Smart factories represent production facilities where cutting-edge information and communication technologies are fused with manufacturing processes, reflecting rapid advancements and changes in the global manufacturing sector. They capitalize on the integration of robotics and automation, the Internet of Things (IoT), and the convergence of artificial intelligence technologies to maximize production efficiency in various manufacturing environments. However, the smart factory environment is prone to security threats and vulnerabilities due to various attack techniques. When security threats occur in smart factories, they can lead to financial losses, damage to corporate reputation, and even human casualties, necessitating an appropriate security response. Therefore, this paper proposes a security authentication mechanism for safe communication in the smart factory environment. The components of the proposed authentication mechanism include smart devices, an internal operation management system, an authentication system, and a cloud storage server. The smart device registration process, authentication procedure, and the detailed design of anomaly detection and update procedures were meticulously developed. And the safety of the proposed authentication mechanism was analyzed, and through performance analysis with existing authentication mechanisms, we confirmed an efficiency improvement of approximately 8%. Additionally, this paper presents directions for future research on lightweight protocols and security strategies for the application of the proposed technology, aiming to enhance security.

Internet of things (IoT) is revolutionizing in the patient-Centered medical monitoring and management by authorizing the Smartphone application and data analysis with medical centers. The network connectivity is basic requirement to collect the observed human beings' health information from Smartphone to monitor the health from IoT medical devices in personal healthcare. The IoT environment built in Smartphone is very effective and does not demand infrastructure. This paper presents the smart phone deployed personal IoT architecture for Non-Invasive ECG Capturing. The adaptable IoT medical device cum Gateway is used for personal healthcare with big data storage on cloud configuration. In this approach, the Smartphone camera based imaging technique used to extract the personal ECG waveform and forward it to the cloud based big data storage connectivity using IoT architecture. Elaborated algorithm allows for efficient ECG registration directly from face image captured from Smartphone or Tablet camera. The profound technique may have an exceptional value in monitoring personal healthcare after adequate enhancements are introduced.
Computing technologies are increasingly applied to most casual human environment networks, as computing technologies are further developed. In addition, the rapidly increasing interest in IoT has led to the wide acceptance of speech recognition as a means of HCI. In this study, we present a novel method for recognizing the Korean vowel 'ㅜ', as a part of a phoneme based Korean speech recognition system. The proposed method involves analyses of bulk indicators calculated in the time domain instead of analysis in the frequency domain, with consequent reduction in the computational cost. Four elementary algorithms for detecting typical waveform patterns of 'ㅜ' using bulk indicators are presented and combined to make final decisions. The experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve 90.1% recognition accuracy, and recognition speed of 0.68 msec per syllable.
In this paper, we introduce the PB/MC-CDMA (Partial Block/Multi-Carrier-Code Division Multiple Access) system to mitigate inter-cell interference (ICI) and enhance user capacity in the small cell environment. In 5G mobile communications, the number of devices connected to the network is expected to increase exponentially with the expansion of the IoT (Internet of Things) services. In addition, each device is expected to be required by the various data rates by their content types. In LTE/LTE-A, there are some limitations that large scale connectivity and supporting various data rates. Therefore, we introduce a PB/MC-CDMA physical layer system which is suitable for the small cell environment, and evaluate the performance in the multi cell environment which is affected by ICI. Through computer simulation results, we demonstrate the effectiveness of PB/MC-CDMA for the small cell environment.

Big data analysis, in the large amount of data stored as the data warehouse which it refers the process of discovering meaningful new correlations, patterns, trends and creating new values. Thus, Big data analysis is an effective analysis of various big data that exist all over the world such as social big data, machine to machine (M2M) sensor data, and corporate customer relationship management data. In the big data era, it has become more important to effectively analyze not only structured data that is well organized in the database, but also unstructured big data such as the internet, social network services, and explosively generated web documents, e-mails, and social data in mobile environments. By the way, a meta analysis refers to a statistical literature synthesis method from the quantitative results of many known empirical studies. We reviewed a total of 750 samples among 50 studies published on the topic related as IDT between 2000 and 2017 in Korea.
The spread of wireless Internet technology development and applications with location information in the form of location-based services are becoming more diverse. The paradigm of Internet-of-things(IoT) systems is changing from a cloud-based system to an edge-based system to solve delays caused by network congestion, server overload and security issues due to data transmission. However, edge-based IoT systems have fatal weaknesses such as lack of performance and flexibility due to various limitations. To improve performance, application-specific hardware can be implemented in the edge device, but performance cannot be improved except for specific applications due to a fixed function. This paper introduces a edge-centric metamorphic IoT(mIoT) platform that can use a variety of hardware through on-demand partial reconfiguration despite the limited hardware resources of the edge device, so we can increase the performance and flexibility of the edge device. According to the experimental results, the edge-centric mIoT platform that executes the reconfiguration algorithm at the edge was able to reduce the number of server accesses by up to 82.2% compared to previous studies in which the reconfiguration algorithm was executed on the server.

Nowadays, Data-Network-AI (DNA)-based intelligent services and applications have become a reality to provide a new dimension of services that improve the quality of life and productivity of businesses. Artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance the value of IoT data (data collected by IoT devices). The internet of things (IoT) promotes the learning and intelligence capability of AI. To extract insights from massive volume IoT data in real-time using deep learning, processing capability needs to happen in the IoT end devices where data is generated. However, deep learning requires a significant number of computational resources that may not be available at the IoT end devices. Such problems have been addressed by transporting bulks of data from the IoT end devices to the cloud datacenters for processing. But transferring IoT big data to the cloud incurs prohibitively high transmission delay and privacy issues which are a major concern. Edge computing, where distributed computing nodes are placed close to the IoT end devices, is a viable solution to meet the high computation and low-latency requirements and to preserve the privacy of users. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the current state of leveraging deep learning within edge computing to unleash the potential of IoT big data generated from IoT end devices. We believe that the revision will have a contribution to the development of DNA-based intelligent services and applications. It describes the different distributed training and inference architectures of deep learning models across multiple nodes of the edge computing platform. It also provides the different privacy-preserving approaches of deep learning on the edge computing environment and the various application domains where deep learning on the network edge can be useful. Finally, it discusses open issues and challenges leveraging deep learning within edge computing.
