Studying the Comparative Analysis of Highway Traffic Accident Severity Using the Random Forest Method. (Random Forest를 활용한 고속도로 교통사고 심각도 비교분석에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: The trend of highway traffic accidents shows a repeating pattern of increase and decrease, with the fatality rate being highest on highways among all road types. Therefore, there is a need to establish improvement measures that reflect the situation within the country. Method: We conducted accident severity analysis using Random Forest on data from accidents occurring on 10 specific routes with high accident rates among national highways from 2019 to 2021. Factors influencing accident severity were identified. Result: The analysis, conducted using the SHAP package to determine the top 10 variable importance, revealed that among highway traffic accidents, the variables with a significant impact on accident severity are the age of the perpetrator being between 20 and less than 39 years, the time period being daytime (06:00-18:00), occurrence on weekends (Sat-Sun), seasons being summer and winter, violation of traffic regulations (failure to comply with safe driving), road type being a tunnel, geometric structure having a high number of lanes and a high speed limit. We identified a total of 10 independent variables that showed a positive correlation with highway traffic accident severity. Conclusion: As accidents on highways occur due to the complex interaction of various factors, predicting accidents poses significant challenges. However, utilizing the results obtained from this study, there is a need for in-depth analysis of the factors influencing the severity of highway traffic accidents. Efforts should be made to establish efficient and rational response measures based on the findings of this research.

A Research on the Quantitative Analysis of the Credit Information for the Improvement of Financial Policies for Startup Companies: Focusing on Negative Factors (창업기업 금융정책 개선을 위한 기업 신용정보 데이터의 정량적 분석 연구: 기업의 생존에 부정적인 요인을 중심으로)

  • Financial institutions around the world, including financially advanced nations, widely operate a credit information sharing system to ease off information asymmetry between financial institutions and financial consumers. This study analyzed the credit problem data that is actually being shared among financial institutions in Korea, and classified credit problem data into three categories; Frequency, Period, Amount. In survival analysis, this study analyzed how different types of credit problem influence on survival period of companies. Next, in comparative analysis, this study verified a difference between start-up companies and existing companies on classified conditions of the credit problems. After conducting a survival and comparative analysis of the credit information of 449,579 companies of 8 years' actual information sharing in Korea, it showed that the number of the frequency of accidents showed a positive(+) correlation with the survival period. This provides contrary evidence to the financial institutions' risk policies that the number of the frequency of accidents is a negative factor. Furthermore, since the start-up companies that are under 7 years old show more positive aspect in the survival period than existing companies, it draws a policy implication that the credit information sharing system need to be improved by taking account of characteristics of the start-up companies.

The Comparison and Analysis of Models on Ratio and Rate in Elementary Mathematics Textbooks : Centering on Multiplicative Perspectives on Proportional Relationships and the Structure of Proportion Situations (초등 수학 교과서 비와 비율 단원의 모델 비교 분석 -비례에 대한 곱셈적 사고 및 비례 상황의 구조를 중심으로)

  • This study investigated the models of four countries' elementary mathematics textbooks in Ratio and Rate and identified how multiplicative perspectives on proportional relationships and the structure of proportion situations are reflected in the textbooks. For this, textbooks of 5th and 6th grade textbooks in Korea Japan, Singapore and U.S. are compared and analyzed. As a result, we can find multiplicative perspectives on proportional relationships and the structure of proportion situations on pictorial models, ratio tables, double number lines and double tape diagrams. Also, the development of Japanese textbooks from multiple batches perspectives to variable parts perspectives and the examples of the use with two models together implied the connection and union of two multiplicative perspectives. Based on these results, careful verification and discussion for the next textbook is needed to develop students' proportional reasoning and teach some effective reasoning strategies. And this study will provide the implication for what kinds of and how visual models are presented in the next textbook.

Development of Traffic Accident Rate to Improve the Reliability of the Valuation of Accident Costs Savings on National Highways (국도 사고비용 산정의 신뢰도 향상을 위한 사고원단위 개선)

  • The accident rate in South Korea is simply classified according to the road type and the number of lanes, but other countries apply various factors affect accidents. In this study, national highways where accidents occurred were divided into urban, rural, older, and modern roads using TAAS(Traffic Accident Analysis System) data, and a model of accident costs savings is suggested. As a result of analyzing 1,416.2 km, the fatality rate(person/100mil-vehicle·km) was 4.21 for urban-older, 1.37 for urban-modern, 2.18 for rural-older, and 0.99 for rural-modern roads. The rates of urban roads had a higher result than rural. The injury rate(person/100mil-vehicle·km) for urban-older was 182.63, that for urban-modern was 103.42, that for rural-older was 67.44, and that for rural-modern road was 42.96, which showed a similar pattern to fatality rates. Accident rates of a modern road were much lower than the KDI Guideline. The benefit of applying the result of this study was calculated and the valuation of accident costs savings is increased from 0.6% to 14.1%, while B/C is improved from 0.626 to 0.724.

