단에 소요되는 시간과 비용을 줄여주고, 더 나아가 흉부 병변 진단을 위한 학습 모델 개발의 양질의 학습 데이터를 선별하는 전처리 과정에 활용될 수 있다.

Existing usability testing method, particularly lab-based usability testing, has been widely implemented for development of user interface. However, the method has critical disadvantages such as high cost, time and effort, unnatural testing environment, and lack of user's direct participation in information architecture. With these backgrounds, this paper aims to develop the web-based participatory tool with particular focus on card sorting. Our tool was developed for allowing user to participate in card sorting with his own computer through web. All the data generated while user is participating in the test are automatically sent to the server, which makes it very easy to collect card sorting data. Users can drag cards of interface elements directly and build the interface structure in their own from their computer-screen so that they can represent their mental models on interface structure of testing website. These functions of our tool can help designers to implement card sorting without tedious and time consuming procedures and improve the method of usability testing by reinforcing user's active participation in building an information architecture.

The main purpose of this research is to develop and apply an evaluation tool of serious games for science learning. To develop the evaluation tool, probing references and analyzing previously generated evaluation tools and softwares were carried out. After that, 17 experts in elementary science education appraised serious games, 'milc & seereal', made by Gwacheon National Science Museum with the evaluation tool. The findings on the characteristics of good serious games from assessments are as follows; The learning objects of the games are coincident with national science curriculum, they strongly stimulate the students' motivation, the interfaces are neat and pretty useful for users to get informations, games are easy to maintain, inexpensive, and moral. When we develop or select serious games for science class, the strengths of good games should be considered.

웹은 디지털 정보화 시대에 정보를 제공하는 가장 보편적인 매체이며 이를 통한 정보 습득이 보편화 되어가고 있다. 대학기록관의 웹 기록은 대학이 소장하고 있는 기록물을 이용자가 웹을 통하여 보다 편리하게 이용할 수 있도록 한다. 본 연구는 국내 대학기록관 웹 사이트의 현황을 보다 정확하게 파악하기 위하여 자동화 평가 도구 K-WHA 3.0을 사용한 접근성 평가와 WebQual 4.0을 이용한 사용성 및 정보품질평가를 수행함으로써 객관성과 주관성 각각의 측면을 모두 고려하여 평가결과를 도출하였다. 또한 웹 기록에 대한 관심을 높이고 활용방안을 모색하기 위해 잠재적 이용자들을 대상으로 선정하여 사용자 경험에 기반한 설문조사를 실시하여 각 대학 별 대학기록관의 웹 기록 구축 현황에 대해 평가였으며 이러한 사용성 평가에 대한 분석을 통해 향후 대학기록관 웹 기록 관리의 발전방향을 제안하고자 한다.

Archives should provide a web-based archival information service with good usability based on the understanding of users' needs. Thus, this study analyzed the usability of the National Archives of Korea (NAK) website's search service through expert and usability evaluations for various users and suggested improvement plans. A literature review, heuristic evaluation, one of the usability expert evaluation methods, and usability evaluation for users were performed. As a result of expert evaluation, the severity rating for the usability problem was highest regarding a match between the system and real world and the lowest in error prevention. In the usability evaluation, it was assumed that the user's background and whether the website's help was provided is associated with usability. Usability evaluation was conducted for 22 participants, including those majoring in records management, web/application developers, and people without such backgrounds. Furthermore, a presurvey, a five-second test, and search tasks were conducted in a row. The analysis based on usability components in ISO 9241-11: 2018, i.e., effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction, showed that web/application developers had the highest search effectiveness, and those majoring in records management showed high effectiveness only in the search for archival content services. Background factors did not affect efficiency, and the more familiar with the finding aids, the better the efficiency. Moreover, providing the website's help was found to be positively associated with effectiveness and satisfaction. This study suggests that the NAK website will offer a user-friendly interface and search function, expand help support, and display a consistent web interface.

The interaction between web site and it's user is more active and free than that of any other interface environment. Consequently, it is very important that user interface environment must be fully considered in web site development process. In this study, first, web interface environment and it's features are examined, then web usability test techniques are analyzed, and on the basis of the results, new tool for visualizing various responses and patterns of web site user is developed. Finally, by applying newly developed tool to usability test process of an internal hub site and analyzing the results, effective methods for visualization and evaluation of using patterns of web site are suggested.

Rapid prototyping technology has been widely applied to the design process in the industry. This technology made it easy to generate a prototype which acts like a real product in logic. However, this technology has not been validated sufficiently as a usability test method. The purpose of this study was to test the hypothesis : There was no significant difference between a real product and its prototype. An experiment was designed to test it statistically. a microwave oven was selected and its prototype was generated using a rapid prototyping tool. Six subjects used the microwave oven and another six subjects used the prototype to perform five scenario tasks. As a result, there was significant difference between the real product and prototype in success rate, task completion time, and number of buttons pressed. The prototype was more difficult to operate than the real product. Therefore we should be careful when we apply rapid prototyping. technology. In the discussions, the causes of the difference were identified and some guidelines were suggested for who wants to apply rapid prototyping tool to the usability test.

To assess image quality accurately, an image quality assessment (IQA) metric is required to reflect the human visual system (HVS) properly. In other words, the structure, color, and contrast ratio of the image should be evaluated in consideration of various factors. In addition, as mobile embedded devices such as smartphone become popular, a fast computing speed is important. In this paper, the proposed IQA metric combines color similarity, gradient similarity, and phase similarity synergistically to satisfy the HVS and is designed by using optimized pooling and quantization for fast computation. The proposed IQA metric is compared against existing 13 methods using 4 kinds of evaluation methods. The experimental results show that the proposed IQA metric ranks the first on 3 evaluation methods and the first on the remaining method, next to VSI which is the most remarkable IQA metric. Its computing speed is on average about 20% faster than VSI's. In addition, we find that the proposed IQA metric has a bigger amount of correlation with the HVS than existing IQA metrics.

최근 플래시 메모리는 여러 장점들 때문에 다양한 휴대기기에서 많이 사용되고 있다. 반면 내구성에 약점을 갖고 있는 플래시 메모리의 특성 때문에 최대한 소거 동작을 적게 하여 오랫동안 사용하는 FTL 알고리즘을 개발하는 연구가 필요하다. 이러한 FTL 알고리즘을 실험하고 평가하기 위해서 트레이스 데이터를 연구에 활용하는 일이 많아지면서, 쉽게 트레이스 데이터에 대한 분석도구를 개발하였다. 우리는 트레이스 데이터를 다양한 그래프로 그려주고 통계치를 산출해주는 도구를 개발하였고, 이를 바탕으로 트레이스 분석 작업을 쉽게 할 수 있도록 하였다. 마찬가지로 이러한 도구는 버퍼 교체정책을 실험하고 평가하는 일에도 사용 될수 있다. 그리고 각 그래프를 설명하면서 트레이스에 데이터 대한 설명과 함께 분석을 통하여 버퍼교체 알고리즘 및 FTL 알고리즘에 어떻게 활용 할 수 있는지 설명하였다.