An analysis of behavioral characteristics in drivers in roll-over accident (전복사고 운전자를 대상으로 자동차 안전장치에 대한 행동특성 분석)

  • This is to analyze of driver behavioral and the accident characteristics in rollover. The study period was January 2011 to May 2014 and the subject of study was 102 person who were drivers visited the emergency room. Research tool includes a damage information of the vehicle, accident mechanism, damage to the patient clinical information with the injury data from the ROAD Traffic Authority. For data analysis, SPSS 18.0 was used for t-test, ANOVA and Chi-square test. Injury Severity Score average score according to the vehicle type is 6.00 points in the smaller vehicle, at high vehicle 11.78 points, from the other vehicle that showed 14.70 points. Significant differences between the three groups did not show (P=.267). Men did not use a seat belt significantly compared to women(P=.007). Vehicle type and weather, this was no correlation with whether or not use the seat belt(P=.755, P=.793). But showed a tendency to smaller size vehicles drivers do not use a seat belt, the weather could see a little more inclined to use a seat belt rather than a sunny day. Finally, in rollover accidents as in other types of accident it was confirmed that the seat belt has a great influence on the damage.

  • 지중 케이블의 고정 및 케이블 축력을 지지하는 목적으로 사용하는 케이블용 클리트는 실제로 여러 종류의 외력을 받으며, 이중 케이블 단락 사고시 발생하는 전자력이 가장 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 케이블 단락 사고시 발생 전자력을 계산하고 이 계산치를 바탕으로 클리트의 외력으로 모의하고, 이를 외력방향에 따라 인장시험을 통해 클리트 설계의 적절성을 확인하고자 한다.

  • 이 논문의 목적은 선박교통관제 시스템(VTS)을 도입할 경우, 이 시스템을 통하여 예방 가능한 해난사고가 어느 정도인지를 계량화 하여 q고자 하는 것이다. 기존의 연구에서는 전문가의 의견을 종합하는 방법이나 해난의 통계적 분석 방법중 하나를 이용하여 그 효과를 추정하였으나, 이 연구에서는 이들 두가지 방법을 동시에 고려한 새로운 방법을 제안하였다. 이 연구에서 새로이 제안한 방법을 이용하여 한국 연안에 VTS를 도입하였을 경우의 효과를 추정해 본 바, 전체적으로 보아 약 46퍼센트의 해난을 예방할 수 있을 것으로 예상되었다. 또한 이 방법을 이용하면 해난사고 종류별 예방 효과, 원인 요소 그룹별 효과 및 각 해역별 효과를 손쉽게 구할 수가 있다. 마지막 중요 변수의 병화에 따라 전체적인 결과가 어떻게 변하는지를 알아보기 위해 민감도 분석을 실시하였다.

  • Smart Phone 사용자가 증가하고, Smart Phone을 통한 침해사고도 증가되고 있다. 특히 2010년 3분기 국내 Smart Phone의 31%를 차지하고 있는 iPhone은 사용자가 Jailbreak를 통하여 관리자 권한을 스스로 획득함으로서 이를 악용한다면 개인정보 탈취 등 침해사고의 위험이 있다. 본 논문에서는 Jailbreak 한 iPhone을 이용하여 주변의 802.11 Packet Sniffing공격을 실시하고 802.11 AP 취약점을 분석한다. 또한 Google Map을 이용해 주변의 무선 AP 위치를 파악하고 AP의 종류, 위치, 거리, MAC, SSID, RSSI, Channel, 보안설정 정보를 탈취한다. 본 논문을 통하여 스마트폰과 무선 인터넷 보안성 강화를 위한 기초 자료를 제공하게 될 것이다.

  • 방사선을 센싱하는 센서들에는 어려 종류가 있으며, 그 센서에 따라서 감도나 센싱방식이 다양하다. 본 연구에서는 해상도가 높은 범용 CCD 센서를 이용하여 방사선을 검출하는데, 감도를 높이기 위해서 신실레이터라는 물질을 CCD CHIP 앞에 부착하였고, 들어오는 영상에서 방사선에 반응하여 생기는 백색량을 처리하여 방사선량을 측정할 수 있다는 것을 보여주고 있다. 또한 Panning을 하며 공간상에서 방사선이 가장 많이 나오는 포인터를 제시할 수 있다. 추후 스테레오 카메라 방식을 구현하여 방사선원까지의 거리 산출과 영상을 합성하여 입체화 시키는 연구도 진행할 예정이다. 논 연구의 결과물로 예기치 않은 방사선 사고의 경우 효과적인 사고처리에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • 무선 센서 네트워크(Wireless Sensor Network)는 차세대 IT 기술로서 소형, 저가, 저전력을 필요로 하며, 외부 환경의 모니터링과 제어기능을 수행할 수 있다. 이것은 소형 장치 안에 마이크로프로세서, 각종 센서, 액추에이터, 유 ${\cdot}$ 무선 통신 장치를 내장하는 수백 혹은 수천 개의 센서 노드로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 센서 네트워크를 이용하여 기상의 악천 후 속에서 차량 및 도로 상황 정보를 실시간으로 미리 획득하고 분석하여 운전자에게 미리 도로의 안전속도를 통보할 수 있는 실시간 차량 안전속도 서비스 시스템을 설계하고 구현된 결과를 보여 주고자 한다. 본 시스템은 노면의 종류 및 기상 상태 등에 대한 정보를 수집하여 이를 바탕으로 운전자에게 안전 속도를 알려줌으로써 교통사고를 효과적으로 예방할 수 있는 방법을 제공할 수 있다.
